The Supermix 4 just launched at a price of $149.99 - www.linsoul.com/products/simgot-supermix-4?sca_ref=2710245.j27NnRKYJ7
thats an incredible price if its almost on the same league as the canyon II, i play tarkov and the game that seems like its the closest thing that you test is Apex in terms of space and verticality of sound cues, do you think the Supermix4 perform around the same as canyon II for apex?
It's 150 dollars now
when I play MW3 multiplayer. People use deadly silence to silence their foot steps. with kiwi orchestra lite I can hear peoples equipment jiggle and spot the enemy that way
Wow. Now that the price is released is it going to be formally added to the tier list in the description?
its $149.99 fresh..do you have any discount code for linsoul? 😅
I got the Hype 4 IEMs based on your review on them. And i LOVE it. I am able to hear everything. I can hear them creeping up behind me from far away and up close. I don't play COD but i've played apex/tarkov and it has been a great experience.
They’re amazing in apex 💯
I received the FA19’s in the mail a couple of days ago and I really cannot put into words how good they are for FPS games especially COD! Legit my buddy that I play COD with farted in his room and I heard it through these things in the discord chat. He was shocked, as I was, when I called him out on it. Thanks for the Fresh Reviews. Love the channel!
Micro detail so good you hear the puff of air coming out of those cheeks. Love it
Great video! I got the Yanyin Cannon 2s when you did your first review on them last year. Thank you! They have been amazing for Call of Duty and Hi Res music. I have them plugged into my Shiit Jotunheim 2 Amp/Schiit Bifrost 2/64 DAC. Im glad you talked about DACs right off the bat and said there is an increase in clarity, soundstage, imaging, and separation when using a DAC. Would be awesome if you did a DAC/AMP tier comparison and vs no DAC video.
Glad you enjoy!
* waits for valorant iem related video to make more unnecessary purchases *
Hahaha
cs2 incoming
Great video! Can confirm canon 2 is a great set of IEMs for COD, it helps me pinpoint enemies around me with ease and sound stage is very wide and even close to my hd490 (PC speakers in game audio preset)
Are you using a dac amp?
Hey thank you for time and money spent on these test/reviews for us. What would you recommend for gaming primarily? The 490s or the orchestra/yanyin ?
Depending on if you want headphones or IEMs I’d go for the canon 2 or 490s
been waiting for this one!! thank you goat!
The vaxee pad is a winner, great summer vibes. Great list, still holding out for the collab to drop👍🏻👍🏻
Is it possible to record your gameplay and watch it to test different IEMs/DACs or do I need to be playing
Have you tested the more budget DACs like the Q5k and the Fiio KA1/KA13 etc? How do those do? Also I don't see the BT770's reviewed which are very commonly recommended on the EOT subreddit, would you be willing to make a video on it? Thanks!
Hi Fresh, great reviews as always :) Out of interest, what in game audio settings do you run for Call of Duty?
Headphones atm
Another absolute banger video from the peripheral king 👑
I appreciate that!
What are your opinions on portable dac/amps like Moondrop Dawn Pro / Moonriver Ti 2.
Or any others that you might have tried? Comparing to the Topping desktop amps.
Hey man, I'm looking to upgrade from the Hype 4's, as I find they're quite underwhelming in the titles I play. To me personally, they struggle heavily at separating different events that are happening around you and can become extremely blended and muddy during a fight or multiple shots/comms happening at once, essentially creating the illusion that the audio is getting lost in each other, which makes it extremely difficult to pinpoint or pick up on audio cues while other things are happening. Wondering if you'd recommend either the FA19's or MK III's for a better all around experience (competitive gaming, music listening, video editing).
I like the fa19 a bit more. You can also still look at the yanyin canon 2
@@FreshReviewsYT Appreciate the response 🙏 think I'll look into giving them both a try.
Nice one!!!
Almost hard to believe that supermix 4 is that high for that price.
Im happy with my splendor.
Thanks for review.
I do still prefer the splendor for most games. Glad you like it
Question, would using an extension for the iem cable affect sound quality?
my god that vaxee pad is CLEAN
haha yea i love it
@@FreshReviewsYT Would Final Audio A5000 be good for this. As that has really good wide and deep sound-stage. Really good imaging separation and placement. High on details as well.
Would upgrading to something like the DX3 prop plus or of zen dac equal better sound in games as opposed to my current setup that includes a Qudelix 5k? Would the two mentioned earlier make anything better like footsteps etc?
Fantastic round-up. For someone who mostly plays story driven games looking for immersion, with a little FPS here and there, what would you recommend with a budget up to $400?
The canon 2 is still good for single player games and/or the splendor II and hype 4
I have a question, can't really tell the difference between desktop dac and dongle, what is the real difference? (for IEMs surely, I meant).
Hey Fresh! I was wondering if I should go with a IEM or stick to headphones. I have been eyeing the HD560s and 900 pro x since Warzone 1 but I wanted to know your thoughts on what I should go with for sound on ranked rebirth island. My budget is 250 and i am unsure on what I should go with. Thank you!
My buddy uses the 560s and enjoys them. It depends what you’re looking for in terms of comfort and if you like IEMs or headphones
Hey man thanks so much for the in depth reviews. I trust your judgement. I just got a dx3pro+ this weekend and coming from mobo audio and bluetooth buds the sound difference is other worldy. My question to you that since I finally dipped my toes in the dac/amp realm. I'm a curious to try the fiio k11/7 and ifi zen dac to compare. Do you think it's worth it to A/B them with the topping for curiosity or do I already have the best of 3
I think you picked the best of the 3 for sure 👍🏽
@@FreshReviewsYT Thanks man for the reply. You're awesome. I just don't know if I will be missing out. I can't figure out why the ifi zen v2 is the same 199.99 price as the dx3pro+ and it's way more powerful and has more features...unless it's ifi covering their MQA license?
Now that I have dx3pro+ I'm very interested in trying some iems you mention.
i have 3 picks harmonicdyne athena, tygr 300,dt900 pro x if you were among these three which one would you choose ? which one is the best in terms of music im i love lots of travel
I’m in the market for the best bang for buck IEMs. Something neutral that’s good for gaming but content consumption in general. Any recommendations?
When are you going to test the VZR model ones. Like to see how they compare to the other top cans.
hope your finished collab wont have the ziigaat logo aswell. looks stunning like this
I only play CS2, but i still appreciate the time and effort you put into these videos. I use the Xenns Top from your recommendation for a while now and i love them.
really good iem
I use Soundblaster G6X as DAC on Direct Mode and it's an amazing DAC.
Thank you Fresh! One questoin. How is your Canon II tuned with the different switches on the side?
Default. One up two down
@@FreshReviewsYT Gotcha!
interestingly , how is supermix 4 vs simgott dream in term of wallhack for you? i know its difference in price but seems supermix 4> simgot dream in COD warzone?
I’d love to see what you think of the Artti T10, heard excellent things about them. Especially with the Tri Clarion eartips.
I use the same combination, and they are excellent for valorant, I still think that softears rsv is a league above in terms of the ability to pinpoint the angles and precision.
@@lucuschen9911 thank you for the input! Have you tried some of these other IEMs on Freshs list? How does the Artti T10 w/ Tri Clarions do compared to them?
@@gingi_swagg9304 may need to test more but artti t10 is better than dunu kima, i have the hype 2 as well which he reviewed and it sucks in valorant. My em10 came in today, and it sucks for valorant. I don’t think you are gonna get a better gaming performance for the money. I paid $45 usd for it lol.
Are we able to use these IEM recommendations for other games? I’ve only just gotten into using IEMs - using the Linsoul KZ S10 Pro’s which are great but I’d like to get a new pair but I play anything from Fortnite, Apex, X Defiant as of yesterday and Valorant so I assume these all have different audio profiles
Yea these work cross titles. Some just work better than others. The canon 2 is very high in ALL games I’ve played
Hey man, I’d love a response if you could
Is an AMP deck really that important? and say I go for ur AMP deck it makes my experience perfect
But say I DONT how much am I missing out on realistically?
and even if I connect the amp deck to my pc is that something that will benefit my rode mic in the future or no?
Amp dacs make an impactful difference especially if your on board audio is bad
Any plans to check out the Pilgrim and/or DaVinci?
I’d like to
Can u do a best iems at their price ranges for gaming cause im thinking of getting a iem but not sure what to get since this is my first time getting one and i would like a good one in between the 50 to 80$ range , thank you for reading this if u are.
Edit: I usually play Apex, cs2 and a bit of valorant but no warzone
Holy sht you got the dream already. Btw do you think supermix 4 is a good upgrade for em6l???
would the fiio k11 fit well together with the FA19 or would there be a lot more sound to get out of them with a better dac?
just get apple dongle
for valorant or cs go do u recommend truthear zero red ? (i wannna listen to music with it too)
he has a vid for it, look it up
@@user-pb9sv1tw7t ty just watched it
Yeah guess ill get it
And maybe i will eq it to make it even better for valorant
great roundup! what are your thoughts on the yanyin canon 2 having different connectors? (2.5mm / 3.5mm / 4.4mm) how much of a difference do each of them make, if at all?
Depends on your power source. You can always get another cable though
@@FreshReviewsYT it won’t affect how it sounds at all?
Hey Fresh. What switch config do you have the yanyin canon 2 in for r6? thinking about grabbing them along with the Arete with the Linsoul sale
Default. One up two down
@@FreshReviewsYT Thanks! Just put i my order, Can't wait to try the collab as well! im expecting great things :)
Sick review! Are you doing another video for Valorant and Apex? That would be nice!
All of my individual reviews are usually focused on those two games in particular
What's your collab iem msrp?
Should keep a basic impedance adapter on hand and integrate into the testing process, would be curious if any meh iems are sleepers and come alive like with the crin zero red
Accurate describtion of Orchestra Lite lol, that's why I've dropped it, it feels like my ear canals been screwed up
I've been using Dunu Vulken for CoD (duelsense dac), it's good IEM generally and comfortable, but can't pinpoint the vertical footsteps and audio details loss when a lot ia going on, ironically I would say my raptgo hbb do better job at pinpointing steps but that probably due to the IEMs lack of channeling all the audio details
Unfortunately, my blaster G6 is broken, probably I'm going to get the Shiite one but I'm not sure if it supporrs the PS5
great vid, so ended up with hype 4s and zen dac v2 recently, is there a reason to return hype 4s to get canon 2s and possibly a dx3 pro plus?
I think it would be a better combo for most games tbh
@@FreshReviewsYTi see thanks, which tips u use for the yanyin canon 2s?
Which IEMS do you recommend for someone who never used any, that mainly/only plays FPS games like valorant? Being able to tell where footsteps are coming from is a must! Any price range :)
Any price range? Oh man I’d probably start with the splendor II. Good option and not too killer on the wallet (in terms of the IEM market)
What IEMs are best at hearing footsteps as best as possible and nothing else wallhack-like? For console and fps games and with no DAC
Hey dude just bought the hd490s bc of your video, can you help me out with a mouse pick? Currently using pulsar x2v2 mini - is the lamzu atlantis mini similar in size and shape? Tired of pulsars shit QC second time my mouse had double click within the year. Also if you know of any other mice that fit the bill lmk ill defo buy from a one of your links
The beast X fabulous beasts is a really dope mouse. Or you could try the atlantis mini or another new mouse that is about to drop (can't talk about it until this week)
@FreshReviewsYT ooo will prolly try the beast mouse, will keep an eye out for that mouse review too waiting on next check to before buying something new anyways haha
I’m deciding between a topping dx9 and a geshelli stack, I use mostly iems but I also use my HD 490 for extraction games and battle royales. is the sound Mostly the same?
Both great. I like the fact my DX9 is all in one - no XLR cables hanging off. I had to drop my geshelli because the USB chip does not encode properly on OBS
COD has different audio mixes in the settings. Did you just leave everything on default when testing?
Headphones (not PC speaker).
Also Valorant has a couple of audio options. If you make that video, it would be nice to understand if/how those have an impact or not
Hey fresh, if EM6L is here, will it be also on the supermix 4 line?? Is it more of a sidegrade for EM6L? Or a definitely upgrade from EM6L?
Depends what title you’re playing. It’s an upgrade for cod. For apex the Em6l is fine
@@FreshReviewsYT for valorant I know EM6L is already good, but is Supermix 4 gonna be a sidegrade or upgrade??
Hello can anyone tell if fresh reviews uses any audio software ex. Steel series sonic. Or is it just raw input. If so which software thanks
Looking to get the Truthear crinacle zeros for console gaming for warzone . Any recommendations for decent stand alone mics or mic attachments
If the elgato wave 3 works not a bad option
The goat of reviews!
Hey fresh! Looking for your opinion
For DACs I have the FIIO K5Pro ess and moondrop dawn pro.
IEMs I have the SuperMix, Performer 5 and Truthear red
In your opinion is this a good set up for Apex legends? Coming from NZXT z690 onboard audio. I’m a Gold/Platinum level player.
Would I see a substantial gain in performance from the DX3 Pro? Or is the difference not enough to warrant the purchase.
The rest of my set up is an Acer Predator 1440p 165hz monitor, 3080ti, i9-12900KF. Flydigi apex 4 controller.
What would you recommend be my next upgrade be
I’d try to get a 240-360hz monitor
Would you recommend to put high gain or low gain on a IEM? i have a Schiit HEL2E dac/amp
Low gain is fine. It’s worth testing though just to see if you hear any differences on whatever you’re driving. You’ll just have to adjust power of course
Please do the Chord Mojo 2 !!! Keep up the good work
Just came across your channel as looking to get some iem’s and honestly great content man. How is the crossover with cs2 and val as those are my main interests competitively?
I think all of my options that are b+ or above are typically good in all games
@@FreshReviewsYTAwesome, will take a deeper dive into those, thanks man
Fingers still crossed to hopefully see a review of the Audio-Technica R70x here one day 🤞🏻 lol it’s def a bit of an older headphone but I feel like its reputation for imaging & soundstage alone make it worthy of being checked out. Extremely curious to see how it stacks up against the 900 Pro X and 490 Pro
It’s not as good as the 900 or 490. I’ve tried it and wasn’t impressed coming from the 900/490
@@FreshReviewsYT Damn, then I guess the recent newcomers really are overtaking some old thrones, preciate the input on it.
Please just as a joke for me “best iems for sea of thieves”
Currently using splendor 2 and a smsl c200.
How does it sound!
@@FreshReviewsYThonestly… it’s pretty great. Small queues are heard without any issues. 100% overkill. I upgraded from an evo4 interface and hexa.
how are your IEM collab iem actually called? I cannot google them xd
For the yanyin cannon II where you using the tuning on them or both down?
Default. One up two down
Appreciate the comparo. Had a couple of these on my "tentative" wishlist already, but the Splendor 2 sounds like it might be exactly what I'm looking for. edit: The Arete has me curious too but it seems to be sold out.
It has not dropped yet - coming soon!
@@FreshReviewsYT word. I'll keep an eye out then :)
Which IEM would you recommend for Siege? Both in mid range and budget options
Yanying
how do the yanyin canon 2, xenns top and hype 4 compare? for gaming and music
Hey Fresh! Which do you prefer solely for music & entertainment, the Hype 4 or Yanyin Canon 2? Curious on your thoughts, also compared to the Supermix 4 if you have any!
For kicking back probably the hype 4
@@FreshReviewsYT appreciate it! best of luck with the arete, hopefully we get some reviews soon!
How would you rate the MOONDROP x Crinacle DUSK? Do you use the DSP cable or analog cable? And which cable did you prefer?
I could not get the DSP cable working properly on PC. Kept freezing my game
You reviewed truthear zero last year where do you put them now?
Check description. Still good
have you ever tested the Final Audio VR3000 ?
I hope the combo XENNS Top x iFi Zen Dac v3 is still in good performance for COD or is it as good as a yanyin canon 2?
Still very good. I just didn’t have my copy at the time of this video
Can't wait on the arete to show up. I hope it lives up to your expectations
Let’s go!
Any comments on the comfort of the supermix 4? I find the EW200 my most comfortable IEM I own so I’m hoping the supermix 4 will also be comfortable.
Yea it’s very comfortable
Awesome video Freshy!!!
Waiting for the Valorant one now haha
I’ve only ever used my 30$ steelseries headset so I don’t know much about audio terms but what would you recommend for me to get for general media usage/music and gaming (apex,ow2 and story games) in the 50-100$ range, there are so many great choices but I don’t know what is better for my case and I wanna get something that I won’t have to upgrade from anytime soon.
I’ve though of getting the hexa because people say it has clear sound, I assume that’s good for a mix of comp gaming, story games and music and media.
If you can go a little higher try the super mix 4.
The Arete is such a beautiful iem. You and Nacho really did amazing work on the design.
This one was all me and ziigaat 🙌🏽
@@FreshReviewsYT ah so it was just a post
@@flashjor98 yea haha. He had some beautiful pics tho!

How about Pula Pa02 do you think its good for console(ps5,ps4) gaming as well?
Haven’t used it
Hey Fresh, thanks for your hard work!
Got some questions if you happen to see this;
1. Do you EQ when playing Warzone on IEMs? Ex: Equalizer APO + Hesuvi / Peace
2. Do you upmix your in game output to a 7.1 surround sound via Hesuvi / Sonar / Sonic etc?
3. I just preordered the SuperMix 4. I see the impudence is a low 7. Do you recommend getting a DAC/AMP? If yes, which one? I was looking at the Topping DX3 Pro+.
All questions are to set myself to have the best competitive advantage in COD Warzone of course.
I don’t use an EQ or any windows surround sound. I do prefer a dac amp over on board audio. The dx3 is nice
Thanks for the speedy reply!
Will be getting that DX3 Pro+ to pair with the SuperMix 4.
What are your thoughts on ifi zen dac v2 and zen can paired with yanyin canon 2 for fps games?
Should be ok but the zen dac sounds a little compressed and a little extra warmth compared to other things.
On a scale for gaming, especially cod but just in general, would the difference be more noticeable between the orchestra lites and the 7hz sonus or the supermix 4? Like are they a lot better like that or just marginally better/diminishing returns?
doesn't matter, audio for gaming is 100% placebo and is 100% based off of the game's sound engine. if it produces stereo sound it will work
@@bluemangroup_1828 I completely disagree. I have the orchestra lites and the 7hz sonus and I can tell the difference in both music and gaming. It’s not huge but it’s definitely noticeable. I’ve been a studio got most of my life though so maybe that has something to do with it.
@@skwirl865 Well, the placebo effect is a real thing, and it's quite scary.
Sure in music it's 100% there. But in games? Everything's the same. If you're put in an environment full of people who believe something false (let's say for example that X device has less latency), you'll end up believing in it too.
@@bluemangroup_1828 if you think everything is the same, you’ve clearly not heard what bad game audio sounds like. Going from my sch9500’s to my sonuses was literally night and day.
It’s almost laughable to think all game audio is the same. You’re objectively wrong
The simgot supermix4 is just 139,99. What a value if it is that good in Cod. Probably the best iem of 2024 with that price.
Solid price
On what store??
@@equiknox_ Seems like they added 10Dollars couple hours after release. so now it is 149.. Maybe because of the hype and interest. Still a good price, but a weird and cringe move by simgot.
Im debating between buying the truthear hexa and the truthear zero which one do you think I should buy I mainly care about footsteps and I mainly play r6 siege
I would think the zero personally
Beaulo uses hexa so hexa lol
@@accountdeleted0x0 I haven’t tried either yet in siege tbh. But if daddy beaulo likes the hexa thats 🔥
The Massdrop x Sennheiser HD58x has an amazing gaming imaging, but I had to do a lot of EQ to fix the muffed sound signature. I wish to know how it compares to other headphones and IEMs if you have the chance to get one.
Take out the dampeners
One I got the OG Truthear zeros I never used my HD58x again. Even swapped out the foam dampers for a mesh like fabric for a little more bass. Now I use the OG Yanyin Canon.
@@flashjor98 Thank you. I just ordered the Zero Blue, I just want IEM with similar imaging of the HD58X, even tough HD58X is the most conformable headset, I still prefer IEMs for comfort and freshness. If that is not enough my last try will be Simgot EM6L.
@@flashjor98 Ok, you were right, after EQ calibration I now prefer the OG Truthear Zero over my HD58X. The imaging is equal (or even better), the sound quality is better, it's all I was looking for.
is the Fosi Audio k5 Pro Good Enough to pair with the truthear x Crinacle Zero (blue)?
Haven’t used it before tbh
@@FreshReviewsYT 😥 Thank you for noticing me btw :)
isn't 560s similar to 490 pro since they have the same driver and similar soundstage and imaging?
I don’t find them similar no. Just like IEMs that use similar dynamic drivers, they can sound completely different.
@@FreshReviewsYT no i mean from wallhack prospective
would you say that xenn tops perform a little better than canon 2's for warzone? ordered them today as i had a 180 usd discount on them
Haven’t tried them in cod but they should be great
@@FreshReviewsYT enjoying canons for music a lot but coming from 560s they lack the airiness that hopefully tops can provide
What keyboard is that?
hello I wanted to change my headphones now I have the g pro x wireless and I would like to take IM which should I take that it is better than my current headphones? I don't want to spend a lot
Sure. Truthear zero, supermix 4, or splendor II/Arete depending on your budget
@@FreshReviewsYT the supermix 4 is good for warzone and valorant?
hey man, do you know if theres any difference between the splendor ii and splendor soprano? coz i bought the wrong one
Not sure. Have not used the soprano
@@FreshReviewsYT thank you:))
Shame the buyer for my Xenns Top backed out or id have the Fiio FA19 right now. Im sure the Top is still just as good as the Canon II and I've been loving how immersive they are in Cyberpunk.
Powering them with the MoonDrop Dawn Pro no oversampling filter on my laptop.
Yea very good!
which one would you say is the most comfortable to wear for an extended amount of time?
Everyone is different. The only one that isn’t for me is the lite
I hope that one day you get to try the Elysian diva or anole VX
I’ve got simgot EML6 and crinacle zero in my draw which would be better for warzone? Thanks
Probably the zero for warzone
@@FreshReviewsYT what would you recommend as best budget IEM for warzone?
@freshREviewsdYT what best iem
for valorant?
Interesting top pick. So you don't think the supermix 4 and gl-amt15 aren't good enough for cod?
Yes they are. I have the supermix in the video. I don’t have my amt
@@FreshReviewsYT oh must have missed it. I really wanted to get the gl-amt after seeing your video but I'm not paying 900usd lol
@@TheNEOONE1 yea. Happy spot is around 250
So fresh, what would you recommend similar sounding to the Orchestra Lites but a smaller IEM? The size of the Lites are getting bothersome to my ears and I’m thinking of maybe getting a near pair
Agree, and no venting makes it cloggy over time. 😅
Best IEM around 20$ for overall gaming & some music including tac fps? noticed the HBB gone from tier list so i'm curious
Qkz hbb
hey fresh, just curious to ask what your main mouse and keyboard is?
Will have a video on that shortly
I mainly play Apex but,i have had the Ifi Zen stack for a while and just sold them as not much better than just plugged in to mic for me.Used money to get the Topping DX3 pro+ and i would recommend to anyone on the fence to go with the latter, night and day.Even with a £40 thruthear crinnicle blue soundstage is incredible, even above and below.I think this will make biggest difference to set up 1st,then upgrade iem whenever. My 5 cents lol,no audiophile
I agree. Can spend money on a great iem and it might not pay off if your amp dac is garbo
@@FreshReviewsYT i agreed with your point about the ifi sound and so took ur advice on the topping, wish i had earlier :) such a difference.ironically i have just sold my vulkans and canon 2's on ebay so will never know lol.Might wait for a ziigaat collab :)
@@FreshReviewsYT Update, just saw a pair of xenns top on ebay for 385 and couldn't resist at that price. They were the ones you suggested to me a few weeks ago but was umming and rring till i saw these, can't wait to pair with my topping!
So I have to buy a dac to fully utilize in ear monitors? Is it compatible with like game headsets too?
Compatible with headphones and IEMs. Headsets you’d need something with a mic input
The list of good dac`s for a great price is endless today. From JCALLY JM6 Pro for 12 dollars to moondrop dawn pro at 50 dollars to Topping dx1 at 99 dollars and further up. Just get something at ur budget and the form factor you like.
@@fakedcastle5950are there any good dacs compatible with console?
