Fun fact on the whole HP thing, Zhongli has the highest base HP out of every character in the entire game. So. Yeah. Dems rocks beefy.

When you're about to kill the Geo Hypostasis, stand in THE MIDDLE of the 3 pillars, hold E and burst, and they'll blow up instantly.

my "combo" is to make Zhongli stand in the middle then use (Hold) E, right after, use the meteorite.
He made mining a walk in the park. All I gotta do it hold down E and it just breaks.
He also instantly destroy geo slimes armor.
In short, build him half decently and he makes your team almost invincible while being an energy factory in the form of a sexy man

ZHONGLI CHANGES EVERYTHING.
If only they don't nerfed his Elemental Burst he probably would've. 20% physical damage debuff and 5 s petrify on an elemental burst that can be spam are nuts, he would basically make more than 90% of the in game enemies irrelevant.

Facts, you shouldn’t expect every 5 star to literally curb stomp an entire legion
People are mad because Geo characters are supposed to have higher stats to compensate for their reactions. How does Childe have an ult that does 10% more damage that you can vaporize and people still didn't consider him that good. He just doesn't feel good compared to other 5 stars. Pull him if you want him but it just doesn't make sense to consider him "good" when his numbers are so low.
But even as a support he doesn't compare to most others, for example in spiral abyss you don't really need survivability you just need damage since the point is to beat the stages as fast as possible. I mean sure if u can't beat certain stages he can help you beat them and he is f2p friendly since geo MC is good with him

As a dps Venti main, I never wanted Geo Diluc, I do want Diluc but I want Zhongli to be himself, not a Diluc copy and so far I love him! I play him also dps and I can say that he's great and his shield is so good, I love being a brick wall not caring for what is shooting me~

The best part of zhongli is how his shield will help him from getting staggered so his dps numbers may not be high but he can be doing the constant dps for the whole time without any interruptions. Also zhongli and xinyan are hinting towards a new shield focussed meta if its not already evident. New abyss floors (if released) will be more difficult obviously where you cant heal your way through the damage instead you will need to mitigate damage in the first place. Going to be interesting to say the least.
Sadly if it's time based it will almost always be "damage number go brrr" because it's a race against the clock. I hate the spiral abyss for that reason alone, extremely hampers the other things characters have to offer.
@@Gerwhal They might do a survival round. Yk where there will be 4-8 ruin hunturs and we need to survive for more than 180 seconds for 3 stars kind of stuff.

Well Zhong Li needed those slime cores to ascend so it's only natural right. After all he is an archon, he gets what he wants.
And he hates slimy things because of a sea creature incident so I'm sure he will have a good reason for his slimocide

Apparently during the Archon war there's a sea monster who when it's limbs were cut off they would move on their own, like living beings.
They would then spread around Liyue like a plague and cause problems for the people as they were found in places like well and damp places. They were describe as slimy and very stinky.
People then pray to Zhongli to exterminate this pests and as the God of Contract himself he abide to his contract as the ruler of Liyue and start exterminating the monster's limbs, from house to house.
It took him a pretty long time. After days and even months of experiencing the slimy and stinky stench of the creatures, Zhongli becomes traumatize of sea food.
All in questions in life answered with a simple word “depends”

He’s literally the perfect recipient for all the trash HP arts with incredible sub stats we get from domains. It not only adds damage to his ult but it also adds to how much his shield can absorb depending on your max HP. He’s the perfect support in terms of accessibility and functionality. I’ve made a 2:2 for him with Noblesse and Petra and oh my goodness, his ult is so good.

I'm free to play, basically the only times I wish are at the start of the month when I buy the fates from the store with the stardust stuff. I pulled Zhongli on like my 3rd roll and I nearly broke my desk. First 5-Star and I couldn't be happier.

I got Keqing and mine finally C1 + 2 Zhong Li (He's also C1 now). Surprisingly he protect Keqing and Klee A LOT with that shield of his. The pillar also useful, but you need to learn correct placement. Use it and Klee bom for maximal damage :d
You actually got lucky cause zhong li sucks as dps on par with xiangling when he have crescent pike.

His burst pertify enemies, help a low HP/squishy character a lot
Zhong li meant to be support. I use prototype grudge on him and it work very well
I was able to get him this banner and added him to my Albedo team(top 2 char of mine) and my god. The damage from the pulses coupled with Albedo’s ele skill is insane. Plus the two shield crystal sources…attack and defense constantly
I love how i am watching this build for him and thinking where to put him in my team and i dont even have 160 primogems to pull😂

I like how you didn't talk about constellations because the vast majority of people that get him aren't going to get past c0.
When I see other videos talk about constellations on 5* characters I just tune out.
Alternatively, you could craft the Prototype Grudge for the energy recharge substat if you don't have the Favonius Lance. Also, his shield duration lasts longer than the CD of his E when hold.

so for everyone saying john lee is bad and has "no synergy" I'll just explain to you my future team (if I ever get the mats together lmao)
so first the team: zhongli keqing venti and diona (I know it's not f2p friendly hush now!)
their role:
1. zhongli: he will use his beefy shield that has a 20 second uptime und just a measely 12 seconds cd!! and his totem thingy will be up also the meteor may be spammed
2. keqing: my main dps has an incredible physical build for all kinds of enemies
3. venti: you know the thing spamming his ult and stuff
4. diona: ALSO creating shields just pressing gives 3.6+ secs shields and holding gives 9 secs (lv1)
(the uptime depends on elemental skill level
maxed on level 15 it's a banging 15 secs just like the cooldown!) + procing ice (cooldown 7 secs on pressing 15 by holding) and the ult is able to heal in an AoE field that also deals cryo dmg over time
now to my startegy:
for mini mobs I will venti ult then zhongli ult mby diona or keqing ult aswell then finish with keqing (if it isn't over by now in most cases lol) or build up to repeat
now the special thing that zhongli allows for every content is lets say I'm fighting the wolf and he's almost done I just pop john's shield and also dionas for a very beefy shield combo and get the most out of my keqings stamina with the uptime to finish the boss (I'm not sure if you have stagger resistance using that strat by the time I'm writing this)
for the fight itself I pop one if it breaks I can pop the other one in an endless cycle + the cooldown of the other character will probably be gone after one shield is broken just ready to recast what'll make you almost invinc
a little extra is that with everytime I use dionas shield she procs ice on one enemie so I switch to keqing to press her elemental ONCE otherwise you teleport and convert your dmg type to electro what would be a nerf to my physical build
that way it just points the teleport marker on the target and procs electro without losing your phys dmg and allows you to dish out some serious dmg even to enemies with resistance to physical because of the super conduct reaction!

zhongli change my 2 star to 3 star in abyys floor 12
one thing you didnt mention which is kinda important is that his shield lasts for 20 sec with 12 sec cooldown, meaning 100% uptime on both his barrier and construct at the same time, so once he is tanky enough, he provides small but constant energy recharge for his team with his construct AND keeps your main dps safe from dmg and stagger ALL the time. And ultimate that can CC even big enemies (those that are immune to say Mona's CC) is just an icing on the cake.
Also, you showcasing the insane ult stacks is what also thought when first trying zhongli... glad I wasn't crazy to think that!

TIP 8: Use his charged E skill for mining. It instantly breaks all mining nodes in his AOE.

Support build : 2 pc set Petra 2 pc nobles set gonna need Geo DMG bonus on the goblet and hp% on the clock thing then go for energy recharge on the rest . The best wepon would be skyward spine . The alternative is the prototype one. Use him with a DPS Ningguang

Got the 5 monthly wishes from shop; first one was Xinyan. I'm fine with that.
used my saved up 17 wishes. got a 4 star weapon and nothing else lol. at least i got a bennet copy from the regular banner even though he is still lvl 1
Xinyan is really fun to play with, I've got her too and I feel like right now I don't even want any new characters (including Zhongli) because it would be just frustrating to have them and not be able to level all of them

He might not be the biggest dmg dealer, but with that kit - I'm glad I pulled for him. 😊
Wait till u hear he does lower damage than xiangling which is a free 4*, and skill does no damage and doesn't give back energy constantly. And his ult damage is low, not enough to be a burst damage dealer even. His cc is 3.6 secs which is like 3 auto attacks or switch to another character and 1 auto + skill maybe. Someone tested him out and called him the worst 5* to this date.
@@zxcv5647 You are acting like every 5 star is supposed to be a carry, that is why there are roles in the first place and zhongli's role is tank/support/burst, basically an all rounder. You cant really compare a xiangling to him considering they are drastically different from one another eh? When i got him i was underwhelmed at the damage but when you build him as support he's amazing for burst and abyss so really depends if you are the type of player who wants everyone to be a carry...
@@mangopie2576 he is not amazing at burst damage. I'm not saying i expected him to be a carry. I expected him to be a burst support and so far he doesn't do enough damage to act that role. Yes he has 40 in energy for his ult but his element skill regenerates his ult slow and his element skill does basically no damage on top of that. I guess he is a tank! He got high hp and shield but in this game we don't need that. For abyss we need to clear it fast, there is no content to 'survive' it's just better to run a Xinqiu rather than him as a support if u want more damage reduction on top of damage.

Zhongli is a Venti-type character for he also offers UNIQUE synergy with other units. They offer fun utilities but they are not necessities. Both of them have the potential to be great DPS at C6. Whereas for the majority of players, the characters they have already invested resources in will not be rendered “obsolete” by these new five-star characters.
MiHoYo intended to run this game as a long-term project. Avoiding power creep is beneficial to the longevity of this game.
Zhongli does not have the potential to be a great dps at c6. Just slightly better.

Zhong Li is my main supp with my Razor comp! I have a Noblesse set on him with a bunch of energy recharge so my ult is up so often I love it!

HI dude ! U can cancel animation his 6th auto attack by jumping just at the begining of the animation. The same for the charged auto attack. This improve his main dps style. Thx for u video and all your stuff

@@Pancorka i actually recommend not putting zhongli in the team, he seems weaker than i thought. If you really want to use zhongli then build a team around him instead of putting him in an already built team.

I saw this in reddit but when you use your basic attack and when the enemies is knocked back you can use the puller to shoot it up to do fall damage on them and do to his low CD you can do it a lot of times (if you don't miss)
A tip to increase his dps is dash soon as ur feet touch the lance on your normal combo, you cancel tbe animation but the lance still spins which makes you start another combo sooner while the lance spins meaning more dps for you! and of course retracing bolide since the shield is on you 100% of the time

as i said in the last video about zhong li drama, just go for a full support with him + ninguang with an energy rate weapon (or enough form other sources), and ningguang or zhong pick a favonius, it's just even with poor uprageded artifacts full utli ready all the time. If you have the C6 on ninguang, it's just killer time.
Also, always put your pillar before ult, then ult during cast of the pillar, and land a charge attack (or a few normal) before shielding and switch to other characters to land thier ults, so you always refresh your main source of (geo) elemental energy and your shield (the health of the shield as duration).
Another thing to note about his Geo Construct is that the pulsing also resonates with the enemies' Geo constructs. This include those Hilichurls that summon stone pillars and the shields on those big Hilichurls

Your free to play videos got me to crack and finally give this a game a try. Since I dont work over the winter I've been grinding like crazy and hit ar 25 in like 3 days. I saved up all my primos and literally got zongli on my 1st 10 pull. Plus I got the 4 star banner characters too. Seems fishy tbh, but im not complaining
