Absolutely love these, Maggie! SO much fun to make! The day before my retreat, I had all my stuff packed, but I dug around for some glue and ended up mass making six of these. 😂. Greetings Gayle and friends! I had no clue there was Timmy fabric. However, I think I will give this a try just with some larger ephemera. Yesterday in my craft room, I was creating pockets. When I started decorating, I got to this “needs a little something” stage and I thought, WWGD (what would Gayle do)! And viola, a little label or a butterfly or a word or a number would always do the trick! You are such an inspiration. I was one of the crafters that had to create “exactly” what the example was. I did not have the confidence to trust my own eye and I’d give up. Since joining you in your craftroom, I have tips and tools that are allowing me to find joy in creating using what inspires me. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts, ideas and talents. I might even have the courage to start an Etsy shop in the near future! Have an awesome week my friends. Per my personal meteorologist (my grand daughter), Kansas is going to have some kooky weather, 70’s to start the week, then back to the 40’s! Sending wishes for good weather where ever you are!

You had me riveted when you said fabric! These are delightful and I can’t wait to make some. Record highs were set all over Nebraska today. But alas many wildfires also have broken out today. No loss of life but houses have been lost and several towns evacuated. With the high winds and dry conditions the fires are moving quickly. Hopefully we can get some moisture in the next few days to help put out the fires. Have a blessed day!

Thanks Gayle, I love both of these ideas and think your idea of using the page inside of the page protector is a stroke of genius. It really helps make a nice design that fits the page. I really like both of the fabrics which I already have. I have made quite a few base cards this week and I’m going to use this idea to embellish my 5x7 cards. Have a great migraine free day. I really like how fun fabric can be when creating pockets and journal covers and toppers. I think we all have tendency to forget what we have to work with sometimes and then frustration can set in.

You know what you need… haha (I know nothing!) Timmy has new sanding things that go on the ink dobbers. It would fray up the edges of this fabric fantastically! I am in love with them. If you put washi tape on paper and sand the edges a little bit. It kinda blends into the paper like magic and looks so cool! (AMAZON has a cheaper, not Timmy brand too. I’ll send you the link!)

I love the one with the lady! I don't have Timmy fabric but i have some fabric "cut outs" I was going to use with slow stitching and I think I will try some of them in this collage technique. Some bits of your fabric would be cool in slow stitching as well.

Sorry about that. I’m American living in Korea so I don’t have good craft stores to buy from. I so miss HL/Michael’s. And if an Etsy or other on line vendors will ship to me the postage is outrageous. With Temu’s free shipping, I can satisfy my craft supply cravings. Taperlogy is also good with free shipping, but their prices are much higher.
Love these, Maggie does some really awesome stuff. I'll have to buy some portraits. I use pliers to get those stubborn lids off.

I don’t usually save my packaging because I’m a bad crafter that way. But, the other day, I just went crazy at Joann’s so now I have a bunch of Tim Holtz packaging in my trashcan in my craft room that I’m gonna have to dig out. I took everything out of the packaging and separated it by size and put it in baggies, and I put all the flowers with my flowers and all the butterflies with my butterflies, labels with labels, tickets with tickets, etc. I love buying stuff at Joann’s because they’ll let you use every coupon on your phone, the 40%, the 50%, the $10 off $50 or more, she used them all. 😁

I really really like the way you used the page protector in both of your videos. I don’t have any page protectors, but I have a stack of those large cello bags and also some old transparencies. I also have some transparent unexposed x ray film. It is transparent blue. Scraps from before I retired ( not radioactive…..lol). So. I may see if some or one of those things would work as well.
