    Great video explaining the reseal. Just should try NOT to turn the driveshaft counter clockwise as the impeller fins may flip in the wrong direction. I also cut an 1 1/2 inch slot in my bench to slide the unit into for working on it.

      I noticed that he installed the impeller in clockwise direction but all the videos I saw shows that the impeller must be installed counterclockwise in the impeller seat since the motor turn clockwise? See it at 40:10 czcams.com/video/xtqJSThvlwo/video.html

    There is a mandrel tool for these seals that steps for different size seals and is so easy and clean that you can reuse the seals

  • @magicone9327
    @magicone9327 Před 5 lety +1

    When using that style of seal removal tool insert something into the hole against the tool so the tool can't jump away from the edge of the seal upon impact.

    I understand you wanting to replace the gears for someone else’s motor but when I checked the price for them it was right around 700 dollars. Forward Reverse clutch dog and maybe a couple of other little things. 😱

    I noticed at 40:10 that you have pre-installed the rubber impeller in clockwise direction into the Impeller Housing; at the dismantle step it was counterclockwise. All the videos I saw show the impeller counterclockwise if pre-installed in the impeller seat since the motor will turn imperatively clockwise once reassembled? See it at 40:10 czcams.com/video/xtqJSThvlwo/video.html

    I feel like I have a weird model. I've been having fits with it. Supposedly it's a 1965 mq-11c. All the videos I've watched show similar builds but I know someone was in there before me. Nothing matches exactly. Some people have this. Some people have that. Mine had none of it and it seems like it doesn't work when i try to follow others instructions. Do you have any suggestions?

      BUCKSLAYER it should be pretty much the same as this. Below is a link to the parts breakdown, I would start there.

      mastman 23 I looked through everything I have and I couldn’t find any kind of parts list for that motor. I would guess it’s the same as the 18, but I couldn’t say for sure.
