Great Grab Bag, Enjoyed seeing the doubles @ Chehalis, WA. someone had plenty of time on their hands to vandalized this Caboose (why). Always great see Amtrak special 50th anniversary Engine/train car in celebration of our train service here in united states.
To tell you the truth, I thought it was kind of pretty. Not that that's an excuse for painting someone else's property without permission, but I could imagine companies actually hiring people to paint their cabooses that way.
6:53 I'm reminded of what a Santa Fe train crewman told me 40-some years ago about how NYC and PC crews used to abuse/trash ATSF cabooses on run-through trains. "Tagging" wasn't a thing back then, though.
Wow. That rainstorm at Elkhart was intense. Was it part of a bigger weather event, like a tornado or something, or was this just a one off heavy duty washdown?
Part of a front that moved through. It is also fair week for us, and the running joke is you cannot have the fair without heavy rain and high heat. It is now in the nineties and super humid.
Apparently not cabooses. But I'll tell you, I used to work for a church that only got one of its buildings "tagged" once, and rumor had it the kids who did it got the you-know-what kicked out of them by the local gang for messing with God's house!
I'm not an expert on how trains work, but I thought Norfolk Southern's "green" things only had traction motors, not an internal combustion engine, which is why they have to be paired with a regular engine. Aren't they just redistributing power from the main engine? They wouldn't generate enough heat themselves to have plumes, would they?
I really really really detest graffiti vandals. Yeah, impressive - where are they with the time and the painting equipment while they deface the equipment, the old road names? No guards in the yards? Or are they all "art" lovers?
I find it amusing the lack of common sense some people have in the comments section over the caboose. That graffiti on the caboose is vandalism and looks horrible, needs to be repainted. Meanwhile i just know it would be a waste of time and money. I'd give it under a week before that new paint job has less appealing looking graffiti on it. Wouldn't be the first time I've seen that happen.
2:54 😂😂😂 "Thank god for the man who put the white lines on the highway!"
Raindrops keep falling on my head in Elkhart.
9:13 Woohoo! SD75’S my favorite! 😊
Oh my that Caboose just had been vandalized by some trespassers
Those flowers at Elkhart got a nice drink!🌸💐🪷
Great, grab bag. I hope that caboose gets some help. That NS train through the rain in Elkhart IN, looks so powerful.

Salutări Bune Dragi Prieteni din sistemul Railfan Virtual👋👋👋👋💻📡👷😃😃
Interesting Caboose..quite the storm.
I love the rain in the Midwest Beyond beautiful!
We just can't have nice things... People have to heavily vandalize a caboose - and one you don't often see, too. 😢
To tell you the truth, I thought it was kind of pretty. Not that that's an excuse for painting someone else's property without permission, but I could imagine companies actually hiring people to paint their cabooses that way.
98% of graffiti is garbage, including what's on that one.
2:45 Thank God for the Man who sang, Thank God for the Man who put the white lines on the highway. RIP Michael Stanley

Train time
A Santa Fe Caboose, that was badly vandalized.
hot take but it's definitely some of the better graffiti I've seen, get that tagger a proper canvas and let em go ham, we's get some good stuff
Looked like it had had an argument with an,overhead obstruction too!
@@blackstone1a nononono
There people tagging BNSF uprr stuff in NorCal all over places
Tastefully graffitied, it could be much worse and have swear words written all over it.
Flowers are happy in Elkhart !
The CEFX AC4400CWs have recently been purchased by Norfolk Southern.
saw one in Riverside Illinois, CEFX 1042
I refer to all of it as, 'Decals by Morons'.
I seen that same geometry train at 1:00
@11:20 - Looks like an impressionist painting!
2:29 HEY NICE TO SEE THESE NOT SITTING IN THE YARD RUSTING AS DJ'S TRAINS HAS FEATURED ABOUT 100 TIMES
The caboose, they painted over a relic not knowing it.
@ 5:22 That's the biggest roll of Duc tape I ever seen , must be for the jolly green giant to gather his tomato vines.
Definitely a washer of gullies at Elkhart.
10:58 power goes out for a second
8:25 since he has a piece of paper - would this be a very large paint by numbers?
A new mother / slug? Wow.

It was part of an event.

Is nothing sacred to vandals?

No mention of the UFO (unidentified falling object) in the title.

Who ordered 86 foot boxex with plugdoors?
Hi VR, i never seen a heat plume from any of these , " green engines". Do they actually work? Has any one seen these actually working let us all know

@@trishoconnor2169 I don't know, hopefully some one can tell us more about them.
Yes, they do work. Afaik not very hard, but NS's tier 4 710 conversions don't seem to be unreliable.
The impressive Graffiti is the ones on the auto racks that cover the intire rail car.
I really really really detest graffiti vandals. Yeah, impressive - where are they with the time and the painting equipment while they deface the equipment, the old road names? No guards in the yards? Or are they all "art" lovers?
Why does Amtrak send 4 engines to pull one train ? Are they that bad?
9:52 interesting LRV's electronic warfare targeting weapons going to ukraine to take out the ruskies electronic warfare mobile units

One of the best graffiti I've seen so far. Give that artist a canvas and let him go at it
People who do graffiti should have to repaint what they destroyed.
@@troy.peters I agree!
I would be okay with launching bullets at graffiti taggers!🤔👍
I would rather know where they live and what they drive and paint their property.
At least paint balls🧶🧶🧶🧶🧶
So, you're ok with killing someone over some spray paint? Got it.
@@bobsmith9947
Who said anything about killing? Offer your property for tagging unless you have a better idea!

So when I politely tell people that they aren't first I get threatened with a ban but it's perfectly fine for people to argue over who was first?
Graffiti... evermore popular with growing populations, and inevitably more boring and predictable. All ego, no class and rarely skill. TOYS haha.
