Just discovered string bands on CZcams this week, it’s so uplifting and a fun thing to watch with all the turmoil going on in the world. I’m from Canada, and I have always thought the U.S.has the best marching bands, choreography etc.
Jimmy Good has become so much more smooth , self-assured, and professional over the past several years. Also, the "whistle guy" does such a good job of directing the group.

Having no background in String Bands, I have been watching videos of several of the musical groups. To my untrained eye, it appears the QCSB and the Fralinger String Band are the cream of the crop. It takes some good competition to bring out the best in anyone. QCSB is my #1, but Fralinger is just good enough to keep you from getting "cocky" !!! 😂
I'm really enjoying the performances of this band. I've never seen a marching string band, though it does have a lot of saxophones. I'm reminded of Drum Corp of the 1980's by the performance level.
A uniformed string band without costumes! Never saw the like. Interesting to see the chief "strut" holding an imaaginary umbrella. Gotta say they sound pretty tight.

Amazing......the band plays really well and Jimmy adds to that as he is all smiles and you cannot be in the dumps after you heard this wonderful song.
