Fun fact: Solange Knowles, Beyoncé’s sister, was originally cast as Aqua. She pulled out at the last second, and since Adrienne and Kiely were both in a girl group already, they asked Kiely if she could step in.
I definitely can see Solange as Aqua. Kiely was a phenomenal replacement though, loved her in this. ☺️
For Dorinda in the 1st movie not going on tour while her instructor goes, I think she's saying she's taking over teaching the class while the teacher is gone so she is going to get paid!

Sidenote Adrienne Bailon's voice is my absolute favorite of this bunch - it's so high and bright and youthful... you can work on lots of things but a unique tone like that is a gift

I didn't learn until adulthood there's a bunch of books they're based on. Probably said something in the credits but I never read those as a kid xD still haven't read the books yet either

These movies are so special to me because they came out right around the time I moved to the US (and specifically to NYC) as a hispanic kid and I felt so seen by Disney lol But also in the second movie they included Belinda (the actress that plays Marisol) and I grew up with her in Complices and it was sooo special to me to see her and the Cheetah Girls especially coming from Disney Channel!
I love when you guys do musical movies because is interesting to hear your insight on the music as people who actually understand music.

So I didn't think of this when I originally watched only the CG2 review, but Galleria and by extension the girls assuming they needed Chanel to translate, that is so wrong, even back then. Being that there would be business tourists from around the world staying or living in Spain, realistically that server, much like they illustrated both Luke and Angel, as well as their competitor and her stage mother were illustrated to, would at least have a functional grip on English for his work, considering he's in the service industry and would likely be serving either native or secondary English speakers. So TLDR, mildly bothered at making Chanel defacto translator for the other Cheetahs. Also Chanel highlighted she's part Puerto Rican among about a half dozen other Central and South American nationalities she listed off as being made up of, which means if anything she wouldn't JUST be so happening to speak Catalan or other dialect(s) is(are) native to Spain.

I 've never understand why 30old people are playing 16 year old teens. Its so cringe to try act like teenagers. In second movie the girls are already in their late 20s, early 30s. Optical is just silly and it puts you so out of the movie.
What are you talking about. They were in their late teens for the first film and early twenties for the second. Kiely was literally 17 when shooting for the first film and was 20 for the second. Raven was 19 and then 21. The oldest was Adrienne who was 20 and then 23. Where did you get late 20s early thirties babe 😭

In the first they look like teens but in the second, not at all. Its just put me out from a "teen movie" cuz they look so old. Dont get me wrong, this is happening with every movie or tv series that potray teens. (Riverdale, vampire diaries,etc)
@@elk111 the cheetah girls movies came out 2003, 05 and 08 .. the first 2 were before high school musical and 3rd came out around hsm 3 and camp rock started .. they're not new movies
What are you even talking about, this is a Disney Tv movie, they were all on Disney or in teen singing groups.
