Crysal Guardian is a mini boss it doesn't even have its own theme also, they are both optional and only have like 2 attacks (besides just jumping).

Cloth actually does attack the traitor lord and minions and does damage, even if its only 1 damage you can watch it register
yeah, iirc skurry did a challenge where they were only allowed to damage the traitor lord via cloth

Actually the word beast in Hollowknight does not only apply to Spiders. From its usage across the game it is used to refer to any bug that is non humanoid IE a bug with more than two arms and legs or other non bug humanoid features like wings or just being not a bug at all like the mushrooms.
Where was it used o refer to non deepnest bugs?

Shall I continue to find more examples or is my point and the evidence clear? The word beast seems to also refer to anything that is not a humanoid bug or bug at all like spiders and mushrooms

9:51 there is a possibility we will get multiple paths/ endings like in hollow knight, for example the nailsmith, THK, zote. we can either end their lifes or not
for major character deaths... well, technically the knight doesnt survive in its original form, so im sure TC aint scared to get rid of lace in an important and emotional moment. maybe she will be the reason we even complete the game, maybe she will save hornet dying in the process. like you know, more extreme king's brand encounter

Crazy Theory: what if they specifically need Hornet because they know she's half sister to the shade lord? Team Cherry said they don't believe in true endings, and would try to incorporate as many as possible into Silksong's lore and it just so happens the delicate flower ending does just that; its every ending combined EXCEPT the Shade Lord is TELEPORTED AWAY... Where? To Pharloom, of course. Maybe they've been capturing weavers to try to find the one who can stop Little Ghost. Maybe Lace and her group of Wanderers actually is allied with the Shade Lord; her palette is similar to things in the White Palace if you notice. Maybe they don't want Hornet taming the Shade Lord and instead want it to rule over Pharloom. Making a SHADE LORD BOSS WOULD BE FREAKING AWESOME TOO- and I wouldn't put it past the king to try and exploit the Shade Lord as well. But hey, that's just a theory. A Skong Theory.

My theory: they capture spiders because they can produce silk (maybe that’s another reason the weavers left in hollo knight)

there is a way to skip ever having cloth help you fight traitor lord just by never saving her when getting the pale ore in the ancient bason. so unless you go out of your way to save her it will be a one-on-one boss fight. (despite the fact her club does 15 damage per hit to traitor lord and she can distract him) she still is pretty much useless considering your shade soul spell does double the damage and can be used 3 times in a row for effectively 6 times the damage without any charm buffs.

what about Myla and cloth and the Nail smith and ZOTE! Are these not major characters? Zote has his own boss fight, Cloth helps with a boss fight, the Nail smith upgrades the nail and its extremely difficult to progress without him, and Myla is Myla!

I think Lace is a part of the same group that Jiji and Jinn from the original game are a part of, together with Sharpe and the other steel bugs we see in the first trailer. Their masters likely don't want the lollipop people to become too strong thanks to Hornet's silk

I have heard of some people speculate that Lace will be the protagonist of the third hollow knight game, since she mirrors so much of hornet, who became the protagonist of silksong.

Yeah but that’s just a gimmick. 1 damage can’t be considered as a co-op fight. Also in the trailer near the end, the NPC seems to be drawing Agro away from hornet, which we haven’t seen done in hollow knight

You could maybe consider the Uumuu fight as an "NPC coop" since Quirrel is kinda fighting alongside with you (even it's still just part of Uumuu's fighting sequence).
But I guess it's still much more "NPC coop" than Cloth running just into the Traitor lord to hget killed xD
True, but that’s just a scripted animation. After a certain number of attacks the boss is vulnerable to damage. Quirrel doing it is just aesthetics
