Originally a hit for Link Wray in 1958. Why didn't they include this piece in the movie soundtrack album? Hey, it's still not too late to reissue this.
From one of my favorite directors, Walter Hill. I can't understand why he doesn't get more recognition and respect as a filmmaker. Granted, his work may seem derivative to some critics, but so are the films of Quentin Tarantino, and yet, Tarantino is considered a "genius ". It's really unfair.
My favorite version of this song. Why? I like the slow methodical pace. The clean Ry electric guitar sound and what sounds like a stacked piano to balance and add to the guitar notes. This song paints the perfect audio backdrop to this scene in this excellent film. MP3 this would be perfect. Thanks Ry. Nice.
I never saw this movie, and when the guy punched Rick Moranis I thought for a split second that it was Bill Murray, but then I looked again and realized that it was Lee Ving.
I want this version of this song sooooooo fucking bad!!! Why the hell doesn't Ry Cooder have this on any of there albums?...Does this version of "Rumble" exist anywhere on the planet?.....Can somebody with editing equipment remove the talking and sound effects from this video and just have the music???? I have to have this song before I die one day.
@shadowman2192 I am sure you can, you would need a video and audio program that could isolate the different tracks from sounds, to the music to the effects...not sure what excatly, but it would be more then likely post production editing suite or something like that. Sorry took me a while to get to you. Thanks.
@GSMovieMemories I guess i'll just have to give up on this song, why the hell would Ry Cooder do a version of this song and it not be on the soundtrack or any of there albums? it doesn't make sense.

@Aaahjah This song is called "Rumble" by Ry Cooder also known as The Ry Cooder Band.
My favorite Movie....a real oldschool herostory !
Best scene of "bad boys" ever!
@Aaahjah Its featured in the diner scene in Pulp Fiction, but the music over the intro is 'Misirlou' by Dick Dale.
Also done by the Dave Clark 5 on their second album around '65
