Whats crazy to me (and thats probably normal in every coffeestore so i don't blame you) is how much waste there is, for example 18:49, this cup was basically not used at all and got thrown away.
Or how the milk is wasted, or that you have packages for milk and how much you use in a day, wouldn't it be possible to use large barrels like they use for beer?
Or that even when people sit there they still use plastic/paper cups while you basically could use porcelain mugs, like in my head this is just one coffee store out of many and if you think about all the waste which is created in just one day, just mind blowing.
But still thanks for the pov! Super interesting to watch!
In fact, I also noticed that more coffee is thrown away (even the powdered one still to be made) than the one actually consumed by customers... it doesn't make any logical sense to me either.

You could measure before hand and have various pichers for each certain size drink ..

The espresso machine has a preset shot weight we want every shot to weigh which is 37g! The slayer is very accurate!

How can you waste so much milk and coffee ? Apart from making good coffees you are really good at wasting food .
sometimes u have to grind the coffee and bin it if the granules aren’t right to make sure you get the perf coffee and milk never gets reused sometimes you don’t know how much to put in the jug

I get it you need the right consistency in each cup but find a solution to it damn it
The grocer got paid, the truck driver got paid, the distributor got paid, the dairy farmer got paid, the cow got paid (with hay). You could pour the milk right down the drain and it still wouldn't be a waste.

@@varadrajkarve9534 i didn’t say it was ok to waste so much? all i’m saying is, it’s hard to know how much milk you need to pour sometimes you pour too much. If the grounds aren’t right the coffee won’t be nice! so binning is necessary as the espresso machine sometimes doesn’t always work the way you want it too which means customers complaining… and you are saying in your whole entire life you have never binned left overs or completely finished a meal? wishing binning anything on your plate? or cooked something and burnt it and had to bin it? everyone has wasted something in there life sorry the world ain’t perfect💁🏼♀️

Why the hell would you waste a paper cup every other order. Use the shot glasses. Like the content, but you guys are so wasteful. From coffee, to workflow, everything is making me anxious.
Thanks, it’s not quite ever other drink. And using the shot glasses would create the same problem our pitchers do. Pouring butter from the toffee sauce down the drain which has clogged before. If and when it gets to the main line it would be 50000$ to dig up and clear. Luckily we have planted 30,000 trees through Trees for the Future which I think offsets a few dozen paper cups a day. Always happy to take feedback, but seeing a small glimpse on the internet doesn’t give you the whole story to much of anything.

The fact that you tuck the towel for cleaning the coffee handle in the trashcan is gross. And then you also dry your hands on it. This is extremely unsanitary. You ca get a dry brush that hangs on top of the coffee machine by a magnet so you can clean the old coffee remains, and clean milk pipe with a CLEAN napkin that sits on top of the coffee machine.
This is literally standard so not sure what you mean. Orange County CA health department approves it and they are one of the most strict health departments in the world. No one wipes there hands on this towel it’s covered in grounds? Milk towel is separate on the machine idk what you’re saying. Btw a dry brush isn’t going to lift the oils out of the portafilter basket. Yeesh
