Considering your concerns about Pam affecting pollination and the timing, I held the sprayer close to the top of the silt and only sprayed maybe a half inch circle of the silt and not touching the rest of the silt with oil. We did not find a single worm inside the shuck from about 150 ears of corn. Some ears were not filled out all the way to the end but they were very close. Any thoughts? Thanks.
@@bridgettewood1713 I planted some late corn and it had a few worms. My early corn did not. I still think the pam helped but it did not solve the problem. I have seen worms in every ear before I began spraying Pam. I wish you well.
Great video. I suspect spray olive oil will work as well as canola oil. Is that true? We almost always have it in the kitchen. Will spray canola or olive oil affect pollination? Thanks.
Hi +Shelly0356, great question! Only one application should do the trick since the suggested oil deposition is about 1 milliliter! Thanks for watching!
thank you. Very helpful
Excellent, only vid I can find that covers using oils for earworm control.
+engrtobe We're glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for watching!

Olive oils and other coals pressed oils are thicker. I’d recommend regular olive oil vs Extra Virgin as EV is thicker.
@@ChefClary60 Thanks.
