  • Probably the best visual upgrade you can make to your F150 for cheap money is the Husky wheel well liners. Not only do you get great protection from them from road debris and salt, the visual appearance is significantly better.
    In this video we go through the simple install process of the Husky wheel well liners on our 2018 F150. It should be the same for 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020 F150s.

    Good (short and concise) video; thanks!
    Just put them on my ‘22 F150 Lariat. Took me less than 30 minutes for both sides, and I lost 3-5 minutes re-reading the instructions and NOT putting the clips on before I put on the passenger side. Tried to wedge my arm up there but ended up having to take that liner back out. The thing that made it hard was that that liner was snug.
    Looks a lot cleaner than the exposed
    metal of the bed and frame.

      I totally agree it looks so much better with them installed. You’re right about how well they hug the truck and how it makes them hard to install. Was really worth it though!

      Are there different part numbers for 2021 and 2022 ? I was on Amazon and I couldn't find the Husky brand Ford F150 wheel well liners for the 2022....I. locked on the models that said 2021 and it said " vehicle specific, will not fit 2022"......part # you used for the 2022s ? Thanks

      @@gaylordgredel9360 Not sure about different PN's for 21 vs. 22. Auto Anything is where I got mine from. They have a "chat" feature which is helpful so you can talk to a customer service rep before you place your order to be sure you have selected the right PN.

    I have a 2019 F150 XLT. There is no front 10mm bolt, only 3 hold it down, and the stock mud flaps are different so I had to cut out a small piece on the rear bottom to get it to sit right over the mud flap as it has this inch rise that the Husky liner hits. Once that small piece is taken out it fits perfectly.

      Interesting to know that the 2019 is different. I wouldn't think they are but great to hear you got it to fit right!

    I'll probably do this after I get new tires on my '15. Great video. What tires should I get...Michelin Defenders...Nitto Ridge Grapplers...BFG KO2?

    • @SmackeysGarage
      @SmackeysGarage  Před rokem +1

      I’ve had the Goodyear Duratracs and the K02s. If I had to choose between the two I’d be going with the KO2s. I haven’t had experience with the others.

    Haven't saw 1 video of anyone treating above the wells where they meet with the inner tub with any rust protector, doing mine tomorrow with 3M using their wands. Worked great in the rockers! Doing doors also.

      Do you have an aluminum body F150 or an older truck with a steel bed? I haven't used any rust protector for that reason.

      @@gene2200 definitely keep up with it. I would do the same if I had a steel bodied truck. The 15s and newer like mine don’t have rust issues, but aluminum does corrode. I miss my ‘11 that I had!

      I really like the WeatherTech drill-less mud flaps. I've had them on my truck since new and they have never come loose. I actually had them on my previous truck as well (2011 SuperCrew) and had a great experience. I'd really recommend them if you need a pair.

    The only reason to get these would be to darken the fender well on a lighter painted truck! I put them on my black truck and they didn't change a thing! They talk about protecting your undercarriage from damage, guess what... Take a look underneath your f150. Unless it's just been rolled off the line the day before, it's already rusted over! Lol.
