Wendy's is much easier to find, depending where you are in the States.

Difference between a chicken sandwich and a chicken burger. A chicken sandwich is a whole piece of chicken, fried or grilled, that is put on a bun. This is usually the better tasting option. This is what Popeyes and ChikFilA will serve you. A chicken burger is chicken that has been ground/minced, shaped into a burger patty, usually coated with a breading and fried, then put on a bun. This is usually cheaper and less tasty, as manufacturers commonly mince up less desirable cuts of chicken into the patty. This is what McDonald’s McChicken is made of. The name differentiation, comes from how the meat is prepared, and not the bun/bread.

The first Wendy’s was founded in Columbus, Ohio by Dave Thomas.
Also, they got rid of the original Wendy's around 2007 or so, but there are so many other Wendy's in Columbus that using them as landmarks have often led people I was giving directions to going to the wrong spot.

6:31 Correct. Sandwich. Burger technically refers to the meat, not the bun. Although some imitation meat or meat substitutes also refer to themselves as burgers (I think because they are trying to establish that is what they are trying to mimic).
7:43 Five guys and Wendy's are both good, but I think you'll get more bang for your buck with Wendy's. Five guys is a bit pricey, and you can still get a delicious burger at Wendy's (or Chicken sandwich. I like the spicy chicken sandwich -- add bacon).

In and Out Burger is mainly in California and a few other places. Most of Americans have never tasted their burgers.

I go to Wendy's for the choice of at least four salads. In cool weather I get the taco salad which comes with a cup of chili. I very rarely get burgers and fries anywhere, but when I do, its Wendy's.
Btw what they call the daves double is actually a baconator! Hands down the best burger at wendy's. Who needs veggies when you got tons of beef, bacon, and cheese.
Crispy bacon came from diners where they use a hamburger weight to flatten bacon and cook it faster
Any place is better than McDonald's, it's my last choice for fast food hamburgers

Popeyes... it depends on location for quality of food snd service. I have one 2 miles from my house but when I get Popeyes I go to the one 5 miles away instead. It is good though!
Culver's: Double Bacon Deluxe with extra mayo, cheese curds with choice of sauce, onion rings, Blueberry Lemon Ice Cooler, Turtle sundae, Cashew Carmel sundae, soup.

She called the last burger Dave’s Double Burger, it’s not. The guy read it correctly on the receipt. It’s the Baconator. There’s now a pretzel baconator. LoL. If you want tomato and lettuce with it, the order a Bacon Cheeseburger. It’s already a staple in their menu.

I love my bacon CRISPY AF ! ! ! Europe seems like they just warm it in a pan and throw it on a plate. If I crumple it in my hand, it should break and fall on the plate, not just bend.
I got to hear Dave Thomas speak at the University of Cincinnati's Business college. He showed up in a suit and tie. Within 15 minutes the jacket was draped over a chair and his tie loosened. He was a very friendly personal speaker. Seemed like a great guy.
The Baconator rules! The spicy chicken sandwich is not too shabby either. The fries are always good at Wendy's also.

They changed the Baconator to a Dave's Double by putting the lettuce and tomato on it, it's on the menu.

I love a good Wendy's meal. It's always fresh and amazing flavor. Even their bacon in their Baconator, Junior Bacon and Baconator fries are fresh.
American bacon is thinner and higher in fat than bacon in other places usually is so it frys in it's own grease quite easily.

5 guys is great,but expensive. Just for myself, a single patty burger,small fries(but its a massive amount)and medium drink is usually around $22.00.Wendys is more economical with wider variety
When the burgers are right off the griddle they are quite juicy, but a lot of the time it’s hit or miss. I remember like ten years ago they were making really good burgers but they went back to the original style and the quality suffered. Back then the actual Wendy was the spokesperson and they were using better quality ingredients like, Brioche buns, Romaine lettuce, higher quality deli style pickles, etc.
The burgers are thinner now, probably because of inflation.
Best dinner from wendys is a Baked Potato with Sour Cream and Chives, a large chili with cheese and onions added, with 2 packets of hot sauce and a Chocolate Frosty!

Yes, Wendy's is much better than McDonald's or Burger King. More expensive too, but worth it.
Wendy's nuggets are so good, I prefer Wendy's over McDonald or Burger Kings. English Bacon and America Bacon are not the same cut of meat, American bacon is from port belly while English bacon is from the loin which is why theirs is more like ham and ours is fattier. Frying it crispier renders some of the fat.
We always share the " fancy fries" because they are a lot.
They didn't try a Frosty, which is Wendy's version of soft ice cream. Delicious!
You can also get a Dave's triple meat hamburger...but you better be really hungry 😋

You can get lettuce and tomato on the hamburgers if you ask and I love Wendy’s baked potatoes and frosty’s and the chicken sandwiches and burgers are good too.
Wendy's and 5 Guys are very different. Wendy's is softer and juicer, and probably healthier. 5 Guys has that burnt end/greasy goodness. I like both.
Someone needs to do one on "Olive Garden".

A lot of closings. I think the prices might be too high for the quality. A small bag of McDonald's Fries is $4.00. You can get better fries for $3.00. McDonald's burgers are getting to be too expensive for their size and quality too. Better to go to Wendy's for better quality and taste.

First of all, you are not alone when it comes to liking McDonald's fries! I think a lot of people feel that way! Second of all, Wendy's is really great. There's a lot of them located in my area, which is Massachusetts, and we don't have as many fast food options here, despite the fact that it's not the middle of nowhere or anything. They're just aren't as many chains. Third of all, one really great thing about Wendy's is that they also have baked potatoes. They're really good, too! They're a healthier option, like if you're trying to avoid fries but you still want a starch. Personally, I think Wendy's is better than Five Guys, but they are both really good. That being said, In n Out is definitely better than both of them (not in my area but I wish it was, I've been there in California)

Come to the US with your family and do a food tour of the south.
I'm from Ohio where the original Wendy's in Dublin, Ohio was formed. It's no longer there but i ate there as a kid. It's definitely changed for the worse lately in the last decade but so has everything else its not just them. I think even still....i prefer Wendy's to the other big choices

Try Wendy's. I can eat and have eaten Wendy's once a week. Five Guys is like once a year, if that. That burger was a Baconator, not a Dave's double. A baconator is a go to for me, Andre might want the Son of Baconator since it is a smaller version of it.
Culvers used to be my #1 go to for a burger, then Wendy's. Burger king's burgers taste better, but their fries taste like cardboard and McDonald's fries test the best IMO. The last time I went to Culver's I was shocked at how the size of their burger shrunk and wasn't worth the price, so that must make Wendy's #1 now😃
Chick-fil-a is top tier fast food
We dont have Five Guys, or In and Out around me. The burgers i get most often are from Cook Out. They also have good chicken wraps. Wendy's has really good burgers but i don't love their fries. I prefer a grilled chicken sandwich over a fried one so i choose Zaxby's over Popeyes. Plus Zaxby's fries are delicious.

Popeye's challenge is consistency. The places are either really good or awful. I just don't risk it any longer. We don't have Popeyes locally, my sister wants to go when we go to Missoula for the dog show this weekend. I'll go through the Chick-Fil-A for a sandwich. Wendy's is fine, they do have some good salads also.
5 guys and in and out are really good, but it’s expensive for a fast food place. Wendy’s is (to me) the freshest of truly cheaper fast food. I prefer them over McDonald’s for sure. Burger King is my favorite but I think that’s a childhood thing.
I would go with In and Out burger. I do agree with you that McDonald's fries are good but usually I do not order fries. the burger is enough for me at a meal.

I think Wendy's is actually pretty good. Better than McDonald's or Burger King. Like most fast food places these days their prices have gotten pretty high IMO. But, they send out coupons in the mail monthly and offer pretty good deals in the app so, with that they still get our business 😂
And their fries are natural cut and seasoned with sea salt so, they're very good
Oh, and their chilli and baked potatoes are really good too
Five Guys have the best french fries hands down! Their burgers are good, but they use American cheese which is imitation cheese, so they don't taste as good as they would with real cheddar cheese.
I feel bad for brits look how much they are enjoying low tier fast food. What do they feed you in england?
If you have the chance you should try both! IMO, Five guys has superior fries (cooking them in peanut oil makes an amazing difference) but I like Wendy's burgers better. I think most people find it like that too where one item shines at one chain and a different one at another so I would say try as many as you can. 😄
PS- My poor little American brain can't help but cringe a little every time they call a chicken sandwich a "burger"! 😆
Five Guys has really good food, bit they are super expensive. Many stores are closing around the world also. Wendy's good is okay, but I prefer Cook Out burger.

I would choose 5Guys. Wendy's is good, but 5Guys has a grill & they'll slice fresh mushrooms, fresh jalapeños, onions plus a few others. Then you can order a burger with to-order sautéed mushrooms, jalapeños & onions. I like mine with all 3 plus cheese, lettuce & tomato. Fun Fact: 5Guys was one of Michelle Obama's favorite places for burgers & fries.

5 Greasy Guys is not better than Wendys.
I like McDonalds coffee, ice cream, and fries. Wendy’s has better burgers plus they have frosty’s, chili bowl, and salads. Five Guys is really good but its menu is limited compared to Wendy’s.
Hey friend, bit off topic, have you ever had the basket of fries at McDonald's? Now that's a whole meal for like $6 U.S. if like me you can be satisfied with just French fries 😊😊
IMO I love the flame broiled taste of Burger King best, and while I like 5 Guys taste too, it's just outrageously expensive and overpriced (I also put Shake Shack in this category too) Wendy's is 2nd because of the baked potato with chilli & cheese & sour cream. Carl's Jr/Hardee's is next, and then McDonald's is last. In-n-Out is not here in Miami yet, even though I did taste in California, but I wasn't that impressed. It was good, but I wasn't wowed by any means.

wendys like all fast food was top tier when they used real ingredients, which was a long time ago. I recommend for your health only eating food you cook yourself these days.
Once upon a Time Wendy's was awesome. Dave named the restaurant after his daughter Wendy. He died and his family eventually sold it. The food has really gotten super small, more expensive and the ingredients stingy. Sorry to be a buzzkill! Five guys would be the better place to go!
Wendy's is very good, better than both McDonald's & burger King. In fact Burger King is on the way out here in America ! But Five Guys is so much more expensive and not much better than Wendy's.
You're likely to find burnt bacon in the same places you'll find well-done steak.
The Blueberry Pomegranate lemonade at Wendy's is FABULOUS! Go for Wendy's before Five Guys because it's good food that is less expensive. My brother loves Five Guys but I've seen many comments that they the price of their burgers is subpar to taste. You'll have to find that out for yourself.
When you're only limited to Burger King and McDonald's, fast food is DEFINITELY something you should try so you can decide if all these other people are right or wrong about how good it is/isn't, but it shouldn't be the ONLY food you try which you know it won't. But you can't always spend money on higher priced food when you're on vacation and all fast food chains aren't everywhere in the US so try the ones in a specific area. I don't have access to In N Out, Whataburger, Culver's or Jolibee so if I find I'm in a state that has one, I'm definitely seeing what I'm missing out on, lol.
So, when it comes to "Fast Food Tier Lists" the top 3 "Quality Fast Food Chains" would be Wendy's, Chick-Fil-A, and Arby's. You can probably add McDonald's to that list also if you want, but I personally wouldn't.
There are other really good Fast Food Chains, 5 Guys for example, but they aren't as well known or as widely spread as the Major ones... but are top-tier as well.
