Interdimensional Piglin Bartering Farm - Legacy SMP #23 (Multiplayer Let's Play) | Minecraft 1.16

- Today we build a Piglin bartering farm to get all the great items they drop. The problem with bartering farms is how to deal with all the items they produce when you want to get them all sorted. We build a new way to process these items in the overworld where we have access to flowing water.

Amazing job! Keep it up :D
Very cool overflow contraption, will definitely use this in my farms!
i made a tutorial on it
check it
I love how you explain things in a way that even total redstone noobs like me understand it
Using soul sand instead of nether rack for fire place, you will have more room for chests.
dear logic i watched you when your chanel was called one the road to hermitcraft .
even then i thought you were too good to be a hermit !.
i am an old school mincrafter [ 7 years play time ]
i play on a small white listed server now .
and i have never seen any minecraft player do what you do .
i am the king on the server i play on . but i'm no way as awesome as you are sir !
idk why you don't have 6 million subs m8 !
Thanks for the kind words! Making videos for people like you makes it all worthwhile. Thanks for being here so long! Cheers!
Dude I don't even know what to say... your videos are just incredible you deserve more credit! :)
is no one talking about 400 levels
Wither skeleton farm
He is able to get to 400 in less than an hour.
Logan Toth that’s not much tbh
Still gonna be a decent waste if he dies with it all. Just because you _have_ an OP farm doesn't mean you want to have to spend time grinding it. This is why we need to be able to craft bottles o' enchanting already. Wouldn't even be hard. They could literally just have you put glass bottles into an enchanting table and spend xp and lapis to fill them. Doesn't even have to be a 100% return on your XP investment. I'd settle for the xp value of a bottle being 80% of the crafting cost.
And before anyone hits me with this argument, I know players as good as LGB really don't have to worry about dying that much; this is for the rest of us.
@@johnnyandtheavariciousvoid8560 I disagree, bottles o enchanting should remain a treasure item. I do wish they wouldn't cap the amount of xp dropped when a player dies. I lost 700 levels the other day I was building up from afk farming to do some bulk anvil book combining. Only picked up 7 levels 😭
Speaking of building more - how about hiding the enddragon killing mechanism in some kind of Stormcloud, tnt would be like lightning striking down on the dragon, or the mario cart floaty cloud guy that pulls you back up after you fell down the road on top of the cloud? :-D
The guy is called Lakitu :)
this is by far the best idea for piglin bartering stations i've seen so far
Just started your Let’s Play series and it’s amazing to see how far you’ve come since episode 001! Love your work, man!
All this fire! Cacti don't get enough love as an "infinite write-only storage solution" that doesn't set things on fire unless fire spread is explicitly turned off.
Yeah I tried that but you can’t put them next to each other. Only the composters are close enough to catch fire so if fire tick is on I could use droppers for lag reduction I guess.
you're great i've learned so much about moving mobs from watching you and its made it so much better. love the vids cant wait to see what you have cooked up
Wow! As always you set the bar! Amazing work and brilliant design!
Closing in the 100k subs mark! I'm so happy to see your channel grow so much, you absolutely deserve it!!
These videos are so entertaining to watch! Would love some more server mate interactions too
again logic you make me lose my mind with all of this craziness, amazing as always!
I love how he explains things well, unlike other CZcamss. Keep it up! Love your content!
Logic you are really legend.I found a friend on a multi-player server and we both watch your videos and make farms together. Nice vids
Wow, I really appreciate the effort that you do on the end rainbow road. It's so cool!👍👍👍
What is it for?
@@imsmn815 watch the other video so you know hahaha lol
thanks ma dude, exactly what I asked for
Zigy Nicht LP it’s for villager trading
I'm glad to see that you're using the method I talked about implementing from the wither skeleton farm issues I was having. Sorting in the overworld just simplifies the building process so much. Way less time spent paralleling and subdividing hopper chains in the nether and generally a lower foot print.
By the way, I really dig where you went with the item sorters. Makes a lot of sense for a farm like this with so many different items.
Good work with the bottomless sorter. I spend ages looking for a compact or tileable design to do something like this. Ended up designing my own but yours is much more elegant. Good work
Never seen your overflow system, sounds great, ill be adding to my existing piglin farm
Great vid logic! I would love to see a separate video on the concept for the bartering farm :))
This is just awesome, I actually built this too with a small adjustment in the nether I put the Piglins on trap doors so their head hit the portal and they still can't get out :)
super neat! well explained too!
I watched it twice! I really wish you upload more frequently 😭. I understand that to have a top notch quality of content, it requires longer time of creation and you tube is not you full-time job I understand all of that. What I am really trying to say is I enjoy watching your videos, I love the quality and there's so much progress on it. 🥰
Awesome design and video!! Keep it up!
Although I think this is a really smart design for piglin bartering, I am concerned that all those entity collisions in only a 2 block area will cause massive amount of lag which is especially concerning because you are in a server.
I saw Gnembon doing several experiments and he found that having too many entities in one area massively increases the ticks required to process something in the server. Although, this experiment was done couple years ago, this rule should still apply (correct me if I am wrong). Normally, for a mob farm where we kill the mob, we arent concerned about collision because we eventually kill them, but with piglins, they are going to be there forever so they will always be consuming the server's resources.
Solution: make the area for the piglins larger by expanding the width of the portal in the nether. Also separate each piglin so that they don't have their hitbox colliding with another piglin (maybe using fences between each piglin). This should reduce/eliminate the collisions between piglins which would help with the lag.
if you use veins(?) mob collision shouldnt be a problem
@@adrianbonski1849 vines
Yes, vines help.
not a problem 18 entitys put through a portal into a sorting system is the way to go .
@@colinvanful Honestly, even with portal search using the POI system now, loading additional chunks in the overworld (where there are passive mobs) and having that many items cycle around in a water stream is likely more expensive than the few entity collisions. I did a test recently to see how bad my "cow pit" (24 mooshrooms in a 1x1 hole) affects performance compared to cows on separated individual glass blocks, and it's not that bad anymore.
love this series
Love the bottomless sorter!
Nice overflow detection, I'm thinking it could be routed to massive bulk storage for my needs. Love the content
Another fine tutorial as always!
I am wondering if you could combine a bartering farm with your wither skull farm. Meaning, put a mini-bartering station at the portals with the piglin so that the bartered items come through the portals with the wither skeletons. That way bartering and skull hunting takes place at the same time. Cheers!
Hey Logic, love the intro music - its just a tad loud, makes it harder to understand you when you talk and the music is still playing. :-)
Had to focus to understand you - just a little feedback =)
Nice video like always ! If you want you can sort the boots from piglins with armorstands, and like that all the items can be sorted
Nowadays logic has become my most favourite CZcamsr
I like the idea of the bottomless sorter even if its usually simply solved simply by a non-stackable item sorter at the end of the sorting system.
That doesn't work for water streams, though. The point of water streams is to be able to overcome hopper speed for the total item flow, whereas non-stackable filters explicitly require individual items coming in at hopper speed. The point of the "bottomless" item filters is to never have them clog up so they can keep pulling the items from the water stream reliably.
Yeah, I could see a use for the books, the boots, not so much, but having soul speed on some netherite boots, notta bad thing to stock in the shop. *nodnod*
u have the best guides, nobody goes fully into their guides like you, good job, keep it up 👌🏻
Ethanx gnembon does.
@@m1iles true, both are awesome
Amazing video keep going!
Still underrated channel!
keep it up man 💪
I don't even play minecraft anymore and yet I watch this religiously
Keep it up Logic! Your videos and content are fantastic
Awesome video, as usual.
PS: You clearly deserve more subscribers given the quality of the video.
What a way to add to the merch in the beyond logic shop.
Great video as always! I got inspired and built a similar design in my world but I noticed a slight design change that should be helpful. For items with multiple silos (gravel is a good example) the first silo receives more items then the other silos, so when it fills up it will begin burning items even though there is still space in the other silos. I think the solution is simple: only the last silo for each type of item needs the overflow burner. That way once the first few silos for an item fill up, the items will just continue on to the next one instead of being destroyed and you can still handle overflow.
Alternatively you could replace the top row of chests with a hopper line pointing sideways across all sorters and leading into a disposal system. As the sorters fill up their chests bottom to top, the top 'chest' would simply be the hopper line transporting the items to the disposal system.
You deserve so many more subscribers! Love the vids =)
Really love your intros
yeah they throw bolts at me at one time. but sure they are actually a bunch of generous folk. just need to give them some time and probably bribe them
Nice video broooooo!
This is the second video I watch from you and I loved every part of it. Thank you
Spectacular as always! I am so inspired by your ingenuity and just growth as a Minecrafter & content creator. You never disappoint. Full stop.
Was there an issue with the discard system with QC maybe where you couldn't just power the sticky piston/observer clock directly from the dropper comparator output (a la Pixlriffs, I think)? Might save a few materials, but I'm sure you must've run into some issues there.
Regardless, spectacular.
One big issue with the bottomless sorters: When one fills up, the items for that one will continue to mostly go into that sorter and get destroyed instead of picked up by the next ones in the line, meaning you lose quite a lot of drops once the first of the filters for the same item fills up.
Crazy video.
For the end gateways, maybe birch trapdoors could look better, or iron trapdoors and birch buttons. Love your videos, keep it up!
Awesome vid as always.
How do you know
@@matthies8431 i think he is a patreon
@@leos1428 oh
Congrats on 80K sorry i am a bit late.
Lmao that intro, nice work
Could you make the farm entirely afk chuckloaded by throwing the gold bars from the overworld into the piglins in the nether ? Or the piglins dont trade if a player isn't near ?
They woildn't throw items into portal then
As listening to your intros i would expect you to lead the world already
So crazy impressive
Maizuma Games has a nice armour sorter you could use to seperate the books and boots... otherwise, that is pretty cool.
Your intro is something else
This is so cool 😁
I made a bottomless sorter before...
But it was just a stack of doublechests with hoppers going into them from the side, then the top chest was angled sideways so I could put a hopper below, which then shot items into lava. So items go in, but items that go into the top chest are deleted, so it never fills up
Logic ur videos our on another level. Just a suggestion you might be able to sort out the books and boots using armor stands. I’m not sure if it’s possible just an idea since I know you probably don’t need all those iron boots
I'm sure someone has suggested this already, but stonemasons are a better, faster source of Quartz block
Replace the Wood TrapDoor with Iron Trapdoors, it will go well with the Quartz white finish
GG logic!
The overflow in fire concept was oc already used just designed differently and btw it would be easier to just put Cactus at the end of the stream
I believe you can also sort out armor by dispensing it onto armor stands and breaking them.
If you wanted to double or even quadruple the efficiency you could do four of them all facing towards you in the center
100,000 thousand here we go
I feel bad for your comment section. The first 60 comments all say first lol.
Yes!
I love the intros
RapScallion's Multi item sorter uses the backup dropper thing in his item sorter. He doesn't destroy it, but yeah
Insane video man would u considered attaching a good farm to the back of that to make the gold auto come thru to the hoppers ?
please do a video on the bottomless sorter!
Really cool idea with the destruction system and sending everything to the overworld for some faster processing. My only question here is when you encase the nether portal with class like that, how are you getting back to your sorter when you're in the Nether? Are you flying there from another portal close by? If you figure out which direction the items are coming in to the overworld, if you go the opposit direction in to that same portal won't you come out the opposite side?
I would seriously love a block by block on how to build this exact machine.
also if you flip the chest around to the other side you can just barely squeeze in 2 slices in a single chunk.
add some vines into where the piglins are
Nice! :)
Awesome
I built a piglin bartering farm in my world and it uses double carpet to stack the piglins next to each other
Edwin Lewis the double carpet is not necessary. Its only used for villagers to prevent pathfinding to other workstations.
I mean what sorter logic has made is thought of in people’s brain , as far I know no one has ever made them
Could you use this bartering farm to make a multi dimensional gold farm your basically making a chunk loader if you could make a nether and overworld gold farm to try and use both the mob caps could probably make something pretty obscene
Fire can cause some players to lag though right? Maybe use a cactus system to destroy overflow?
you deserve more views bro. this channel is better than hermitcraft
Hey logicalgeekboy could you possibly make a schematic and make it downloadable for the chest sorter part ? I really love that design you came up with. Love all the effort you put in your videos. You deserve more subs :3
please make a video on how to build this ... great job
The Legacy SM(i)P server!
Did you mean S(I)MP server?
Villagers are probably the best for lots of quartz
Cool
don't know if it is suitable for you playstyle but I'm going away to make chest walls for my farms. I can fit easily a triple shulker loader in the same space but then have more Items per chest. But you would need a mod for stackable empty shulker boxes or a storage silo for them in every farm.
Would it make sense to have the nether side close to the other afk spot so that you can afk the iron farm, wither farm and piglins
What was the actual amounts of each item you split up over the sorter slices? How many columns of each were there?
Put the item frames on the chests
Hello! Love your videos. I would like to know what texture pack you are using (I like the enchantment glow). Ive been searching it for a while but stil did not find it
I think it's called vanilla tweaks
nice
