Same here. One of my all time favorite movies and soundtracks. Now it’s one of my 9 year old daughters favorite movies. I had to buy it on iTunes so we could watch it on a plane to visit my mom in Florida and she fell in love with it. These critics robbed us of the pleasure of enjoying the following films. My opinion is that they were merciless with it because they did not receive bribes to criticize it well, since it is a rock jewel and an excellent movie.

It might have been cool to mix-and--match the crews from "The Warriors" into this world as well - imagine the Gramercy Riffs as a force in this world.
It was disappointing to read about this movie and the way the producers disowned it and threw Pare and others to the wolves when it didn't quite catch. Chalk it up to two junior producers trying to claw their way out of a disappointing (but visionary and interesting) effort but I hope it's a regret for them.

Everyone speaks about Diane Lane and I can definitely understand that ;-)
But am I the only one with a crush for Deborah van Valkenburgh who plays Tom Cody's sister ? I find her so sweet and charming in this movie.

Gracias, Walter Hill!...Gracias Chicos. Abrazos a Todos..."

One of my all time favourites. I love the rock opera/musical genre; Tommy, Rocky Horror, The Wall, Jesus Christ Superstar, Little Shop of Horrors, etc. Though sometimes, the acting doesn't match the music, I think taken as a whole entity rather than just certain aspects, these movies entertain me to no end
