NOTE: I do not intend to suggest whether this famous influencer couple did morally right or wrong. This video is only an explanation on the Indian law banning sex determination and the Supreme Court's opinion on having such stringent provisions.
This video is for all those who are willing to engage in a discussion on The Pre-conception and Pre-natal Diagnostic techniques (Prohibition of Sex Selection) Act,1994 or the PNDT Act, 1994. Recently, a famous CZcams couple, who run their respective vlogging channels by the name of "Mumbiker Nikhil" and "Shanice Shreshtha" having millions of followers and subscribers on social media platforms, revealed that they got to know the sex of their baby before birth. They could do so by travelling to Dubai and getting the famous blue or pink test conducted there. While we all know that such tests are illegal in India and land an offender behind the bars, the netizens kept wondering how Nikhil and Shanice revealed such a news openly without any fear of the Indian law. This video will explain you the flaws that exist in the Indian law banning such sex determination tests and how those loopholes may be taken advantage of by a few affluent people.
