Hi Gluers!! Here are the number stamps that I used in this video. Keep in mind it came all as one big stamp, however, I cut the numbers apart to make little individual numbers. Hope that makes sense! Here is the link to the stamp set: amzn.to/3QTEMSR
Thank you, Nicole!
Very beautiful sweet cute adorable gorgeous master board I 💖 it
I have yet to make a master board. But after watching your video I have some very fun and creative ideas. You are awesome !
Thank you so much Cheryl 😊 You will have so much fun! There is no wrong way to make one, so just have fun and the best part is seeing what your pieces look like after cutting them up!
@@relaxcutglue that is so true. I have made a glue book journal from a thrift child’s coloring book. So much fun. Thank you for all the inspiration. I just enjoy watching your videos so much. Stay well
I just discovered making master boards and absolutely LOVE IT!! I really like overlapping and the odd edges of everything!!
Aren’t they so addicting?!! I have so much fun making them, I’m glad you are too!
This is my first time watching you so enjoyed it I also like to colour and my granddaughter likes it to and she now colors with her daughter my great granddaughter
Love your collage! It also helps to turn your master board a quarter turn every once in a while so you can get a different view (from Ceri the Crafter on CZcams).
Hi Leanne! I didn't turn mine because I didn't want upside down pieces :)
Fun
Fun! Now I want to see you cut it up...
This turned out so beautiful. I am inspired to do this on canvas to create a collage wall art. I know it is not a master board but the idea is the same and I love it! thank you so much!
I absolutely love coloring along with relaxing music. Great therapy. A lot of time I cut up what I've colored and make masterboards out of them. Then I either cut them up or copy them and send them as happy mail. Love your channel!
I do this too, Kim!
@@Stargazer_Laurie and here I thought I was being unique. 😂
@@kimbreazeale 🤣 just that great minds think alike!
@@Stargazer_Laurie separated at birth😂
@@Stargazer_Laurie I'm coloring right now!
I like square edges.
I love this so much! I like to use master boards to do postcards & bookmarks & just about anything. When I cut up my master board I flip it over so that I cut from the back side and then it is a real surprise to see the results when I flip it over. Sending lots of hugs. **Cheryl**
Never made a master board. Trying to get pumped up to make one.
They are SOOOOO fun to make! You can make them several different ways as well. Once you get going they become very addicting to make! Have fun!
💖
Your master board looks so much more professional than mine. I hope you do another video of what it looks like all chopped up. I didn't even know it was a thing to not wash your stamps! I'm going to get mine out. Also just wondering if you have a good way to store cling stamps please? 🌷
Hey Nicole, I love to watch you collage! I’m getting better at making master-boards, and it is very relaxing. I like both methods; sometimes i cut squares, and sometimes i tear; and i’ve also cut them up from the front, and sometimes i like the element of surprise and turn it over and cut!! You give great ideas, i never thought of using stamps, and labels!! Thanx!
I dont clean my stamps either, I am bad at cleaning my stencils as well. They look loved, lol.
I have the same tickets that you were glueing down, I had no clue they were stickers!!!!
Oh my goodness I'm so glad I said something!! Also...I'm glad I'm not the only one that didn't realize they were stickers lol!
Did you make the book that you had all your little bits of stickers and papers in? Do you have a tutorial on how you did it on your channel?
Great master board, I did one tonight, just the first layer will do more tomorrow.
I honestly haven’t ever made one of those but I was watching gayle do a couple and wondered if I should do one or some.. so I might have to try it out and see.. yes yes yes I love to color too and I love to watch you color lol.. I know it’s weird to watch someone color but I do.. I don’t clean my either lol
Wow I had no idea you are from Portland 👍😲 so am I , that's so cool. Well I moved but I was born and raised in the N.E. Portland went to Holy Redeemer Catholic school. 💖 Yay 👍 can't wait to mail you something 😀
Hi Brandon!! I grew up in NE Portland too! Small world❤️
Hey Nicole. I'm digging into your videos hehe. So I think this is a neat idea! I want to try and start my first master board and maybe turn it into ATC cards. 😁😁
Go for it! It's soooooo much fun!!!!! Cutting up the masterboard is my favorite part! It's so fun and satisfying!
Love it
I love this! Would you share the number stamps that you used?
HI Kelly! I'd love to share the number stamps with you! Keep in mind though, the numbers come all in one big stamp. I decided to cut them apart to make them individual groups of numbers. Here is the link:amzn.to/3QTEMSR
Never thought to stamp on a master board. Will do that on my next one!❤❤❤❤
Very beautiful gorgeous Masterboard I ♥️ it u do amazing excellent awesome job I admire that in u very much 🥰🤗💖👍💐
those master boards are so much fun and so relaxing and when you have lost your mojo you can do them and just start gluing and before you know it you have something beautiful I made one yesterday at my stamp group my friend and I are going to teach a class making collaged postcards. We were going to do large pieces but decided to do postcards so everyone could make one and not be to intimanated by a large piece
Collage turned out beautiful. Thanks for sharing with us! Happy birthday Sherman! 🎂
Nicole, Such a stunning master board. They are always fun to make and fun to watch others make them as well. Did you make that Reader's Digest ephemera book, or is there someone who sells them? I love it! Thanks for fun video!
Esther
Thank you so much for your kind words Esther!! Masterboards are so fun, honestly one of my favorite things to craft! I did make that ephemera book! It’s so functional and a great no sew project. Here is my video on it: czcams.com/video/LKF9OG2CETs/video.html
@@relaxcutglue Thanks!
Your master board looks so pretty, the colors , stamps and stickers look great together. I have never made one truthfully I don't know if I could cut that up. Great job. Love your videos
My favourite thing to do with master boards is making postcards! Love the video & channel!
Fun project. I will have to do one with all my little ephemera pads. After watching your ATC masterboard I found some vintage lady washi stickers on Shein. Hurry up Mr Postman! TFS ❤ ❤
You have an amazing sense of colour harmony and balance. I love this!
Wow! Thank you so much!❤️
Looks so amazing and fun
Love watching coloring. Time lapse would be just fine with a voice over. I know you've had a rough summer. Yet be you've maintained your sense of humor and still expressed your grief. (Edit) There's nothing better than a rescue pet. So glad you have your Dad's friend!
I really enjoy your shows. I love what you do with your glue books. TFS
I like even edges and rough edges. Depends on what my mood is. ;) Did you check out the Harry Potter sticker book? I wish I could send a picture.
try a lightweight cotton blouse and pant combo you know like a pantsuit. have fun you two
Can you tell me what tucks, belly bands are please? And where did you get your little scraper tool to flatten your paper pieces !? Thank you. I love watching you😊 Your a lot of fun!
Yep I've just got some bits out to do a masterboard now 😂😂👍🏻❤️
❤TFS!
I use my master boards for tags and journal cards.
You are right about the "ugly stage" of any art. Stick with it.
Congrats on keeping Zena.
I am impressed with the Dollar Tree Stamps, shocked even!
They give a nice clear impression and definitely worth that extra 25c.
I've never made one of these but I really enjoy watching others make them. I know it's weird but relaxing for me. I've seen others turn them over and cut sight unseen, that looks fun, the element of surprise!! I too love that you decided to keep the dog!! I have 2 chihuahua brothers, Bert and Ernie, 3 yrs old. I rescued them. Love them to death, my little couch potatoes!! TFS Hugs from really HOT California!! * L
Fun masterboard!! 🦋🌹 Usually straight cut edges are my preference, & agree that, that first cut can be rough going! My go-to makes with a masterboard are usually tags & journaling cards. I, too, often keep new things(whether craft or other things) for a little bit before using...thought I was the only one! Oooh a hummingbird - YAY!! 😃🐦 Sending big HUGS to you!!! 🤗🤗🤗
I’m still torn about what I want to cut into…I could have 14 bookmarks, 12 little square cards for a book, ATC’s, or all the above! Decisions decisions Hahahhaa!
I've only done a couple of masterboards and they were so fun. One of them was to make postcards and the other was for ATC's.
Hi Nicole! I love your masterboards! And yes, you always inspire me to create and work in my Daily Creative Journal! I love to cut up my masterboards and make journal cards out of them, but I usually write little notes for my best friend on them and decorate them with something she likes! ☺️☺️
Awwwww I love your relationship with your bestie!
@@relaxcutglue Thank you so much, Nicole! We've been best friends for 23 years now! We met in 4th grade! 😊🤩 We've gone through so much together!
@@Duh_Teach Awwww!! I met my bestie in 3rd grade so I totally understand that bond!! ❤️
Love your MB! I am a RIPPER! Love me the torn edges! But the squared off ones look really cool, just like a quilt! I also love using book pages and I've started painting my book pages with water color splashes to give some interest to my work. It's fun! I'm in the process of purging. Got way too much paper stuff and can't use it all. I've been making Fodder in Fodder School and trading in groups, so there's a backlog of stuff I started out with a year ago I need to move on from. I love coloring too! I'm a slow colorer, also. I still like my trusty Crayola crayons, but I will use other things, too. Can't wait to see what you decide to do with this Master Board!❤️
Ripping paper is so satisfying! I love to color with crayons too. This sounds weird but I love the way they smell, it’s just a nostalgic smell❤️ I usually color with markers these days because it’s easier on my hands. Good for you for purging and swapping with groups. Sounds fun too!
Beautiful
Great master board thanks for sharing
You have inspired me to try cutting them into small square ⬜ also really like your cutting board .. 🦋🦋 again thank you for sharing your art .
Qué bonito!
This is so awesome… you put it together kind of on the fly and it turned out beautiful… it’s perfect for ATC’s but I’d probably not cut it up for quite a long time just so I could look sit and look at it….♥️ hangin out and listening to your tutorials, you always make me smile…thank you for your inspiration!!!!!
Thank you so much Liz!
@@relaxcutglue you are so welcome 🤗
If you float those postage stamps in a tray of cold water overnight, by morning the stamps will have come off the backing papers they were stuck to. I used to do this for my dad who was a stamp collector. Sometimes we would use the bathtub to do hundreds at a time! Once they have separated just carefully lift the stamps onto paper towels to dry. No more torn stamps!!
Fabulous tip!! Thank you!
I love your little ephemera book. Where did you get it?
I wanted to see the tags and journal cards for t om the board. Will you be sharing them in another video?
Hi Pamela! Yes, I will show them cut up as well. I would want to see them too, so I will for sure show you all❤️
I've never made a master boards
You're not alone. I's just collage. Think I'll start smaller.
Also don't clean stamps, also don't care! I have made a few masterboards, for tags. I'm going to make one for ATC's soon. I want to be ready for a swap! I'm sure Zoe is glad to live with you guys. Tfs!
I usually rip and collage my gel prints for a masterboard then cut up for tags and journaling cards. I cut the original.
love it looks beautiful may i ask what the name of that thing is you use to scrap the pictures down
Too busy for my taste, but fun to watch you anyway!
Fair enough!
Hello first time viewer love your collage. Think I missed or you didnt say what you are collaging on, paper wise? New subscriber thank you
Hi Brooke! Welcome! I am Collaging on an 11x14 piece of posterboard from The Dollar Tree. They sell them in a pack, and I find they are a great size for a Masterboard! I can get 15 Artist Trading Cards out of one Masterboard of this size.
You had a wonderful tip using Amazon stamps (numbers you cut apart) and labels from Walmart
I don't remember which video it was do you have a clue?
Watching your wonderful video now ... like crafting with a friend 🙂
Hi, I found you by Accident . very new to JJ. I have a million Questions. One is how do you make a book to store your little bit and stamps and so on. TIA
I sympathize with you. I have fibromyalgia. Do storms make you ache more? I cant function during a low-pressure system. I live on gabapentin
When using poster board, do you get any warping. I have been using card stock. I'm always putting things under heavy books.🖌🎨 ps: I cut postcards out of my masterboards.💖
Hi Jean! I usually use card stock as well. My poster board did not warp at all. I glued on the shiny side. I really love the size of those smaller sheets too (11x14).
Do you have a link or did you make, of course you probably made the little book you keep your ephemeral in. Might there be a video with instructions for it?
Hi Bridget! Are you referring to the ephemera book that I made out of a vintage Readers Digest Book?czcams.com/video/LKF9OG2CETs/video.html
Your second epherma book thing, where did you get that? Or did you make it? I love the little pockets in the paper
I made it out of a Vintage Readers Digest Book. I have a video on it: czcams.com/video/LKF9OG2CETs/video.htmlsi=kU3JV0lK7wB3Z3-h
@@relaxcutglue thank you so much!!
Thank you for this video. I made my first master board last night and I am hooked. I don’t know what took me so long. Probably the fact I think everything has to be perfect and you gave permission to make changes … no wrong way! I couldn’t stop adding things! 🥰
THIS MAKES ME SO HAPPY!!! WHoooo Hooooo!! Thank you so much for sharing that with me Karen! I'm so glad you're having fun making masterboards. They are so great because you can use any and all mediums on it and really make them your own, as well as all different styles. Have fun!
Where do you get your acrylic square that you put the stamps on? And do they just cling to,it?
amzn.to/42CTfZ8 Hi Joy! Here is a link to the acrylic stamp blocks. I just get mine on Amazon. The stamps just stick to the block on their own, no need for any adhesive or anything. And since they are clear you can see exactly where you are putting the stamp!
Did you create the ephemera book from a reader's digest book?
Hi Autumn!! Yes I did! I bought some clear pocket stickers that work so good!
Nicole, what goes on the back of the ATC’s?
Hi Sandra! It’s up to you, you don’t have to add anything if you don’t want to. Usually people add the date, your name, email (if you want) and some add the numbers of a set. Example if I made 6 ATC’s.. 1/6, 2/6, 3/6. I don’t trade mine as much anymore so I just add a date. I hope that helps!
0:57 Hmm. Well, I was told that if you use anyone else's design materials, pictures, photographs (unless copyright free or royalty free images of anything at all) - scanning them and using them on your journals etc. was copyright infringement....????? In other words, you can cut and paste anything at all, and include them in your art books or journals, but as soon as you scan them or photocopy them and use them, you could be infringing copyright. Even for your own personal use. I'm assuming of course that the materials you're using are "free to use" by the original designers, but when I first thought about making a master board, I didn't even think about how scanning/photocopying my collage could contravene laws.
I have no idea what a master board is
A big collage paper you later cut up into smaller collages. You can cut it up into postcards, bookmarks, artist trading cards, tags, coasters, whatever.
