Simple DIY Woodworking Gift Idea: The 3-Piece Burr Puzzle

I'm continuing with my kick of making small projects after the large wall cabinet I just finished. This time around I built this 3-piece burr puzzle. It is a really simple and easy project that could be a great last minute gift for someone.
I'm a big fan of puzzles like these and I also enjoy having something to tinker with when I'm sitting at my desk during work so this was a perfect project to give my hands something to fidget with! Looks pretty cool sitting on my desk too!

Nice delicate chisel work. Strong enough to chop through cross grain, soft enough to not break the piece. I always appreciate the sight of cross grain chisel cuts leaving clean faces. Same as planing endgrain.
