Very well done video. This convinced me that the installation was something I could readily accomplish myself. Thanks for this!
Thank you very much, it's a pretty simple install!
Just installed on my 2018 STX 4x4. It took a little effort to fit them into place, but they fit well and look great. Thanks for the video.
Thanks for watching!
Got mine in like 3 days.
Super FAST.
I was worried about the clips that go in the aluminum body, but after having them in my hand, I think they are aluminized like exhaust tube.
Install was quick and easy.
If you have weather guard no drill mud flaps, you can install the liners without removing them.
Looks awesome and I agree Ford and Chevy both should make this done from the factory!!!
I just got my liners in for my 2016 f150 and it was a lot more difficult than this video. That is just because I have the sport edition and the wheel wells have a n extra outside plastic flare on it. the lip of the liner gets caught between the extra outside flare and original edge of well. I am probably going to cut some of it off to fit better.
I have No Drill Mud Flaps on my 2017 F150, can I use these with them or will I have to toss them
I'm considering a Raptor and went to look at one yesterday and it looked so strange without rear wheel well liners... I looked at the Husky's for the Raptor but it still looks odd and cheap to me you can see the exhaust and everything.. Love the truck and am still considering it, but that'd bother me like crazy if I can't find a decent wheel liner.
will this also cover a body lift gap?
Is there any kind of front wheel well liners available?
Why is it only the rear. Do they not have these for front?
I own these,IMO MFGs should all have a liner or wheel well of some sort from the factory as suggested but well worth it IMO to own a set
I agree, thanks for watching!
Good video brother. You nailed it. Why didn't Ford have these installed in their trucks from the factory. I bought a 2017 F-150, 3.5 EcoBoost with the 302A chrome package, has a sunroof...the whole nine - leather. Sticker was 57k. Just another fkn racquet to make money 👌
So yours is a Ford part that you bought elsewhere?
Just curious about what that wiring harness was for in the rear of the wheel well? Any help please
Its for the lights in the fender flare.
I tucked my liners behind the grommets for my fender flares. Do you think this will cause any issues? Sorry just overly paranoid.
That shouldn't be a problem.
Are those clips made of aluminum? I hope so, or dissimilar metal corrosion will occur.
I believe they are aluminized like exhaust tube.
I was worried about that too, but with the clips in my hand, they just kind of have that smooth "feel" of aluminum.
I even considered folding a piece of electric tape over the body before installing the clips.
@@dontask8979 I got some from Pendaliner, the clips are galvanized metal. We shall see I guess, but yeah some tape would be smart.
I painted mine and put tape behind it just incase.
2.5 inches lifted ?
They do come like that from the factory just add them on as a option when buying your truck
Ford should have included.
They do. That just just wasnt optioned with then
I installed this on a 2017 Lariat in about 20 mins. Super easy. If you can't install these or have problems.... hire a pro. lol
Wtf, since when has freddy been working with Cj Pony Parts?? good on ya man!
Thank you very much, I've been here since May.
Freddy CJPP hope you like it, dude!
What's the wiring harness for?
Its for the light in the fender flare.
These liners fit like shit on my 2018 platinum- got a full refund and threw them straight in the trash. They fit fine on my 2016 platinum. It's the same part number in either case per Husky's site and nothing changes in that part of the truck, so I'm not sure what the problem is.
The ones installed in this video are not designed for the 2018. We've installed this set on a 2018 and they fit just fine www.cjponyparts.com/ford-wheel-well-liners-rear-pair-f-150-2015-2018/p/FL3Z9927886D/
Husky advertises the same part number on their site as they do on Amazon, for 2015-17 and 2018, FYI. #79121
I'll be ordering the set you linked- thank you.
The Ford OEM liners fit better and have better fasteners. Glad I bought the Ford liners instead of these.
What makes the fasteners so much better? Lol I work at a dealership and the oem mud flaps and liners like this are made from China
Factory wants triple the price for them.
The factory ones are about 10 to 15 dollars more than the aftermarket ones, and they fit much better, and have a better installation kit. They're worth the extra money.
Thanks. Will keep this in mind.
@@Relic67 I found mine on Amazon for my 2020 F150. Looks like the factories finally realized that Amazon is actually a good place to sell parts.
Yes cheap of ford to not put a liner . I just bought these.
Should’ve cleaned and waxed the wells first
You are promoting rust with these liners. The wheel wells rust from the inside and these simply do not allow moisture and condensation to evarporate. If you think these will prevent rust, you are wrong. They do not prevent mud, leaves, and water from entering the inside of the cavity where rust begins. Use at your own risk.
The body is aluminum, it wont rust.
Was gonna mention this too. Step I would take are through power wash. Let dry. Krown spray area. Then install.
@@brianshuford3385 seen rust eating away on a 2017 wheel well lip. Please explain that. Cheers truck lovers.
Yeah but they make these liners for the steel trucks too, to those are which I was referring.
@@firesuppress76 I don't know what you saw, but aluminum doesn't rust.
