May as well. At this point I'm at 2 and a halfish shulkers of beacons. I just use them for different lighting options here and there. I don't even know how many wither skulls I have. I built my farm from a 3 intersection fortress. Overkill for a single player world but I'm at 6 years in the same world so I have to keep it interesting.

It’s acctuly smart cause it might be possible for someone to accidently drop like cobble or something but not beacons and skill

Yeah. You build a starter iron farm and then upgrade from there.
i'm really happy with my bartering setup by logicalgeekboy. got the easy gold farm design with 13 plattforms and i don't need an ironfarm anymore. i get maybe like one stack of ironblocks per hour and that is enough for me :)

These are just genius farms. I mean the level and scale is something I wouldnt have time for to make but they sound so interesting or either look so cool that I just want to know how it works. Also love this series as I can see you using a lot of the new 1.17 blocks or mechanics. I really admire the users of thinking of these farms and how to either use a mech you wouldnt first think of or using the new ones to explore what you couldnt do on the big scicraft server.

curse of binding on the iron boots was a great idea. I just tried it with regular enchanted leather boots and a couple of them randomly pick up the iron boots and fall down

lol When you go into the world download the beacon Item filters are named "Needed a filter" Skulls are named "also needed a filter and then there are diamond ore on the second side and those are named "ran out of filters". The beacons and skulls are unlimited with farms but the diamond ore is a pure flex, even with tunnel bores you still have to work for them. Well played Scicraft, well played. This world is nuts for only one month.

Just wondering if someone on SciCraft Blitz saw my bartering farm on r/technicalminecraft from 2 weeks ago in a post titled "I have decided to not finish the Bartervator 2.0 after I came up with this new design for an even better barterer" since they both use the trick with powder snow and curse of binding leather boots. It's most likely just a coincidence, but it would be neat if my farm inspired a farm built on SciCraft Blitz.

just wanted to say that the sorting system at the bartering farm is not fast enough and some items arent picked up and get burned! just wanted to say that so maybe you can build more space for each item so nothing is wasted

Would you consider having a series in a world with mods/etc. similar to your patreon server?
Basically with vanilla fixed and balanced as you'd like it to be, with auto crafting, movable block entites, 256 tall nether, renewable sand.
Maybe even some re-balancing like removing iron and gravel from bartering and adding the carpet silverfish gravel rule.
I would love to see what technical players do in a more ideal minecraft!
It really would make more sense to make iron golems not drop iron and to keep it as a reward from piglins - as they said, it would take a high-end gold farm and a large bartering setup to get a reasonable amount of iron from this.
@@donovanblock7417 I think the quartz and plain gold are enough of a reward for a gold farm.
I don't like modern iron farm mechanics, but I think they're better than the round-about gold conversion that is bartering for iron.

I dont think its needed to keep those iron nuggets, esp since even the smallest iron farm dwarfs what you get from the nuggets, and youll need an iron farm before you make that barter system, youll need one just to keep up with all the hoppers and rails and stuff for gold farms, storage, etc so those nuggets are a waste when you gotta take even more time to convert it , thats just me tho

we got over 1000 shulkers in the mobswitch so 15 people can be in the nether at the same time. atm we rarely have that many people on the server and definetly not all in the nether

I'm sure it was explained in a past video, but it was one I didn't watch.
It's to reduce lag, the hoppers update rarer with composers above them

It looked like your filtering system wasn't able to keep up with the items coming in, some items were getting burnt that should not have been getting burnt
It probably doesn't matter because of the giant amounts they still get
It was set up to handle the average amount of each item we get per hour and not the max batch size. For example a single piglin can drop up to 36 iron nuggets for one gold and if you get unlucky with multiple piglins bartering iron nuggets at the same time the batch sizes just become ridiculous. So if you would want to really account for all edge cases that nothing is lost the storages just become either overcomplicated with overflow detection of stackable items or just straight up huge. We are good with taking the average and just burning the few missed items since we got enough gold xD

Masterful. SciCrafters think of everything! But I agree Piglin trading is too OP. If it can replace multiple complicated farms, then it makes Minecraft a little less exciting.

Instead of all that setup, you should have used cobwebs as the gold will just fall slowly and can’t just fall through the powder snow as it would immediately be picked by piglins !
Now you need a diamond farm
How to do this: build a torture chamber and promise the players that they will only be allowed out if the give 100 diamonds
I think the quary produces diamonds. Even if it doesn't there aren't many uses for diamonds. Most of the important uses are covered by villager trades.

@@sicapanjesis3987 And enchanting tables. I believe they are still unique when it comes to their size/hitbox, their blast resistance and their inability to be pushed. They aren't terrible as decoration either

I don't know, maybe it's to make it faster, but I know that these things above the hoppers reduce lag (they are called composters btw)
