The Crankworx Innsbruck Slopestyle is the newest event in the quest for the Triple Crown of Slopestyle. This showcase of aerial acrobatics brings the freestyle element of gravity mountain biking in every Crankworx festival to the world’s epicentre of freestyle sport - Innsbruck, Austria. This is a place known for big big air and big style, whether on snowboard, skis or dangling from a climbing rope. The 14 best slopestyle mountain bikers in the world will be bringing their A-game to Austria as they soar above the crowds and show the world what they’ve got.

@aola wili true, but I feel like a 68 for a semi-rookie run that has those two tricks in it is still way to low. I get that emil’s Run was way better but I think David’s score was just too low

since joyride 2019 crankworks hasnt been as exiting to watch, I feel like there isnt a rivalry anymore and its more of just a show, but every event before that has been a banger
totally agree! The 2 new events this summer should be refreshing and add much needed new venues.
I still love it. Look at Nicholi and Emil. If Nicholi had done a Triple Whip and squeezed in a Nohand in the Twister he might have won.

Wait for cwx in British Columbia. If Nicholi gets his "safety" run, he will pack out even more astonishing tricks and might beat Emil
Emil did some sort of downside whip in almost every jump
I would've liked to see something like a double backflip or 720 to finish it off. Very technical but just not as fun to watch sometimes
for me tricks like Twister no hander from Godzie looks more epic compared to Emil combos, but those combos get more points, judging sux in slopestyle IMHO
@@gabareaper So you're saying judging sucks because the hardest tricks get scored highest? And the reason Emil won wasn't because downwhips are scored higher than NIcholis tricks, it's simply that Emil is better. Emil did 3 double downwhip on the cannon whereas Rogatkin did 3 single topside whip. And Nicholi did a double whip instead of the planned triple whip on the second hip. He also did a fronti into the whaletail when he was fully capable of a fronti tuck. If Rogatkin would have went all out like Emil did, he could have won, it wasn't the judges fault.
I guess his fav move is a Downwhip so he does it every jump, just in another combo
@@senseijulion I think he wanted to nail a run in Innsbruck with this many downwhips. I think it's incredible that you can combo- tricks in such a way, one run based-ish around the same trick. It's absolutely amazing what he does.

I’m not familiar with the judgement system, but in my opinion the run of Rogatkin was the best! Change my mind
Rogatkin's run might have a higher cool factor which usually what the audience prefer while Emil's run was more impressive which is what the judges like to see. Personally I liked Emil's run better.

Very excited for the 2 new events for a triple crown!!!! Much needed new venues, why not add more, having only a few venues leaves them vulnerable like the last year and this year.

I was hoping to see the first tiebreaker. I Didn't see any difference Between Emil a Nicholi. Both perfect. I thought the reverse cash roll at the last jump was a stellar ending.
I'm just gonna say it I like Nicholai's moves a lot better. Emil is like a tech ledge skater vs. Nicolai's park ripper. No one else is doing 1080s in contests, opposite cash rolls are super rare. Emil was great, and he played to the judging criteria, but I just prefer the big moves, big flips and big rotations to all the gesticulating and trying to fit a dozen tiny moves into one jump
@@PlaySA I didn't want to say it . There seemed a national advantage, After the slope and style when Both Americans were in the same bracket. No Canadian Riders And Two US riders that seemed Like Fill-ins. I don't know who judges but There were some Inconsistencies. Emil is The best but when I look at both runs Nicholi thrilled me at the end . 2 points was way too much difference.
@@joebyrneMensrights Nicholi had me outta my seat cheering! every event is ruined by the judges, the riders send it big and I love watching them but the judging is really sapping the fun. They need to fire all the judges, they are trying to position different riders based on nonsensical criteria, they should be simply judged on their tricks, not if they want Emil to win a triple crown.
@@masaharumorimoto4761 I went back and scored it . Nichols twister was the difference. Emil had two flat landings to one for Nichols. The rev cash roll was thrilling . It was a 98.50 at the least . Nichols speed and riding was smoother.he was in the flow.too bad the judges didn't notice that . Could have been a perfect score.
@@herrgroda100 What I see is is 6 360 to a 1080 and 3 720s and a 360 the degree of difficulty was so much higher in Rogakins run, Plus the pressure was on to aww the Crowd And he did with perfect execution plus only one Flat landing. The difference in points was A no call. This can be argued to the end of time but I thought a tie-breaker run would have Enhanced the sport. Purely my opinion same as the Judging.

Feeling like judging should be improved. Rogatkin run had everything. Thomas Genon didn't do so much and quite a few runs deserved better. Overall level is rising which is great

Too dangerous I think... besides there is such a limited number of tricks in mountain biking compared to something like skateboarding or snowboarding that it doesn't really work as well. You're either trying to do a 1080, double backflip variation, or fit in like 4 tailwhips there isn't enough choice. Which is why run format works pretty well
