You are winning bud, and your other channel is helping tens of thousands of Canadians realize that humanity is winning.
That's almost half a dozen packed stadiums ;D
You're a force of light, and you should be very proud of what you're accomplishing here✨
I've always wanted to do the Mt. Arrowsmith hike so this great vid is truly inspiring.
Thanks for all you do👍🏻
cheers
And yes, take your own advice. Seriously. Some of us can’t summit those mountains but long to see the beauty, for it restores the soul. By doing what you do with your equipment and talent and stamina, you’re helping us to take a deep breath, for another day.
Thank you.
Dude, I've been subscribed and loving Moose on the Loose for a few months now.... why am I just finding this channel now? Love it! I love that you talked about mental health. We don't do that enough. I've had some struggles and Mother Nature has saved me and helped me deal with internal struggles. I'm one of those who has difficulty talking about it and admitting it, so this meant a lot. Thank you for sharing.
men's mental health day was just on the 13th too. I was going to get this uploaded for then but had issues getting it out. Thanks for you support.
@@themooseonthelooseSo glad I found this channel as well David. It's so fun watching and also knowing your a proud Canadian as well. What mountains have you climbed in Alberta?
@@Alog74 Ha ling, Miners peak, carnarvon lake, pharaoh peak, moose mountain, moose mountain NE, theres a few others
@@themooseontheloose That's awesome man. It's absolutely amazing watching someone climb to the top. I cannot imagine the feeling and excilleration in that. Love your Channel. My new fave. Spent 2 solid hrs watching your vids today before I looked Ta the clock and realized shit. I better get to work.
@@Alog74 Cheers I appreciate that
CZcams doesn't pay for all the hard work, beautiful footage
No it does not! haha
“A setback only paves the way for a comeback” ~ Evander Holyfield
Great work! Keep going!
STELLAR, David!!! What an awesome climb! Thanks for taking us with you!
Both channels looking great. Genuinely delighted to see all your hard work paying off.
Take care of yourself David. Thanks for sharing this hike and toughts with us. Your shareing makes me feel like I am not alone. Love content on all your channels. Be careful, life can burn you out. Hike on and stay safe!!
Incredible. Thank you for showing our beautiful province. If I had one ounce of your bravery!
I'm originally from Vancouver Island, been 6 yrs ! Now I'm in oakville ON! Love your channels dude. Thx for your work David
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for sharing what you are going through personally, to be trusted, even just as a viewer, is an honor. For mental stress I do TRE, which I learned a long time ago before it became known. It releases the vagal nerve in the way I do it, and also reduces overall tightness of muscles. I learned it in a 6 week full time physical theatre course where I learned many skills for wellness in general. Great video making, ....looks like you have a fisheye lens...
That was fun, thank you for the video.
Brilliant filming and storytelling man, your content ja simply amazing!
Cheers buddy
Thanks so much for this. I can see Arrowsmith off in the distance from my house in the Comox Valley. I've passed by so many times. Now I want to make the summit. Excellent footage David.
I live in the area and have a business in Coombs and I get that great view of Mt. Arrowsmith everyday. I've been looking at maps and trying to figure the best way up but I don't know what I'm doing, not as experienced a hiker as you so I'll be joining a few others to do it this summer that have been, can't wait, just looks awesome.
Beautiful place the trail is great always stick to the trail. You got this
I never realized you had this channel. Love your other one. Spectacular footage! Never let darkness extinguish your spark.
Beautiful hike and cool F150 truck! Thank you for everything that you do!
I have had the pleasure of going in the next two hikes with him. I literally dragged him through hell and back and for the most part, he did it with a smile on his face. Dave is built different.
We love you David, thanks for your genuine content and personal transparency, we are all behind you, keep up the good fight! ❤Alberta
cheers
My brother who is from Edmonton thinks your awesome, moose on the loose is his favourite channel on CZcams because of your laughter and unique way of describing things. I told him that you came over for the hedge clippers like 10 minutes before he arrived. He pulled up moose on the loose and asked if it was you. He was so disappointed he missed the chance to meet you. You’ll build your business up bigger and stronger, I know it. If you need someone to hike with that will just listen and not judge please message me.
oh cheers ya those hedge clippers worked out well! Blackberries needed to be tamed. I'm glad your brother likes the channel, I'm more or less just running my mouth and laughing at he sad state our country is in, only way to get through it.
Wholey Moley, David!!!! Awesome!
Hey -- just discovered your hiking channel. Nice to see you up at our old ski slope!
Great video ❤
Glad to see you escape the madness that we all found ourselves living in today.
Nothing like a good hike to ease the mind and soul.
Thanks so beautiful.
Amazing drone shots. I better hike this one soon before it deteriorates even more! That dry dirt can be so slippery and dangerous. Glad you made it out of there in one piece and on time.
Amazing! I listen and watch everyday, keep it up!
Moose on the Loose. Love your channel David Good climb Buddy
Spectacular views. I appreciate your effort David. Your cinemagraphics are priceless. I would not be able to do what you are doing with respects to heights and precarious climbing. Stay strong, you are positively influencing others with these videos.
Geez Dave, that plane wasn't low. You are up high! Lol. Thanks for the great video. I've walked the lower paths of Arrowsmith.
Thank you so much for this! I am moving to Port in a month and have been looking for a good guide on a rope less climb of Arrowsmith. Great quality too
That is beautiful, good on you!
Love both of your channels
Absolutely excellent video. Loves your honesty about mental health too.
Hi I watch Moose on the loose everyday. I just subscribed to this channel. What a hike!
Awesome video. I miss the Mountains too.
Thanks for the video
Looks like you Live in Port Alberni been there many times .Arrowsmith is a craggy mountain mid Island not the highest but it has a prominent summit. The view is worth the climb.
The title of this video has a meaning to you, you went on this hike for a reason... I've been there, I am there and the ending of this video is throwing me back down a spiral.. I hope your ok
I'm at 10' mark & yelling "MOOSE. GO BACK!" Was calmly viewing your 'Bombshell' vid; watched your sea kayaking episodes, and NOW THIS!! It's 2230 hrs in MB and I may not sleep!!! But given that you've still posting I'm sure it'll turn out ok. This is like Mayday.
haha
Great video. You did an amazing job. Keep up taking care of yourself, and great things will be on your way for sure.
One of the best hiking videos on the Tube! Looks tempting, not sure if I will be up for it. I will try 5040 first. I think I'd bring a tent and not race the gate if I try Arrowsmith.
Wow I was wondering why I didn't see your videos pop up anymore. Today I saw you and saw 8k, and I thought hmmm didn't you have more than that? Glad you're back. You've inspired me to do lots of hiking when I move from Ontario - and I'm driving to the island next week! I can't wait to go to some of the places you've shown - not this one though, too scary!
Great work, man!!
I hiked this once and would like to do it again. Thanks
Inspiration! Thanks!
Praying 🙏
love your vids, we have had to postpone our trip to calgary for an entire year, as the Stampede is driving up costs during our week off this summer, so another year of watching you hike, before I get to try out some of these mountain trails myself with my brother!
Serious water issues in calgary and with the stampede now too
Van island is my fav place in the entire world! I miss it 😞
its an amazing place
Used to have snow up top, all year.
That looks so much scarier than the hikes you & I went on. Great video. Thank you for showing me the sides of Arrowsmith I near knew.
I did Arrowsmith around 2012 in 35 degree heat and blazing sun. It damn near killed me.
Thanks for the great video , its been about 15 years since i got up arrowsmith (cloudy) was great to see it with the amazing drone footage!
Great video!
Great video David! I love the drone shots and talk about mental health too!
its really an unusual mountain to film, if you're going to fly up there make sure it is not a windy day otherwise it's quite possible the drone will get blown away. Because the walls are vertical there are massive updrafts that can flip the drone too.
Awesome 👍
Thanks David, I’ve always enjoyed your videos. You’re so real, and love listening to your commentary. It’s nice to have you share about mental health as well.Sorry about your camera and drone though.
Waaaay back in my early 20’s we climbed a mountain in Alberta (on shrooms😂) even the little rocks gain momentum rolling and could delete you.. or so it seemed lol
I’ve been worried we are going to lose you like so many other channels covering the current events.. but this is definitely good for the soul ❤ I’ve subbed to your 3rd channel.. are you hiding anymore? I’d like to just sub them all now 😂
So full of life you are! I love watching your videos. I was commenting on this video while I was watching the very end and so right you are. I will be contacting mental health on Monday. You are a great guy. Take care of yourself to and stay safe. Thank you and never think you have to do dangerous or things you wouldnt normally do while hiking. We will watch you anyways.
Yes please do. I nearly bit the dust twice even after filming this video so make sure you stay on top of it. My original plan was to livestream on top of the peak with a 48 hour deadline to jump off if YT didn't reinstate my illegally deleted channel but something in my gut told me to be patient for just a little bit longer. I didn't put any of that stuff in the video, it's too much for the audience i think so I cut all of it down to the base storyline. Fast forward 2 months later i decided to start making political videos and fast forward to today I'm one of the top most viewed political channels on youtube. I don't know how that happened, I'm grateful, I just listened to what my gut was telling me. It's important to listen to the gut and not the hurt, the gut is logical, the hurt is not.
Thank you and stay strong. You are doing amazing!
Thanks for posting, more enjoyable then corrupted Justin T videos ;)
Ya unfortunately counting on CZcams google isn’t a good plan guess this is why so many channels have duplicates on other platforms
The gate is government answer for your safety 😂 see how well that works 😂
I have been watching these…
David, you may or may not know about Job in the Bible. Read his book in the old testament and see how satan hates humans and attacks us. I have been through hell again and again... Lost and started over three times. When you serve God, you get attacked like it says in Revelation twelve and thirteen... Hang in there Bud, you are a man after my own heart, we think alike, and your Moose on the Loose is absolutely amazing. Keep it up man.
WTF dude... why do I look forward to all your vids?
It must be my tantalizing hair 😆
Me too. Especially the next few. 😆
What are those dongles they have solar power maybe for light navigation and air traffic ?
Moose on a mountain🤙
Love your videos. Do you do this alone?
This gives me anxiety, I dont hike at all. I could do a beginner trail for sure, but never in a million years could or would I want to do this. Hats off sir. How in the hell do you get down??!! Safely
one step at a time
Looks like a path you can only see when you are standing there from here I can't see it at all.
AhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhooooooooOOOOHHH! I think that's the noise moose make?
have you ever driven the logging road from Port Alberni Valley to Royston . It used to be another route to miss the Hump near Cathedral grove.
That was all dug up just the other side of the pass through the Beauforts 20 years ago. Is it passable again? Aside from a trail bike or quad.?
@@helgabruin2261 I know people who have used it in an emergency
Ever considered hang gliding from the top?
They should make it so you can’t get in but you can get out.. that’s dangerous
I feel like you're gonna be one of those CZcamsrs that took one too many chances 😮
Could be, I'm ok with that.
@@IdRatherBeHiking Experience life. No one can say they had a boring life. Cheers!
If so, it will be worth it. Chances are, we are going to die doing something we love. Are you?
Great video, thanks! Is this a canadian thing with these gates? Doesn’t make much sense…
May I ask where can a fello purchase the sun shield your wearing around your neck?, great video.
its this one: amzn.to/45yec9R
@@IdRatherBeHiking Thank you muchly.
if you ever want to spend more time back there! let me know .... i have keys!!
Have you done arrowsmith via the CPR?
I don't have the skillset for that. Some serious class 4 and 5 climbing to connect off of cokely up the bumps to arrowsmith.
Really like your videos. Why did you take so long to post this very good adventure? Surprised you don't wear gloves on rocky terrain
I haven't been up there since 1982 ... I'm gonna have to do it soon before the years run out 🤔
I normally wear gloves but it was really hot. These take a lot of time and I make next to nothing posting them. I switched to gear videos which do make money and I make political videos on Moose on the Loose now. Once my work for the day is done then I chip away at these videos. If they ever start making money they they'll get more priority time spent on them.
David when on your climbing trips do you ever come across any rattle snakes…..and l must say l enjoy your videos but they look really dangerous.
Oh sweetheart my posts aren’t showing up
Aren’t. You the guy from the political channel? Awesome!
I want to do this hike soo bad, but I dont know a single person on this island nor do i have a vehicle..... would someone be willing to car pool? I'll pay for gas!!!! please
Ever run into one them big hairy critters they say are out there? I don't mean Phil Robertson, I mean one them boys they call Bigfoot and such. Folks go out hunting and fishing and catch a glimpse. Smell like they been back of your fridge for a year. Just be careful, heard they can get antsy at times, if you know what I mean.
Wherever you hike in BC you can find Chinese spy 😂
Be careful u or your dog doesn’t get any ticks
That's not my dog, just some random dog haha
