Same. Usually we get one dimensional school girls or the Juri wannabe, which was my first impression of her. But what I really like about her is her gameplay and stance transitions. She reminds me more of Lidia than Heihachi. She even has Political Storm

Was a Lidia man in t7 and was super disappointed that she didn't make it, but after playing reina it was definitely worth the sacrifice

Lidia f, f +2 is similar. Stance mix is similar. Reina has a Political Storm from HW. Not just 1,1,2
@LordFerbombi You get Mishima tech with a few of her strings and stance mixups. She has the same weaknesses though. Stubby range and stepable on alot of moves.
She also ressembles Heihachi a lot, which is a plus, maybe Lidia will be DLC

The problem isn't executing it. Because you learn this in an hour or Two. The problem is putting it into matches because every opponent is different. Nothing sucks more imo when you just learned new moves and want to try them but getting oppressed/countered so you gotta use your "old tactics" like using o reliables to really dish out anything
Learning/remembering all this execution is one thing, applying it in actual matches is something else entirely. Don't worry about this stuff for now, just try to have fun learning your characters moveset/fundamentals/match ups. Speaking as a complete newbie to tekken myself.

finally a guide that seems to acknowledge that going into HW after sentai just gets you jabbed. And some clear directions on what moves to actually use after the 221 sentai

Something I found messing around, a bit higher damage ender on the heat dash heaven's wrath 2 combo. People really sleep on 222 qcf2 ender, the damage is huge
Sentai 1+2 / Heaven's 2 -> / Electric / Df 11 / F 2 3 -> / Sentai 2 / 222 qcf 2 // Gives 80 damage and more carry

something important to note about the 112 is it is minus i think 15 so you wanna 11 and and not finish if they block because then you are only at minus 1

I am trying to main her… but I’m struggling hard to remember her transitions, I learned the he’ll stance thing is basically never safe from neutral position, mostly same with seitei, it’s super dangerous to try to bust out the gate with. And remembering which combos go into what in the midst of battle and then deciding what you want to do out of whatever stance.. man it’s tough lol plus I have some input issues I need to work on… with that said great combos lol I hope I can get there someday
She’s arguably the hardest character to learn and play optimal. Take your time brother. You’ll be great eventually!
@@JonNewgate so far I’ve learned a safe and consistent 35 damage combo… I know it’s not much, I also know it has a ton of potential to be more lol I’m still working on just learning her moves and getting decent enough to pull them out without thinking too hard… and trying to have safe consistent stuff I can pull off during play while I’m working on the hard stuff
@@caravaneerkhed if you have trouble with wave dashing. Play around with Kazuya and Devil Jin. I find their wavedash smoother for some reason lol.
@@JonNewgate I can’t do it consistently which is a problem, but I’d say I have about a 70% success rate with wave dash

Was leaning on the fence about maining her or zafina. But just like tekken 7 replacing raven with master raven. This my time to play heihachi with out playing heihachi lol.
She is part Hei with PEWGF 🤣
Just a few things I wanted to add regarding 1,1,2,F > SEN.1+2 > Heaven's Wrath:
The most consistent punish they can usually get would just be their universal fastest low, usually d+4 afaik. But that's minus on hit, so you can RPS around that. Then they might get greedy and go for a slower but stronger low, and then you can RPS around THAT with like WRA.2 or something.
I haven't delved deep into the RPS here on a per character basis, so that's for y'all to figure out.
You can actually cancel raiden by crouch dash, and that makes 1+2 a safe mixup option
You mean sentai 1+2? Because the transition doesn't let her do anything
I want to point out that pressing 3 into sentai is also an option against players that don't duck, you don't get damage but your are +1 so you can keep the pressure with jabs.

Though i did, from sentai 1+2 she transitions automatically, from hellsweep there is a down at the end, same from hunting hawk, but will keep that in mind
@@DamageXcaling I think you did once, and then later on you didn't. Anyway the content is great. It's weird how you're on the right and the notation is from left though. It's a bit small and on the bottom when you pause the video the CZcams overlay is on it btw

The tutorial says in the beginning facing left, that's because Reina is on the right and not on the left

These don't do much damage as regular throws, but are very cool

Most of her stances/transitions are so unsafe lol. I was hoping there was something I missed but no, none of these channels have shown me anything new so I guess that’s just how she is. Ironically for Ms. Unconventional, using stance only after combos started is as conventional as it gets.

Not gonna lie, it's just a little wack to have Reina facing left and to throw up the notation for her moves in that direction if this video is intended for beginners. Solid stuff otherwise
Seems too complex for her own good while others can just press buttons and it just works.
I've been playing her since launch but the stances feel gimmicky.
You'll transition into some stances only on hit with some moves and I hate that.
That makes her feel inconsistent.
Her up or down 3 dance move evades nothing, sidestep is just better.
Sometimes it parries random stuff but you have to know it will catch something to benefit from it and even then, the options don't feel great. It's like you have to guess yourself after a successful parry instead of making your opponent guess.
She's definitely better than the polish karate girl from 7 that felt sluggish, or stuck on some animations, with less mobility too though.
