I have been there. From desiring to be a missionary, to sin, to thoughts of suicide, to mental wards to losing my faith entirely. Somehow He was there through it all and now I am glad I walked through all the dark valleys that I did. Now I am 100% sure of Him and His Word. "Consider it pure joy, my brothers, when you encounter trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Allow perseverance to finish its work, so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5Now if any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6But he must ask in faith, without doubting, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That man should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. 8He is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways." What a comfort. Thank you, Pastor John. As I enter my 8th year of chronic illness and much pain, these truths are much-needed. The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places, indeed I have a beautiful inheritance. Let us press forwards in hope that one day these mortal bodies will be swallowed up by LIFE!!!

I love this man and he has had a profound influence on my relationship with the Lord....but this comment on coasting gave me a moment of pause... I realise he is big on the idea of "saving" faith but stirs the thoughts and one could link it to the idea of losing salvation. Arent we all on our own faith journeys ...some have weaker faith than others and will in a sense be dragged across heaven door...yet are they not saved if they do not pursue the Lord vigorously in every season of life? In some of his sermons i wish he would add a few qualifiers to explain more to the less discernable ear.....Blessings

Wonderful…just wonderful. The evenings (during the night) have been where the Lord has been revealing to me the sanctification of the deepest parts of my kidneys for Him. Psalm 51:6. As an aside, I’m not convinced that Jesus’ physical body (marred beyond human likeness) didn’t see the decay of death prior to His resurrection. It doesn’t make sense to me (and I appreciate that ‘sense’ isn’t the be all and end all) that His body was unrecognisable as a human body (like a battered Lamb) prior to death and then didn’t see rigor mortis, for example. Any thoughts?

John, the people would have a much better understanding of our "leaders" if you taught Biblical Cosmology. Genesis 1 tells us we live under a firmament solid enough to hold back water. He tells us He put the sun, moon and stars within the firmament. He tells us that the moon has its own light, not that the sun shines on it. Either God or man is lying. Job 38:14 says the Earth takes form like clay under a seal. Over and over the Bible says the Earth does not move. 1 Chronicles 16:30, Psalm 33:8-9, Psalm 93:1, Psalm 96:10, Psalm 104:5, Isaiah 14:7, Zechariah 1:12 (just a small sampling) Man tells us we come from primordial goo, that the Earth is billions of years old and that we live on a spinning ball that water clings to. We are supposedly hurdling through "space" at a curious 66,600 mph while spinning at 1000 mph yet Polaris stays fixed year after year, age after age. They say the moon spins yet so slowly that we only ever see one face of it. What? All of our "leaders" are lying to us. Are you one of those lying or have your eyes been blinded?
Yes. In Joshua, the sun and the moon stood still. The earth doesn't move. If you read the book of Enoch, he explains how the sun and the moon travel to and fro through gates and tells how the seasons come about. NASA lies to the whole world. They have admitted that no one went to the moon, because it's not even possible. It's been proven, by scientific evidence that there is no curvature to the earth. The very Meaning of NASA means to deceive. They have brainwashed the whole world.

As an aside, I’m not convinced that Jesus’ physical body (marred beyond human likeness) didn’t see the decay of death prior to His resurrection. It doesn’t make sense to me (and I appreciate that ‘sense’ isn’t the be all and end all) that His body was unrecognisable as a human body (like a battered Lamb) prior to death and then didn’t see rigor mortis, for example. Any thoughts?

John, the people would have a much better understanding of our "leaders" if you taught Biblical Cosmology. Genesis 1 tells us we live under a firmament solid enough to hold back water. He tells us He put the sun, moon and stars within the firmament. He tells us that the moon has its own light, not that the sun shines on it. Either God or man is lying.
Job 38:14 says the Earth takes form like clay under a seal.
