- This week we welcome Sudeep Chatterjee to the channel. He takes us through his experience with Bollywood films. How do you shoot a Bollywood song and dance sequence? He tells us about the use of fire and how can be replicated with flicker boxes, but is it as good as the real thing?
Re-uploaded with new music

I don't watch Bollywood films, I don't understand Bollywood films, but God damm the production design and costumes are stunningly beautiful
there are lot movies in India rather bollywood.. malayalam , tamil, bengali etc... with wonderful world class out put..
Thank you so much cookeoptics for this one. We are really looking forward for more such videos of Indian cinematographers .. rather in more technical details as such tutorials on Indian film on technical aspect are very less. This was a great help. Thank you so much
Thank you so much CookeOptics. Love from Bangladesh. We need more videos like this from Indian DOPs.
Santosh Sivan is a one of the best cinematographers of India , please feature him in a video if possible . Great content , thanks .
7:01 - This is the part that interests me the most (4 x 18K's supplemented by 12K and 6K HMI's!!!!).
@ 7:52 he said "4 * 24 bandinos" .what is bandino ? is it skimmer?
@@adnankhanfilms6366 I think it's fluroscent 24 bank lights
@@adnankhanfilms6366 He said "24 bank dynos", sounds like bandinos haha
Wow, I am really surprised they re-uploaded it after changing the music. These guys are awesome for considering people's requests. I did not mind the original but it is nice to see that you guys care.
They don't have that many gaffers and the films have that amazing lighting??? That's insane
Love this!! Thanks!
Amazing insights, thank you!!
Oh wow, didn’t realize people felt as strongly as I did about the previous music...appreciate the consideration and re-upload!
DECONSTRUCT MORE INDAIN MOVIES
CookeOpricsTV,
India film Industry is one of the biggest film industries in the world, and I think it is really considerate of you to add this video, thank a lot for this, and I want to request you to add more videos of Indian cinematographer as it will be a really great opportunity for us, the students of cinema to learn from this masters, and if you can market it well in Indian then for the views -the sky is the limit.
Thanks a lot
Cinematography Student
Thank you so much coke optics for considering our request to get rid of that stereotypical music
He has every reason to work outdoors day at night, because in those countries, like others that are on the equator, the daytime light is too perpendicular. The United States and Europeans cannot imagine how difficult it is to work like this. I have been to Spain, France and Portugal and the light is super easy to work with. I moved to Argentina two years ago and it's super easy too. But I lived all my life in Venezuela and it is incredible to work with that light, besides that the golden hour is shorter
Beside good stories we have everything in bollywood.
Indian cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda's interview plz! He is dop for KGF movie🔥
Now of the best in world 👍
😂😂😂😂😂
@@hridyeshrawat6131 lol.. why??
do it with Binod Pradhan!!
If the imagination fails, the symmetry helps.
the symmetry is a personal style of a director called sanjay leela bhansali. Stop compartmentalising an industry on the basis of a few examples.
@mohd anas Qureshi. Symmetry can never be a personal style! Especially if everyone use it nearly in every film. But to shoot nearly a whole film in that style is very cheap and unimaginative.
However, I don give a f*** on any industry!
Filmadzija it’s your personal opinion about using symmetry as a personal style being cheap and unimaginative. I hope you share the same views for wes anderson then. Because if you don’t then you’re definitely a hypocrite.
@@Filmdzija Watch out, we got a genius filmmaker over here
Great comment, one Wes Anderson movie and everybody starts justifying shooting symmetry! You can look at Bahubali for a great execution!
The vfx breakdown of patmavat which you played from 6:42 onwards is fake.
😂😂
Its an edited one not the original video.
Nyvfxwaala has only released bajirao Mastani vfx breakdown.
But why not release Padmavat vfx breakdown!!
@@Chetan_patil
Idk
Tahnaji too
Badly waiting for both...
@@Chetan_patil Yes, especially the last shot when she enters the fire..🔥
The best time for filming is nights
Feature Binod Pradhan ISC
6:25 absolutely creepy
Hey Cookeoptics i guess it's the same interview uploaded yesterday but this time without that shitty background music. If yes then thanks for that.
