      hey... just out of curiosity... why not run it from the top? I've found that its easier and have options for any future remodeling you may want by going through the top. Plus you wont have any wires running across the wall, in case you want to put a nails, screws or whatever. I've seen cases where people have paid the price for doing work like this. Didn't end well as you can imagine. Please remember where the wires are. Be careful. Take care! Keep working hard and smart! Never give up! Have a blessed life! -J

    Awesome job guys. It looks good. I think paneling is the best idea. It's lighter, easier to work with, won't crack, and holds up better against moisture- perfect for a shed conversion. Great start on the electrical.

    • @sam-and-angela
      @sam-and-angela  Před 3 lety +3

      Well that settles the debate then! LOL The paneling is twice the price right now over drywall (eek), but really does have better qualities! Angela wins. Hahaha :)

    • @diyfferent
      @diyfferent Před 3 lety +1

      @@sam-and-angela It may be twice the price, but it's half the work since you don't have to mud it. :D
      I know someone who did drywall in a shed and the seams are cracking from the shed settling.

    Just a little tip, cut a piece of wood the height of your outlets and switches make sure it’s square and go around and mark all of the outlets and switches. No measuring needed. Your building is not to big so I guess it probably didn’t take you to long but when your doing a basement, addition, or house it saves a ton of time. Thank you for sharing your video.

    Friends by electric code they require a discount on your water heater so a technician can work on it if need be but you’re case y’all can slide some 1/2 flex over the wire and into the wall and then into top of the WH just for protection of the wire also don’t forget countertop plugs should be gfci protection

      The actual clicking of the 'like' or 'dislike' buttons do not affect the revenue of a video. The only metric it has influence over (and of exactly how much is unknown) is the likelihood of CZcams to suggest the video to other people to watch it. There are other stronger metrics that drive this suggestion part which are better in our opinion. Watch time, audience retention, etc. There's actually a lot of good tools for creators to see how their videos are (or aren't) performing well. :) We don't like being that pushy or begging of sorts for the likes and telling people to subscribe. We do it some, but it's not something we drive home in every video. :) We figure if people like it, they'll click the buttons. Thank you so much for caring enough to say so! And for being a channel member!

    Loved the music What Shall We Do With A Drunken Sailor. Haven't heard that in a long time. I thought the fiddler was really good. A really old old tune that is. Maybe just install a switched outlet in the ceiling for the lights. Most all shop type lights have a provision to just plug them in and LED type are daisy chained one to another. But if you are planning an enclosed ceiling and to use recessed can lights then you need more planning into the separate locations. You might also consider outside electrical needs like an outlet and service light.

    • @sam-and-angela
      @sam-and-angela  Před 3 lety

      We're going to be using some recessed LED lights originally purchased during our kitchen renovation in here. We debated a few times on whether to go wired vs. wireless for the outdoor lighting and decided to go the wireless route (battery or solar) for a few reasons.
