- Knife of the week is a weekly series where I discuss which knives I carried and which one came in the most handy and/or got the most overall use.
The lightweight has some sweet steels and colors.
More than I can keep track of!
I have had a Manic 2XL it was great.
I bet! A Manix 2 the size of a Recon 1? I need very little convincing lol.
Nice Review!
🍻
Running is good for you LOL!! When I run I do run with my Manix LW. I have a regular Manix in Cruware and the Manix 2 XL witch actually feels better in hand than the regular or LW. Yes, it is heavier though.
Haha, don’t worry, I’ll still force myself to keep my running at a decent baseline, but I won’t be pushing to run any 20-25 minute 5ks anytime soon (or ever)…
I still tend to rock one of those light Spyderco’s, but I’ve also been carrying the Anaconda on my gym shorts a lot more lately funny enough. Why?? Because it’s pretty comfortable and I straight up don’t really notice it.
The regular Manix 2 for me, for some reason I like the extra weight in my knives
I used to be more aligned with you on that, but these damn light knives are starting to win me over….
Manix lw’s are 3 oz. The milled out nested liner version is 4.2oz. Did you pick up the blade hq lw in m4 mint yet?😊👍🏻
Nice, thanks for the info!
I’m afraid not! Hoping to be able to purchase a few new ones this year though. I’m a ways away from financially being able to buy random collectables though. Soooo many different knife models I still want to try and test out 💪
I like your videos, but I've got to say this one almost gave me motion sickness from the camera shake lol. I feel like you need to get your hands on a Manix XL. I just got one in Cruwear, and I alternate between it and my Manix LW depending on how heavy duty I think I'll need on a day to day. I like Victorinox serrated spartan as a companion to the Manix, but the Victorinox Compact is also a great option.
Thanks for the comment-and definitely noted on the camera shake! I had a shaky set up in my last living quarters but things should be more solid now.
Appreciate the feedback and the knife breakdown 🍻
How solid is the Manix lockup? I looked at several spydercos this weekend. Back locks and compression lock. Every single spyderco had blade play. They did not have a manix. So now im kinda negative about ordering a Manix 2 as I am expecting the same bladeplay
Interestingly enough, the Manix 2 and Shaman are probably 2 Spydercos that you won’t experience any blade play with.
My Delica and Pacific Salt I notice it on way more… less so on my PM2. While you can get away with some pretty hard use on the Manix and some of their other models, Spyderco’s just aren’t meant to be used and abused like Cold Steel’s knives.
Just noticed you have 141 videos and I've only got 136 comments I need to go find those videos and watch em...
Ha, now that’s commitment 😅🤘
Awesome and called it. I need to try a Squirt someday. I've got the shear version but eh not as useful for sure! Cheers bro Awesome knives
The Micra is pretty handy too! I need to grab one of those for myself at one point.
