0:26 That's the NoLimits 2 wooden coaster brake sound ! I finally found it IRL !
Most CCIs have friction brakes that give that sound when released, this is probably the best example of a coaster that does it though.
RIP helix
Rip
Rip
Rip
RIP 😭
What the.. Where the Heck is the badass Helix?!? Well from now on we can call the Boss by it's new name The Loss! The Helix was the killerfeature of this ride! It felt so amazing to fly through that Helix.
SpaceGladiator Yeah I’m bummed too. That was a great ending to the ride.
It felt like death, but that's like the one redeeming quality of this ride. The thing that makes this ride fun is the pain.
I like this ride, I really do, but come on when you have possibly the last coaster in the world that could dethrone rides like Steel Vengeance, Lightning Rod, and Fury 335 as an RMC, I say save up and go for it. It would be amazing if Alan did it right.
Maybe this coaster needs to just have a retrack before anyone can consider getting this coaster RMC'd.
@@JamesTaylorMain Honestly, this ride doesn't have a lot going for it. It has speed, but really no airtime. There are a couple moments of notable g-force, but the helix is gone now and it was one of them. It has a lot of lateral force, though.
Six Flags doesn't see much in this park. Not enough to make the investment. It's sad because the founder had this park in his original vision, and it's the only one of the original three parks that has only been owned by Six Flags alone. Maybe that's the problem lol.
They need to RMC this really bad. It's gotten shakier and shakier but has awesome scenary. Its my home park and we need a stand-out coaster
Well then it’s actually ruining the fun for the riders that love it, like me.
Just imagine an rmc boss
Call it The Executive or something xD
or even better boss' revenge or something
It would be awful and take away the out control wooden feel and intense laterals and comfortable trains. Gravity Group pre cut track is the way to go.
This is my fav coaster!
I know 1 other person who agrees with you but I'm quite the opposite, I hate how tame this ride is and it's only a little intense because it straight up bounces up and down with how rough the tracks are. Some people like the roughness but I'd rather get more airtime than the train itself
Good to know that 10 years later, this thing is still insanely rough.
Why did they add stronger brakes to the midpoint section, I don’t like how it slows you down that much
Savage OG they took the second Helix out, so they slowed it down.
They had to the speed it had after the mcbr was destroying the ride
The only punishment worse than death is riding this in the back row
never rode it with the helix, first time in Chicago and St. Louis last week and I rode it then...man is this a spine/neck breaker, I haven't been rattled around so much on a wooden coaster so much in my life heard Ninja is worse but it was closed when I went, both Texas parks don't have anything as rough as this and I did enjoy it but my back was stiff for the next few days, neck was only stiff because on the second drop my head went back and having my head at a 90 degree angle while positive Gs are being put on it probably isn't good, that was my bad though
This should be the next coaster to get the Rocky Mountain Construction renovation.
and timber wolf at worlds of fun
@@timetravelerenthusiast4598 Can't say I agree with that. They just had that coaster refurbished by GCI and now it's running better than ever.
Mitchell Ries i Just think wof needs another stand out attraction cuz we haven’t gotten a coaster in 11 years
No
You guys should really update this pov. The ride is consistently running much faster and doesn't trim as hard anymore. It's very obvious the park has put in alot of work to this ride the last two years! It was running amazing on Sunday Out of Control and extremely intense lots of great airtime. Best coaster in Missouri by far!
It's been 4 years since this video was released. Please RMC this!
this is my fav roller coaster'
Why did they take out the helix?
Indigo Hayez I know this comment is pretty old at this point, but it was removed because it was causing structural damage to the ride itself.
Make a new coaster
If you ride The Boss enough times your body naturally counteracts the roughness. Like me.
This is an amazing coaster. Never rmc it. Gravity Group pre cut track is the only awnser
Hell to the yes! Not every wooden coaster needs to be RMC'd.
We hear the heart beating ahahaha
I rode this version!
Now... RMC it
prime RMC candidate, take notes SFSL!
It's mostly out of their control. The franchise calls the shots. It would be cool, though.
I can't believe he didn't get caught with the camera
JoJo AG This POV was either filmed by park staff or someone commissioned by the park
@@sayooky5661 ok
RMC The Boss
Rip helix
1:20 is there something wrong this train 💀
They removed the Helix?
thank fuck, that was the roughest part of the ride, I can't put into words how bad that part was. I've never experienced something so rough before or since.
@@blitzn00dle50 keep in mind.... I rode it the month it came out... and ride it 15 years afterwards... it was definitely on its way to being unbearable 15 years later but I was shocked they just took it out rather than fixing it
I rode that
No more helix at the end. They really did remove it! Ugh you bas**rds!
Pains Labyrinth the 570 degree helix was the grand finale of the ride... I hate that they removed it.
I know! People are saying they had to remove it because it was too rough! That's a bunch of bull, I rode it twice last year front and back seat, was just fine. The roughness is what made the ride great! It is called The Boss after all!
I guess people are a lot more sensitive to little bumps these days.
Roughest part wasn’t even the helix, it was the base of the second drop (before the mid-brakes). Helix was some relatively sustained roughness, but it worked for the grand finale of the ride. Plus it was super intense! Now it just sort of lazily turns and just ends. :/
Looks smooth though. Small positive.
The helix was not removed because it was too rough, it was removed because it was actually causing structural damage to the ride.
This and Wild Eagle are definitely going to be gone in 5 years
Rmc 2019
One can only hope.
For 2019 they would have already closed it for the year and started work, maybe 2020
Won't happen
Won't happen in 2019. But maybe in 2020.
Six Flags evaluated the idea it is never going to happen.
Please don't EVER RMC this you can get a brand new single rail coaster to satisfy the RMC craze in the form of a raptor. If anything, GCI could certainly make some areas smoother with titan track, and there trains are the best in the industry for comfort while still being able to move freely/experience wildness and airtime. And since there are three wooden coasters, it wouldn't hurt if one had an inversion or two (maybe right in a row, also SFGADV if you have the possibility do the same to El Toro).
Second
Dear god turn off the midcourse
I'm not sure what makes Six Flags think anyone would go out of their way to get on this ride?
James Blake
It’s a fun ride tf?
From what I’ve heard, this ride is actually pretty decent.
A lot of people do. It's fun because it's painful. The ride is complete chaos.
Yeah Sure you just described the ride at night. It’s total insanity at night
finally someone agrees with me that this ride is so bad that it can't be put into words, it mainly suffers from the worst pacing of any ride I can name off the top of my head and roughness so bad it makes the ninja and even blue streak look butter smooth. to simulate the boss you have to drive 200 miles per hour on a gravel road
