You are allowed to knock only if your deadwood values 10 or lower. When you knock, you win the round and you score the value of your opponent's deadwood minus the value of your own deadwood. When you go gin, you score the value of your opponent's deadwood plus get either 20 or 25 bonus points (depending on which version). When you knock but your opponent has less deadwood than you, then you have been UNDERCUT! In this case, you lose as the knocker, and your opponent scores the value of your deadwood minus the value of his own deadwood plus gets 10 or 25 bonus points (depending on version).
I won 4 games in a row against Bill...not hands obviously...but games. I did win the majority of the hands though. I think you guys just need to play gin rummy more often. LOL

i dont understand the difference between knock and gin? in the gin u had a 5 pointer left and in the knock you had 2x2 ??
