I was in a corner as Mona in her water form when a keya joined me, said in the secret chat he'd bolt if the hunter came and when they hunter activated the wish he bolted and drew attention away from me long enough for the light pillar to go away and I safely went somewhere else and won the game. Seeker passed somewhat close to me several times so I was stressing

Same here, but with undisguised Venti. I couldn't figure out how to disguise for the whole three minutes, I was so scared that the "attacks" might be too flashy and I'd get caught. Tbh, I was super surprised that the bright green cloak wasn't a dead giveaway for the hunter, but I was the sole survivor somehow. To be fair, in addition to cowering in the grapevines, I was shoving myself very close to the corner of the map, and most hunters I've seen don't look in the map edges.
Sometimes changing spots can be a bit more effective than staying in the same one, or just run like a game of tag. Though its mostly a chance that you, the rebel will get caught.
Here’s a tip for hunters in this map: before the game starts, open paimon menu and use camera, zoom out as much as possible and you can see everything ( can be applied to all maps, actually, just most recommended for this map )

I actually did something like this and needless to say I almost got away with it every time. Being the last one alive and the hunter using their burst always screws me over. There was one round where I evaded Childe hard but still got caught in the last actual second (I was using Qiqi). Nonetheless it was really fun and really funny seeing people pass by me or get confused when their skill is pointing to that direction then capturing everything but the place I was at.
Oh i used this spot too but recently i just use qiqi and act like im going uphill but will actually take a u-turn till i go down to the lowest level of the area and stay close to the pretty high walls (for qiqi at least)
I remember when the hunter spotted me at the tree at the hills in Liyue. I just flew to the next tree when he started climbing it. Poor guy was so confuse. But I unlocked no-disguise mora bonus. Lol. Haha
When i played today the hunter passed right next to me and climbed right behind me so many times... And it was a mona making all of this even more stressing
Funniest thing that happened to me : a hunter didn't catch the three of us and then in the chat he said "wait until a catch the favor haha", I said "not if I catch it first". Seconds later the favor popped and I ran for and I snatched it from the hunter. Now the only thing that makes me play the event is stealing the favor, the adrenaline you feel when you do it is just insane.
My 1st game was there with Barbara and I went transparent right off the bad, climbed up and looked for a bush to hide into... The hunter actually ran right above me but didn't even realize.
One time as hunter I jumped from the roof of a building in Springvale, and I thought I saw Diona’s pink head (it was btw) But I just chose to ignore it and kept moving to find the others, like whatever that hider is doing go figure I guess
At this point, not being in disguise is more effective than being in disguise
So true, I rather hide than just hide in disguise because it's either they're ineffective or the map are just to plain/flat.
plus, hunters probably looking for stuff in disguise, not just plain ol players
Whether you're in disguise or not, once the hunter gets a favor they can track you down right away.

I tried being Qiqi while hiding in a bush, I forgot that I had Endora so I got found instantly.
I hid behind a tree as Diona.. man walked up to the tree like 4 times he was practically on top of me on the mini map.
