when I started in 2009 Golem tower was the crappiest place to go 1st. Later revamps have made it nearly a breeze. Also,if you use the recall feature makes it much easier to accomplish at lower levels, just remember to keep an eye on the timer the 1st time you use the dungeon recall feature.
This was literally bringing me back to my childhood. I remember being on my first wizard (fire) and hysterically crying because I had done it so much. My dad was the one who got me through that lmao.
I started playing w101 around thanksgiving in 2008. So I was 9. Man, when I started, pets were not a thing. Especially a pet that gives you a card. We didn’t have wands with zero pip spells. And the only stuff I wore was something I bought at the robe shop and ALL of my clothes matched. That fucking tower took so long. And I was so sad my friend couldn’t even teleport to me to help me. It took foreverrrrrr. Fast forward to 2 weeks ago. I’m 23 now and married, and my husband had never gotten to play past the free stuff as a kid. But now we’re adults. With adult money. So we started completely over. I chose fire once again, and this time I was fucking ready. I had been playing off and on for 6 years and I was level 70ish when I originally quit. So I was ready for this tower. So my husband did it first with his death wizard. He didn’t die the whole time. MY DUMB WEAK SELF STILL DIED FOUR TIMES IN THAT FUCKING TOWER. I waited until we were literally done with nightside before I went back and actually beat it. I was so piss that I just gave up until I was too high of a level for it to even matter 😂 He made fun of me so much. Oh well. Now we’re facing a lot harder stuff 😵💫 makes this tower look like nothing.
We’re playing it now and I am just so shocked with the teleport things, and the dungeon recall thing. I feel so old when I tell him “back in my day. We didn’t have this fancy stuff. This is almost like cheating!”

I was the same as you with the original Golem Tower. I read dialogue as a kid so I knew how to use two pip spells but every time I got a gear drop I instantly sold it. I also trained really dumb spells. So yeah I’m level 10 baby wizard was still rocking the summon in screen outfit. I finally realized it was a gear issue on my 30th run through of the tower when I just lucked out and beat the full dungeon. I didn’t swear at my screen but I few pillows did suddenly find their way to the trash can from being torn to shreds.
After my first experience with golem tower, I refuse to do the quest on other characters lol it's really annoying that the quest makes you go out of the tower to come back in and go out and come back in and than finally go in and have to get to the final boss while hoping you don't die...
Oh, yes, I did enjoy the video. Now, as for me, the rare-ass child with anger issues that bites the uncles and had a smol mental illness we didn't know about at the time, I surprisingly never ever raged in Wizard101 as a smol bean. I die, die again, die again again, die again again again, but I just come back again and again lol. I don't know how, cuz today I keep shouting cuz how every single mobs -80% the turn I aoe lol. edit* I managed to beat Golem tower first try ever in my life. Then, even at lvl like 22, I couldn't beat it. I guess the luck of the noobs

golem tower was IMPOSSIBLE for me as a kid. makes me really nostalgic to think about how much i suffered against it

As a kid I: Focused on health, used random spells, had storm as a secondary school as balance, died at least 40 times before I finished golem tower
As a kid I understand the cards easily, I did have anger issues tho, and being death as my main I kinda had a easy time in golem tower at level 10
This was me but with the old dungeon you had to do to get into celesta
After 10+ years I still have PTSD from Golem Tower, I haven't played it since. lol
