Allapuzha aka Alleppey Railway Station

Allapuzha railway station is one of the important railway station in the state of Kerala.
It has got 3 platforms. It lies in Ernakulam - Kayankulam stretch of Thiruvananthapuram Railway division.
3 Express trains - Alleppey - Dhanbad, Alleppey - Kannur, Alleppey - Chennai & 4 passenger trains originates from Allapuzha.
Many important trains running in the state of Kerala including 16603 Mangalore - Trivandrum Maveli Express, 16345 - Lok Manya Tilak - Trivandrum Netravati Express, 12075 - Calicut - Trivandrum Jan Shatabdi Express, 12431 - Trivandrum - Nizamuddin Rajdhani Express, 22645 - Indore - Trivandrum Ahilya Nagari Express, 12511 - Gorakhpur - Trivandrum Rapti Sagar Express, 12217 - Kochuveli - Chandigarh Kerala Sampark Kranti Express, etc.. passes through Allapuzha.
Allapuzha is one of the important tourist destination in Kerala famous for backwaters & houseboats.
Allapuzha is also known as Venice of East. Allapuzha Railway station is very close to Allapuzha beach.
