Surprised by the low quality of filming on this one. Weird angle that missed the riders completely on the 1st jump and worse drone footage that is so dark and wide angle you really can’t see what the riders are doing.

I also thought the quality was poor. Jump 2 was a little strange. It almost seemed like his camera stand limited the range of his shot. The drone seemed like it would be more than a little distracting. Oh well. Hopefully next year will be better. I am ready to see things return to normal.
How is Emil's first run a 94? no freaking way. Tomas' run had just as big of tricks and was way cleaner. Seems like they really kinda want Emil to be the next big thing
Yeah Thomas run was way smoother but cash roll is nothing compared to oppo 3 Whip to Bar or Frontflip bar tuck Nohand. Also 360 windshield wiper is huge

i agree emil is so good but his landings were sloppy thomas was super clean and perfection. and isted and max kind of got screwed but they favor riders for sure. you see that clearly in rampage as kyle strait always has high score and same old run every year and he doesn't have much style anymore but still gets massive score. this is a great sport what would be a great addition is a insider on judging and walkthrough of there process. i mean we kind of get one but i am talking after the fact and they can go back and show why so and so got 20 more points than a clean run. just my opinion. i ride slopestyle as well but i will never get any money for it. lmfao i can tailwhip thats my best trick LMFAO

Its just amazing how good Emil is 💎👏🏻🏆 Hes style is soooo effortless and clean. Sad the wind was bad because i think Max can do even better run than hes first.
I know Max was hinting at a new trick combo on his CZcams channel. I had a feeling he was gonna throw it on the 2nd run if the weather didn't get in the way.

@@uonadtehrrocks I think it's the hub, it accelerates with Emil, doesn't correspond at all to the drone's movement. Stabilizing in the wind doesn't sound like that afaik either. It's still a problem, the editor mixed the gopro recording way too loud, and should have atleast EQd the sound

one thing i noticed and have experienced first hand. some of these guys need to get a fully like emil. that rear shock lets you be a little sloppy on the landing but still look good. i think if he was on a hard tail some of those hard landings would whip someone off. emil is a machine tho either way. i think other riders should take the extra rear shock into consideration. i have rode both and i am currently building a bike trek ticket fully. well still waiting on the frame. night and day on the landing. just my opinion.

Since i own one i had a question. Are those hardtail bikes?
Some of them are, technically. They are dirt jumper bikes meant for smooth jumps. They usually only are hardtails and don't have much travel so the suspension doesn't soak up the jump. But some of these guys are using full suspension dirt jumpers due to the extreme size of the jump for a softer landing.
