  • This week we welcome Sudeep Chatterjee to the channel. He takes us through his experience with Bollywood films. How do you shoot a Bollywood song and dance sequence? He tells us about the use of fire and how can be replicated with flicker boxes, but is it as good as the real thing?
    Re-uploaded with new music

    He has every reason to work outdoors day at night, because in those countries, like others that are on the equator, the daytime light is too perpendicular. The United States and Europeans cannot imagine how difficult it is to work like this. I have been to Spain, France and Portugal and the light is super easy to work with. I moved to Argentina two years ago and it's super easy too. But I lived all my life in Venezuela and it is incredible to work with that light, besides that the golden hour is shorter

    If the imagination fails, the symmetry helps.

    • @mohdanasqureshi757
      @mohdanasqureshi757 Před 4 lety +1

      the symmetry is a personal style of a director called sanjay leela bhansali. Stop compartmentalising an industry on the basis of a few examples.

    • @Filmdzija
      @Filmdzija Před 4 lety +5

      @mohd anas Qureshi. Symmetry can never be a personal style! Especially if everyone use it nearly in every film. But to shoot nearly a whole film in that style is very cheap and unimaginative.
      However, I don give a f*** on any industry!

    • @mohdanasqureshi757
      @mohdanasqureshi757 Před 4 lety +3

      Filmadzija it’s your personal opinion about using symmetry as a personal style being cheap and unimaginative. I hope you share the same views for wes anderson then. Because if you don’t then you’re definitely a hypocrite.
