Love, love, LOVE the SNES! 4 games that I absolutely adore for this system (beyond the usual like Zelda, Metroid etc) are: 1 - Demon's Crest 2 - Blackthorne 3 - Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse 4 - Castlevania: Dracula X I'm not a Mickey Mouse fan, but man, that game was absolutely beautiful.
I remember staying up all night with my big bro. With no sound so my Mom won't wake up. Such a underrated game that has a lot of stages. Killer instinct is my close second
Awesome, I've been looking into the SNES more and more lately. I have the ugly original with a yellowed bottom half. But some RGB + FrameMeister should have it looking smexy. I also pre-ordered the Super NT when it was announced. HYPE. Thanks guys!
Great video! I have to mention Final Fantasy IV (released in NA as Final Fantasy II). It's common for people to automatically think of Final Fantasy III (aka VI) and Crono Trigger as the great pillars of Square's SNES output (which they are), but IV is an absolutely amazing game as well. It was the first RPG I ever played that had a story and characters that REALLY mattered.
dudes .. my god that period we had bunch of lovely memories and how they shaped our personalities at this time u just summoned it in a glance i almost was going to tear ^^
Erik Cobra Kai never Dies great game but I would recommend the one on sega. it’s sooo much better and you have a sword which makes a huge difference we’re on the snes it’s more platformer and your attack method is throwing apples which you can run out of so sega is better
If I had a Super Nintendo, I would get the very first model because the first model has an eject button which pops out your cartridges. Accessory-wise, I would get Super Nintendo arcade sticks for fighting games, beat 'em ups, shooters and so on and I would get a multi-tap for the Bomberman series on the Super Nintendo. Plus, I would also get the Super Game Boy add-on for the Super Nintendo because the Super Game Boy plays all of your classic Game Boy games on your TV. Warning: the Super Game Boy cannot play Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance games. If you want to play Game Boy Color games on your TV, then I recommend getting the Super Game Boy 2. Game-wise, I would get: 1. Ms. Pac-Man (Like the Sega Genesis/Sega Mega Drive version, the Super Nintendo version has the Pac-Booster option, original arcade, big, mini and strange mazes and so on). 2. Final Fight. 3. Final Fight 2. 4. Final Fight 3. 5. Final Fight Guy. 6. Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers. 7. Kirby's Avalanche. 8. Super Mario All-Stars. 9. Pac-Attack. 10. Super Bomberman. 11. Super Bomberman 2. 12. Super Bomberman 3. 13. Art of Fighting. 14. Mortal Kombat. 15. Mortal Kombat 2. 16. Mortal Kombat 3. 17. Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3. 18. Street Fighter Alpha 2. 19. Space Invaders. 20. Fatal Fury: King of Fighters. 21. Fatal Fury 2. 22. Fatal Fury Special. And 23. Super Mario Kart.
Nice list, my favorites from your choices are Donkey Kong Country, Street Fighter 2, NBA Jam TE, and Super Mario World. I'd add: - Super Castlevania IV - Super Mario Kart - Contra III - Killer Instinct - Mortal Kombat 2 - Super Punch Out - X-men mutant apocolypse - Ken Griffin Jr's Baseball Those are the ones I remember enjoying the most in grade school, but not sure how they've held up.
Yes. 👍 Saving the princess just didn’t strike my fancy as much as having a cortex bomb strapped to your wetware and only 30 hrs to get rid of it. 😁 And a talking dog. 🐕
+SaitoGamer I agree! I finished both versions and prefer the Sega one just a bit more. I still have my complete copy, I wish I had kept my SNES version too.
Love how detailed you guys get with the specifics on outputs with these. SNES is one of the best consoles ever created. So many incredible memories with the RPGs that I had with it! Super Mario World is still my favorite Mario game... But Odyssey will certainly give that a run for its money!
+Smash JT I'm sorry but you can't seriously say they get "detailed" regarding the machine's output when they don't even mention that the SNES(not jr, although can be moded) outputs RGB video natively... (I wouldn't have harped on you if you hadn't specified this but... you did).
RGB scart doesn’t exist in the US that’s why they probably never mentioned it as unless you use a scaler or get a pvm you cant use an RGB cart cable on a standard US Television unlike in the Pal regions where it’s just plug in and play
ReplayStationShow Ehh.. obviously the Snes didn't feature as many shmups as Genesis or Turbografx, but it had some good ones as you say. But you forgot the best Snes shmups of all - Super Aleste aka Space Megaforce, what an awesome game, one of the very best 16 bit shmups!
It's honestly shocking how well Space Mega runs on a vanilla Snes (Compile are technical wizards). Anyways, Thunderforce IVs the king of 16-bit shmups! (imo)
Retro Soul Thunder force 4 is undeniably awesome. In fact, now I kinda want to play it tonight after the wife and kid are tucked up in bed... Think I will.
Earthbound is a must play. My all time favorite game of all time. I do a full playthrough at least once a year. The demand is high and it did not sell well so it is an expensive game but totally worth it. Really great game.
Absolutely right. Since biker mice was a kids series it fid not adppeal to me back then. R&R racing was one of those games that stood out. With real metal tracks by actual world renown artist!! No game had that!!
Hi john I just survived category 5 hurricane Maria and my home town of Yabucoa Puerto Rico was destroyed...... We have no electricity..... It's been over a month and today I got a decent signal on my cell phone..... And I Had to watch your channel! !! Thank you for being honest with your opinion and entertaining content on your channel !!! It lifted my spirits and now I'm not so depress anymore! ! Love what you are doing on your channel!! Great info! Maybe when I get electricity in my home town I could be able to purchase one those snes clones, in the year 2025 maybe,LOL!! Thanks again John Just a fan wishing you the best from P.R.
I always loved how it looked, its definitely my favorite system. I use it with the HD retrovison component cables, omg you've never seen a snes look that good before!!
A lot was lost for the SNES port of Killer Instinct but it was decent enough to give KI fans something to hold them over to the N64's Killer Instinct Gold, which mopped the floor with the SNES KI.
Here's what I would put on this list that they did not mention: - Bust-A-Move - Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest - F-Zero - Megaman X - Earthbound - Pilotwings - Super Mario Kart - Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars - Wario’s Woods -Phalanx -Space Megaforce -Kirby Super Star -Super Punchout - Indiana Jones: Greatest Adventures -Joe & Mac -Goof Troop - Zombies Ate My Neighbors - Super Bomberman 2 -Super Castlevania 4 -Super Star Wars (the whole trilogy)
you forgot there is also Europe, where you can use RGB SCART cable. and a handful of exclusives. sometimes i have the idea that people forget that there is more then just america and that europe has it's own market.
we we can't help it. we just have to live with it. but on the other hand the north american SNES is ugly as hell so we got that going for us which is nice.
SNES was the golden age of console gaming. There wasn't really a parity in games vs. PC as there is today (in terms of quality and volume). SOOO many amazing games that hold up today.
Games I had as a kid that still hold up: DKC, Mario Kart, Mario All Stars, Aladdin, F Zero... What a gift. Used to play Zombies at my neighbor’s house, awesome co-op, along with Mario World. Another friend had Turtles In Time, DKC2, and Kirby Super Star, man what a library. It was the mid to late 90s and everyone still played the crap out of the Super Nintendo. So grateful for that era. Then when Pokémon exploded I felt like the biggest badass playing Pokémon Blue on my basement TV. They no longer made games for the system by then, but we barely noticed. PS1 and N64 crept into the circuit very gradually, the system just refused to die. Long Live The Super Nintendo!! (Nobody I knew ever called it SNES)
Mario Paint was pretty sweet honestly, very advanced for the time, but the fact that you couldn't really save certain things or reproduce the work makes it seem gimmicky. Full music composer and that cool fly swatter game. They also had little 4 step animations, and custom track ins for objects, shit was really tight. For its time it was way up there, Id take that over ms paint any day, even today's. It does almost all the same stuff one way or another.
A couple buddies and I just built our own 4 player arcade cabinet. TMNT Turtles in Time was the first game we put on there. That game is so much fun getting 4 friends together and playing through
Very good selection! It's obviously missing many fantastic titles, as the SNES has a great library, but if I had to add just one more, my absolute favorite game for the system is Kirby Super Star. It consists of many smaller adventures with very different stories and play styles, the many abilities and moves you can use is amazing, the graphics and music are fantastic, and it has 2-player co-op. It should absolutely be on every SNES owner's shelf.
Darius Twin, Dragon Ball Z Hyper Fighting (Super Famicom), Super 8 console attachment, Super Game Boy, Final Fantasy III, Street Fighter II, Super Star Wars, Zelda, Fatal Fury Special. This list can go on and on.
Why on earth do so many of these snes must have lists not include zombies ate my neighbors?? Its just so amazing...i don't get it. Love your channel though. Keep rocking 🤟🏻
Great Video! I remember playing the SNES M-16 rifle game at US Army Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood in 1998! I also have to mention Mortal Kombat 2 as one of my must-haves for SNES. Great graphics, great port from arcade version, fatalities, & friendships! Finish Him! So many great memories of playing MK2 with my little brother & next door neighbor!
Excellent list of games, I would've also included Axelay, Pilotwings, Super Adventure Island, Super Turrican, Super Castlevania 4, Contra 3, Batman Returns, Alien 3..
I think the SNES didn't get all three elephants on both sides because it didn't have enough CPU speed to animate them, and the Genesis had the CPU speed but it didn't have enough colors to color all six elephants! And the TurboGrafx 16 didn't have the parallax scrolling to do all the elephants! Sucks that all the 16 bit systems had their limitations to get all the elephants on that stage! I think if it were made for the neogeo it would've been a perfect Port! I have no idea why I'm knit picking it was still awesome on all three consoles! Maybe if the SNES would've used a DSP chip for more speed then it would be possible on it! And if the TurboGrafx 16 had added a parallax scrolling chip to the hu card then maybe it could've been done on it! But the Genesis is the only one that it wouldn't be possible on because of the 64 colors on screen unless programmers could find a way to use more colors out of the 512! Lol
I was thinking how I have made big lists before, but it is unrealistic to have collections that big, even when the Super Nintendo was out, we only had about 20 games total. I feel the SNES Classic list is pretty solid already, so I would mention 30 games that are very enjoyable not included in the SNES Classic: - ActRaiser - Axelay - Battletoads & Double Dragon - Captain America & The Avengers - Chrono Trigger - Diddy's Kong Quest - Dixie Kong's Double Trouble! - Goof Troop - Gradius III - Hagane The Final Conflict - HyperZone - Illusion Of Gaia - Imperium - Killer Instinct - Mega Man X2 - Mega Man X3 - Mortal Kombat II - Mortal Kombat 3 - Ninja Warriors - Prince Of Persia - Robotrek - Run Saber - Skyblazer - Soul Blazer - Space Megaforce - Sunset Riders - Tetris Attack - Turtles In Time - U.N. Squadron - Wild Guns
Things to note if you don't want to spend alot more for physical SNES carts, or if you want to play on HDMI Displays w/o any adapters or additional cables; A SNES Classic will give you Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Final Fantasy 3, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Super Ghouls and Ghosts, Zelda: A Link to the Past Most games just listed are available off of nintendo's eshop (at least on the Wii U's eshop) Chrono Trigger can be purchased on Steam, or you can get the original DS version, both are very identical to the version on the Super Nintendo Super Mario All-Stars is available physically on the Wii, I recommend playing WIi games on the Wii U Only exclusives I see here that haven't been rereleased are Biker Mice From Mars, ActRaiser and Turtles In Time
The first game i was introduced to was dkc1. I'm so grateful i got to experience that moment in contrast to what kids experience as their first game today.

I never really cared for "Super Mario RPG", mainly because I didn't find it to be as fun or enjoyable as "Paper Mario" on the Nintendo 64 or "Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga" on the Game Boy Advance. :P

It really inspires me watching passionate people. Keep it up. Your channel is like a museum of videogames, really awesome content. Greetings for Argentina!
Some inaccuracies... The SNES controller was not based on the NES/Famicom dogbone controller. The NES-101 (top loader) was released with the newky designed dogbone controller in the USA and Japan in 1993. The SNES, of course, was released in 1990 (Japan) / 1991 (USA). So the dogbone controller was in fact based on the SNS -001 controller. The SNES 101 (AKA SNES 2, JR, Mini). It's biggest shortcoming is the lack of native RGB. Luckily there is a mod for it. With this mod, you will have the very best looking RGB color output. RGB is important if you plan on using the mention HDRetrovision YPbPr component cables. Otherwise it will not work AT ALL! Svideo is also a huge improvement for a CRT as well. Composite looks pretty poor on a CRT IMO.
I was shocked too. I owned SNES when it came out so I was like "How can Metal Jesus not have played this game to death!?" It was packaged with the console and probably the best Mario game out there overall.
(other than the ones you guys mentioned) - Pocky and Rocky - Battletoads: in battlemaniacs - Killer Instinct - Zombies ate my neighbors - Tiny Toon adventures: Buster busts loose Etc.

Personal favorites are already listed. Games I loved that didn't make the list are many. But the best one? Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals. Zelda like puzzle solving with tools in dungeons, seeing the monsters to try and avoid the encounters in said dungeons, raising monsters to fight beside you, a huge cast of characters, and a unique challenge in the Ancient Cave. There is a ton to like for anyone who enjoys turn based RPGs. Wish this series was still alive. Only downside was that if you did the Ancient Cave early, the blue items that you can take with you would OP your characters very early in the story. Love BoF2 as well for those looking for a more challenging foray. Also anything Quintet(get that European copy of Terranigma!).
They switched to the PS1 to develop classics like Silent Hill when Nintendo both refused to move away from cartridges and pissed many of the Japanese developers off (just like Square!).
I completely agree with FF3. My first rpg game ever played, still my favorite and still in my collection, with manual and game guide. Absolutely love it. Great video, guys. 😎

Love, love, LOVE the SNES! 4 games that I absolutely adore for this system (beyond the usual like Zelda, Metroid etc) are:
1 - Demon's Crest
2 - Blackthorne
3 - Magical Quest Starring Mickey Mouse
4 - Castlevania: Dracula X
I'm not a Mickey Mouse fan, but man, that game was absolutely beautiful.
I was a big Mickey Magical Quest fan. Great graphics and excellent mechanic with the different outfits per stage.
Zombies Ate My Neighbors is and always will be my favorite! ☺❤
Idk what it is about ZAMN, but I have a special feeling when I think of it. Not on par with DKC trilogy...but still a good one.
same here! one of the best co-op games ever.
I just got the rom... maybe with save state I can finally beat it!
Ghoul Patrol is another good one. czcams.com/video/QC_LBrIne2A/video.html
You got that first RPG nostalgia for it. It was good and all but eh
TMNT 4 is legendary! I make sure to replay it every year
If you want a really good game for the SNES, get Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island. It's one of my favourite games of all time.
dudes .. my god that period we had bunch of lovely memories and how they shaped our personalities at this time u just summoned it in a glance i almost was going to tear ^^
One of my favorite games on SNES and a must own in my opinion is Disney's Aladdin.
Erik Cobra Kai never Dies great game but I would recommend the one on sega. it’s sooo much better and you have a sword which makes a huge difference we’re on the snes it’s more platformer and your attack method is throwing apples which you can run out of so sega is better
@@Itsfayd did not know that... thanks for the info
Lol no lie it was a good game tho
Illusion of Gaia is and always will remain my favorite game, not just on the SNES but of all-time
If I had a Super Nintendo, I would get the very first model because the first model has an eject button which pops out your cartridges. Game-wise, I would get:
1. Ms. Pac-Man (Like the Sega Genesis/Sega Mega Drive version, the Super Nintendo version has the Pac-Booster option, original arcade, big, mini and strange mazes and so on).
2. Final Fight.
3. Final Fight 2.
4. Final Fight 3.
5. Final Fight Guy.
6. Super Street Fighter 2: The New Challengers.
7. Kirby's Avalanche.
8. Super Mario All-Stars.
9. Pac-Attack.
10. Super Bomberman.
11. Super Bomberman 2.
12. Super Bomberman 3.
13. Art of Fighting.
14. Mortal Kombat.
15. Mortal Kombat 2.
16. Mortal Kombat 3.
17. Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3.
18. Street Fighter Alpha 2.
19. Space Invaders.
20. Fatal Fury: King of Fighters.
21. Fatal Fury 2.
22. Fatal Fury Special.
And 23. Super Mario Kart.
Nice list, my favorites from your choices are Donkey Kong Country, Street Fighter 2, NBA Jam TE, and Super Mario World. I'd add:
- Super Castlevania IV
- Super Mario Kart
- Contra III
- Killer Instinct
- Mortal Kombat 2
- Super Punch Out
- X-men mutant apocolypse
- Ken Griffin Jr's Baseball
Those are the ones I remember enjoying the most in grade school, but not sure how they've held up.
Shadowrun was a great game for the SNES. It's set in Seattle!
Stash Merkin One of my favorite rpgs.
to me its better on Genesis.
Yes. 👍
Saving the princess just didn’t strike my fancy as much as having a cortex bomb strapped to your wetware and only 30 hrs to get rid of it. 😁
And a talking dog. 🐕
+SaitoGamer I agree! I finished both versions and prefer the Sega one just a bit more. I still have my complete copy, I wish I had kept my SNES version too.
Yes Yes Yes Shadowrun No 1!
I love Warios Woods, usually I'm not into puzzle games but this one is soooo great!
Love how detailed you guys get with the specifics on outputs with these. SNES is one of the best consoles ever created. So many incredible memories with the RPGs that I had with it! Super Mario World is still my favorite Mario game... But Odyssey will certainly give that a run for its money!
Gabbiadini the Super NT is coming with HDMI output at 1080p
+Smash JT I'm sorry but you can't seriously say they get "detailed" regarding the machine's output when they don't even mention that the SNES(not jr, although can be moded) outputs RGB video natively... (I wouldn't have harped on you if you hadn't specified this but... you did).
RGB scart doesn’t exist in the US that’s why they probably never mentioned it as unless you use a scaler or get a pvm you cant use an RGB cart cable on a standard US Television unlike in the Pal regions where it’s just plug in and play
SNES Jr is best for RGB mods. Also you should have mentioned that the Japanese Super Gameboy2 is much better and about the same price.
What is it that made the Super Gameboy 2 better? Sounds like a neat buy!
has accurate timing and more backgrounds/features
KWKBOX
Also has the link Cable port to play multiplayer, which is probably its best feature, at least imo.
"This is a controller you can beat on, extensively, and it'll still work" - John Hancock, 2017.
Sunset Riders, Killer Instinct, and Bust-a-Move are timeless.
I love the way Metal Jesus always says “that’s so funny” or “too funny”...in the most serious tone
How do u not have mega man x, contra 3 and super castlevania 4 on that list.
I agree
When x said hadoken i cringed.
Hell yeah, those are the kind of titles I was 100% will be on the list haha
IKR, Super Castlevania 4 is def in my top 5 best games of all time list.
I would include Rampart. Such a great 2 player game. I have very fond memories of this game. And Clay Fighter was great
There were a lot of really good shmups on the SNES, too... U.N. Squadron, Darius Twin, Super R-Type, Axlay... lots of good stuff for shooter fans
I like your avatar, ReplayStationShow.
Church!
Legend of the Mystical ninja is one of my Favorite game of all time on the SNES xD
I never thought the super Nintendo looked bad at all.
super famicom was a better design
The Japanese and European design aged better
@@subzero8679
Yes really
@@subzero8679
Well the US SNES looks like a plastic toy.
@@subzero8679
They aren't supposed to be.
Earthbound is a must play. My all time favorite game of all time. I do a full playthrough at least once a year. The demand is high and it did not sell well so it is an expensive game but totally worth it. Really great game.
Super castlevania 4!!!
indeed! the best! :)
Love the SNES one of my favorite consoles.
I'm off to go play my SNES classic mini
I can't say enough good things about Rock N Roll Racing. Still worth the $35 it costs.
I absolutly agree one of my all time favorite great racing games!! I dunno about biker mice but I highly doubt it tops r and r racing.
Absolutely right. Since biker mice was a kids series it fid not adppeal to me back then. R&R racing was one of those games that stood out. With real metal tracks by actual world renown artist!! No game had that!!
Batman Returns was dope.
Hi john
I just survived category 5 hurricane Maria and my home town of Yabucoa Puerto Rico was destroyed......
We have no electricity.....
It's been over a month and today I got a decent signal on my cell phone..... And I
Had to watch your channel!
Thanks again John
Just a fan wishing you the best from P.R.
Contra 3 dude! Come on now! Super Castlevania baby! Get it in there!
I always loved how it looked, its definitely my favorite system. I use it with the HD retrovison component cables, omg you've never seen a snes look that good before!!
Killer Instinct
Right,have could I forgot Killer Instinct?😱😀
A lot was lost for the SNES port of Killer Instinct but it was decent enough to give KI fans something to hold them over to the N64's Killer Instinct Gold, which mopped the floor with the SNES KI.
I just picked up a retron 3. First 3 games I bought were Killer Instinct, Tetris Attack, and Mortal Kombat (the sega genesis copy)
Just picked it up for the retro duo 2.0 cannot wait
Good call. Primal Instinct?
Here's what I would put on this list that they did not mention:
- Bust-A-Move
- Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest
- F-Zero
- Megaman X
- Earthbound
- Pilotwings
- Super Mario Kart
- Super Mario RPG: Legend Of The Seven Stars
- Wario’s Woods
-Phalanx
-Space Megaforce
-Kirby Super Star
-Super Punchout
- Indiana Jones: Greatest Adventures
-Joe & Mac
-Goof Troop
- Zombies Ate My Neighbors
- Super Bomberman 2
-Super Castlevania 4
-Super Star Wars (the whole trilogy)
top gear 2, killer instinct and of course the mortalkombat series also great titles to have
Yuuup Top Gear and K.I... K.I soundtrack is dope!!
international superstar soccer deluxe- this game is one big gem
you forgot there is also Europe, where you can use RGB SCART cable. and a handful of exclusives. sometimes i have the idea that people forget that there is more then just america and that europe has it's own market.
50hz games... /puke
we we can't help it. we just have to live with it. but on the other hand the north american SNES is ugly as hell so we got that going for us which is nice.
OK but he lives in the US so why would he know anything about Europe's SNES cables.
well he could look it up, so he can also inform his European viewers. if you make something on the internet try to make it as globally as possible.
I always think it's funny when yanks say the world wide video game crash. Never really had that out side of America.
I do have both the NES and SNES Classics, any 80s or 90s kid must have them I will be getting the Sega Genesis Classic as well
SNES was the golden age of console gaming.
What about the mouse? I know it was a bit gimmicky, but it's still an accessory that should have been mentioned.
That game is so much fun getting 4 friends together and playing through
Dude! Knights of the Round and King of Dragons!
Bojanglez667 TC No doubt. I loved the game in the arcade. It was later released on PSP as part of one of the Capcom Classic collections.
Watching some videos since I caught the super NT restock :P looking forward to playing some classics again.
I never see anyone mention fkin mortal kombat 2, 3, 3 ultimate, killer instinct... I still wonder why...
10- Earthworm Jim 2
9- Hagane
8- Clock Tower
7- Killer Instinct
6- Front Mission
5- Spriggan
4- Contra 3
3- Mario RPG
2- Donkey Kong 2
1- Megaman 7
The Jurassic Park game is super good and Top Gear also you didn’t mention star fox!
I feel the SNES Classic list is pretty solid already, so I would mention 30 games that are very enjoyable not included in the SNES Classic:
- ActRaiser
- Axelay
- Battletoads & Double Dragon
- Captain America & The Avengers
- Chrono Trigger
- Diddy's Kong Quest
- Dixie Kong's Double Trouble!
- Goof Troop
- Gradius III
- Hagane The Final Conflict
- HyperZone
- Illusion Of Gaia
- Imperium
- Killer Instinct
- Mega Man X2
- Mega Man X3
- Mortal Kombat II
- Mortal Kombat 3
- Ninja Warriors
- Prince Of Persia
- Robotrek
- Run Saber
- Skyblazer
- Soul Blazer
- Space Megaforce
- Sunset Riders
- Tetris Attack
- Turtles In Time
- U.N. Squadron
- Wild Guns
stratogustav - I’ve been slooowly building back up my complete-in-the-box Super Nintendo games collection.
@@NYCJoeBlack Nice! I loved those plastic transparent protections for the cartridges.
"Top" racer on the SNES with one of the best orginal soundtracks of any era none other than Top Gear!!!
Things to note if you don't want to spend alot more for physical SNES carts, or if you want to play on HDMI Displays w/o any adapters or additional cables;
A SNES Classic will give you Donkey Kong Country, Super Mario World, Super Metroid, Final Fantasy 3, Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Super Ghouls and Ghosts, Zelda: A Link to the Past
Most games just listed are available off of nintendo's eshop (at least on the Wii U's eshop)
Chrono Trigger can be purchased on Steam, or you can get the original DS version, both are very identical to the version on the Super Nintendo
Super Mario All-Stars is available physically on the Wii, I recommend playing WIi games on the Wii U
Only exclusives I see here that haven't been rereleased are Biker Mice From Mars, ActRaiser and Turtles In Time
Was just playing dk country yesterday!! Love it truly one of the greats
me too, its my brothers girlfriend's favorite game, even my nephew likes it
Blake Daniels DK Country 2 is even better!!
The first game i was introduced to was dkc1. I'm so grateful i got to experience that moment in contrast to what kids experience as their first game today.

Contra 3
Castlevania 4
F-Zero
FF2
Final Fight
Killer Instinct
Mega Man X
Star Fox
Super R-Type
Gradius 3
Doom
Mother 2?
Or earthbond
My favorite was Killer Instinct. Best fighter on the system.
I'm surprised no super Castlevania or super Mario rpg
Mario rpg was good
It was but it's not super note worthy since they mentioned all stars and Mario bros.
Mega Man X
I never really cared for "Super Mario RPG", mainly because I didn't find it to be as fun or enjoyable as "Paper Mario" on the Nintendo 64 or "Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga" on the Game Boy Advance. :P
Hey Metal Jesus guy! I am not a gamer at all. However, i am watching all of your videos and i am.enjoying them so much. Your passion and happiness is really contagious.
I was more of a Sega guy growing up. So this video is REALLY HELPFUL! METAL JESUS AND THE IMMORTAL JOHN HANCOCK RULE!!!!
PC gamers when they talk about Super Mario World: "Is that the one with the overworld map?"
Jeeeeesus, say it ain't so!
lol
I was shocked too. I owned SNES when it came out so I was like "How can Metal Jesus not have played this game to death!?" It was packaged with the console and probably the best Mario game out there overall.
(other than the ones you guys mentioned)
- Pocky and Rocky
- Battletoads: in battlemaniacs
- Killer Instinct
- Zombies ate my neighbors
- Tiny Toon adventures: Buster busts loose
Etc.
Super Castlevania 4, Mega Man X, Tecmo Super Bowl, King of Dragons.
My 1st game ever to own and play over again has a kid even to this day. I recently bought Tecmo Super Bowl II Special Edition and got a great deal not knowing it's actually the most expensive of the 3 game series 😉👌🏽
Have Tecmo Super Bowl in the box. It's my favorite boxed game :)
Biker Mice from mars was awesome it was a cartoon and was a big hit back then....That game was heaps underated IMO me and my friends played it for months
I would have cried if Turtles in Time wasnt recommended :) haha Another INCREDIBLE Under the radar game would be Congo's Caper, its such a good game!!
Super Castlevania 4, Yoshi's Island, Star Fox, Earthbound, Super Mario Kart, Batman Returns, Megaman X, Mortal Kombat 2 and many many more. Just goes to show you how awesome the SNES library is!
I love that Super Metroid was the thumbnail since I just got a copy and played for the very first time! I"m addicted to metroid now (picked up the amigos and the new 3ds title shortly after.)

Konami was the king developer on the SNES. Wtf happened?
They did an awesome job with the Batman Returns game (1992). It was a lot like a Final Fight game.
They found gambling machines
They switched to the PS1 to develop classics like Silent Hill when Nintendo both refused to move away from cartridges and pissed many of the Japanese developers off (just like Square!).
I completely agree with FF3. My first rpg game ever played, still my favorite and still in my collection, with manual and game guide. Absolutely love it. Great video, guys. 😎
WWF Royal Rumble and RAW
I went with the Genesis for this gen of consoles but I have to say I always loved playing many of the games on the console at friends houses.
Super Punch Out!!!! Gabby Jay has a glass jaw!
