Solo workout is tough. Physically and mentally.
This girl inspired so many kids in RI can’t wait too see her grow even further
NCAA W800m will be great this year given that it has 8 of the all-time Top 25; Rose, Willis, Whittaker, Gorriaran, Jallow, Kitching, Chepngetich & Thomas, should be fantastic!
She was just a 16-year-old high schooler when she made it to the U.S. Olympic Trials. Very promising.
I love these in-depth training videos. They help us get to know the athlete, coach and program. I will be cheering for Sophia all season now👍
Awww, I remember when she was a little girl. Now she's a young lady. Nice to see her grow up. This year she will break out and go sub 2:00m - I guess 1:58 for my prediction. She always had good speed - go after those Stanford girls!
She will go before the Stanford girls.
would love to see sprinters workout
This was awesome to see. I genuinely love watching her run!
Thank you for showing her in 1080p60 💫
Tremendous athlete and appreciate the details from the coach and the impact on the different systems used
Holy...! I don't know, but that workout seems killer
Great video! I guess she is more of a 400/800 type than a 800/1500 runner? She did look like sprinter on the 60m efforts and a good 1500 athlete would not have found those 400s that difficult But for an 800 runner it's easier to build endurance onto good natural speed than the other way round!
This is heat
I NEED to know where she got those shorts
What's the first sneaker she was wearing?
What shoes was she wearing for the first set of 400s?
Saucony
Look like saucony ride
good luck, many don't get faster after HS then fall to way side.
Beautiful runner.
She was faster in high school. Could be overkill with some of these workouts. Just watched the NCAA and she only placed 4th or 5th in her heet with a relatively slow 2:04 plus.
A 2:04 in a 400?
@@courtneyelizabeth1023800
@@courtneyelizabeth1023no, in an 800. She wouldn't run at a college level if she did that in a 400 lol
Thresh hold workout ?
No. Much quicker. 60s were for fatigue. 400s and 300s were slower than 800m race pace, but larger volume than a typical race pace workout, so this workout is strength based for sure.
Might want to get some more-accurate 30m timing. That’s not 3.20. (As well, 3.20 is unrealistic for someone who’s not yet under 8.00/12.50)
And that 4th rep *definitely* wasn’t 3.1.
Such a beautiful body. Just perfect and graceful, so different from the typical 800 meters women athletes. The 30m splits were impressive.
First
coach, have you ever heard of a heart rate monitor??? why is she taking her heart rate manually?????
so all she does is just run in a circle? What is the point exactly?
so you don't actually understand track and field??? or....what's blocking you from understanding.
do you know what track is?
and all you do is sit in front of a screen, at least she's working out and being active
