I like that you're going to a schedule for your video drops. That makes it easier for me to remember to watch out for them. RVs/campers are the most expensive pieces of por craftsmanship junk produced! It's amazing they make it on the road. However.. good parts are in some places, and you're using them. Correcting what should have been there from the beginning. Awesome building!

Thanks! Yes it will go down because it will pivot off the front axle. That is why I was measuring off the front of the step. The back will drop a lot more than the front

The geometry of that front end was really not what I expected- even at the top or bottom of your set up, the tires never adopt a really radical camber angle, and it looks like it will be drivable in either case. More awesome going in! Connor is really looking to pull his weight, and it looks like you are beginning to trust him even on the trickier parts- go for it Connor! Btw, Happy Birthday, Anthony!

Thought...Add the spacer metal you want between rocker pinch weld and step.
You could but you would have to rework mounting brackets and then the lower fender would need stretched as well

For those really cruddy parts I use a bucket or a tub with water and Hotsy Ripper2 soap and just let them soak for a while.
I'll have to look into that!
I also mix it1 cup soap to 1 gallon of water and put it in a weed sprayer to wash the underside of my semi.
They do have a ripper 3 I haven't messed with it but the salesman said it was some nasty stuff
Looks great 👍 You can fab a front splitter for under the bumper for additional ground effects and run the exhaust under the step and down the side for ground effects as well. Add like a perforated cooling shield to the exhaust to protect it and getting in and out without getting burnt. Question about the rear bags. Are they going to work as a air ride... load leveling ? Or just air bags for ride hieght and parked hieght ? Looking great so far. Looking forward to seeing what's next. Almost wish it had a 12 valve and manual transmission....
The bags look great. The only thing I would suggest is to invert the bolt and nut at 20:38 so the threads are nowhere near the bag when compressed.
Even compressed they're a mile away so we're good

Are you happy with the wheel placement in the front fender opening? Looks like the wheel is too far back, but that may be just the angle of the video.

Hey Anthony,
Good to see work progressing on Hank.
This body style is kinda slabby, so adding to the bottom of the step is going to ad to that.
But, What if you punch medium to large dimple holes in that skirt under the step ?
In my minds eye, it looks cool and helps to eliminate that slab look.
If you use the lip already at the bottom of the step as a bolt on mounting flange then roll an oppicide flange on top of the skirt you make as well as around the bottom to emulate the step bottom.
Then if the skirt is damaged in use, you can un bolt it and make a new smaller part rather than the entire step being damaged.
Rolling a bead around the panel will ad strength as well as look great.
And if you install LED string lights behind and above the holes, instant cool !

I have a Airstream Motorhome on a P30 chassis with self adjustable air ride, it has the same inner spring bags in the front and the rear they just cut the rear half of the spring off and put an airbag mount on it, I can’t believe the original owners drove it over 100,000 miles like that with no panhard bar or third link, I agree that most campers are built like crap, the only good part is the GM chassis

Hello Anthony, I been looking at the air bags that you are using/ the ones in your link and wanted to know if I use just these two bags what air compressor do I need. As I was looking on Amazon, I came across a combination of air compressor & tank, VEVOR 12V Air Compressor with Tank 0.8 Gallon/3 L, Train Horn Air Compressor, 120 psi Working Pressure Onboard Air Compressor System($64.99) and the other one is VEVOR 150PSI DC 12V Air Compressor with 6 Liter Tank 1.6 Gallon for Train Horns Motorhome Tires, Inflator Air($89.47). In your opinion which one would best to use or should I invest in just a compressor and build my own tank?
I don't know anything about the Vevor compressors but I'm guessing by the size of the tanks that they are going to be to small. 3 gallon tanks are pretty small for most cars. I have one like this on Old Crow amzn.to/4cCfHWZ with a 3 gallon tank. 2 of them on Hookers and Blow with a 10 gallon tank

I'd cut that shock mount off, and re-weld it with some decent penetration! [ we call those "birdshit welds" over here!]
