As you were gluing the pieces for the edge pages, I kept thinking they’d make nice tuck spots: the bottom could be glued on like a pocket and the top two like horizontal belly bands. You know me: I like to keep my options open. 😉 I hope you have a delightful day. I’m planning to have a grateful day. Love&hugs ❤
Yes, I like the idea of the tabs being pockets. You could make the top and bottom into pockets on the front and the middle on the back. That way you don’t lose the page strengthening the tabs provide. Love the dangles! I do think a tall flower along the inside edge would be nice and wouldn’t take up too much space.
Thank you for sharing this, always enjoy your videos and ideas. I just wanted to mention that my twin sons are in Butte, Montana this weekend for a bowling tournament. One of my sons told me of The Lady of the Rockies, so interesting and beautiful and sent me some pictures . He also said that the scenery is beautiful. They drove 10 hours from Edmonton, Alberta yesterday. Calgary, Alberta through a snow storm but when they crossed the border into Montana, he said the roads were dry and the drive was great!

These types of writing edge spots would be awesome as flip outs with dangles, too. I can definitely see a middle belly band in the mix as well. The possibilities are endless.

A friend is redoing the countertop in her kitchen and her puppy was also very busy and noisy as he supervised the installation. The puppy slept very soundly that night.
Hi Gayle! This Saturday is my birthday #82 🤭. Had dinner with my siblings & my son. So it was a good birthday💕. Never watched Treasure Book. I’ll check her out. This is another new idea for our journals.

Awww, so sorry about having to cover the spine of your book Gayle. If you could've heard me and it wasn’t after the fact, I would’ve suggested temporarily removing the spine and adding a bit of cloth to the spine area to attach the front and back covers to, then gluing the spine to the cloth. Either way, it turned out beautiful!!! ❤

Great idea ! I just bought two old books at the Goodwill so I’m going to give this a try :) tfs, Jennifer
I really like the tab edges. They will add instant interest to a journal. On a future book where you want to save the spine, you could cut it all the way off, make repairs using sturdy cardboard as the spine, then glue the pretty spine to the outside. I don’t know if the edges would peel over time, but it might work. Have a lovely day. Hope you have daffodils, soon.

Those three writing spaces one the first piece you did could be pockets too, each with a journal card, so it is double the writing spaces.
