A fellow cold steel guy. I have my top three knives, benchmade 945, hogue ritter and cold steel 4-max elite. The 4-max is my favorite by a good margin. Despite lacking a more fancy and fun lock it was a bonding experience sleeping with the blade partially open to break in the spring and practicing using it with a single hand. It's big and everyone loves it, will still carry the 945 sometimes as jewelry and for when the 4-max is too big.
I've been interested in the code 4 for a while.
Long list of wanted toys, haha.

That Code 4 does look slick, but it all comes down to ergos. Wifey got me a Kershaw Cryo recently and it just fits so well in the hand despite having no traction like your code 4. Awesome vid man!
Totally agree! What I’m finding however is when getting it out of or back into the pocket or sometimes just getting it into a good position to deploy, that it’s pretty slick when wet or cold or when wearing gloves. Once deployed: never dropping that sucker.

Funny, that’s strangely accurate… it’s super forgettable in Cold Steel’s line up, isn’t it?
Basically a smaller, thinner Recon 1, but it’s just not as COLD STEEL as most of their stuff.

Oh man… that PM2 was the reason I held off getting one so long, but I gave up waiting. Definitely my fav version. And well, you know how I feel about that SUPERFREEK!
I never did earn that RCR Death Star (latest channel update has the full story) so it’s a respect I don’t deserve, I but thank you nonetheless and sincerely thank you for putting your time in doing shit and putting up with shit that damn near nobody else is willing to do.

It's definitely a lot to choose from. For sure, depending on your budget aswell if your willing to spend 130 on a knife, you can never go wrong with a hogue Deka in magnacut! Or Ganzos if you just need a cheaper beater
I love the original manix and I’ve been thinking about getting a lw. I’m assuming it still feels plenty sturdy even without the liners?
It’s shocking actually. Wayyyy more sturdy than I expected. Not as overbuilt as the original, but still plenty sturdy. I actually much prefer the balance of the LW as well.
Definitely try of catch K.O.T.W. this coming weekend as it will definitely have some relevance to this question…
