I always thought no one was better than Eminem at being the premier wordsmith , then I discovered Ren. He is a once-in-a-lifetime artist who really has no equal in his versatility in expressing his feelings, and in doing so expressing many of ours.

My conclusion is this : all artists which I’ve listen to before they blew up in recognition I’ve had the same thought… that person’s music is under recognized… it happened with Sia when she was with Zero 7 and before. I knew about Muse way back when on their first album. I loved Head and The Heart especially before they became mainstream. Must not loose the Soul! I am impressed with how many solid songs you have released. No way a one hit pony… I commend your over an hour of an album on Sick Boi. lol some artists end up with albums of 34 minutes. I love that soulful sound in Ocean as much as the gritty stuff in Sick Boi. Love the blends which merge style and bring texture. You cooked up awesome auditory meals. All digestible while being deep. Thank you for the pallet cleanser of What You Want in Sick Boi. It stands out but it’s ok. It’s a celebration of life and it’s quickly become a fave of mine.

i was recently introduced to the Ren rabbit hole by a friend. its great. but i heard this tune a week ago and the intro hooked me. it took me a week to realise it sounds like the jamie cullum hook in the deltron 3030 tune do you remember. this fellas influences are on point. he is not fucking around. he's the real deal. brilliant
