Vintage candy was way better that modern candy who agrees?
I do. I vividly remember having made
a prank twenty years ago to my friends
at the time, offering chocolate cigs.
They were horrified, asked whether I
did smoked but then realised it was
just a prank.
Wow, do a part two please. There are so many more. Like those little wax bottles with juice in them. Or pixie sticks?
Bazooka bubble gum used to come in a rectangle, but it was scored down the center so you could break/tear it in half. I remember sending for a couple of those premiums on the comics...
Used to know "Candy Buttons" as paper dots. They were never individually wrapped when I was a kid. Probably provided more fiber to kids by eating the paper stuck to the candy....
I ate candy cigarettes all the time! Lol. He didn't mention the bubble gum cigars...
Big Hunk, used to be *BIG*. I think that was it's big draw. (No pun intended.)
Mallo cups were okay, but the chocolate on the bottom was often too thin, and the candy made a mess in the slightest of heat...
Note Double Bubble (Fleer) and Bazooka (Topps) are both bubble gum/Sports Cards company...
Don't know anyone who ate Lik-m-aid with their finger. Always just poured it into your mouth. It was a powdered sweet tart. (Or something similar.) Never came with a stick when I was a kid, but I do remember multiple "servings" per package.
Necco chocolate wafers were the best. I think chocolate was the only one you could get in a roll by itself...
It wasn't only lips that came in wax. I remember toungues and teeth as well. There were also those wax tubes filled with a sugary liquid.
The only candy I didn't recognize was the Abba-Zaba, since it was a regional candy. That one wasn't available in the mid-west.
Notably missing were all the licorice candies, charleston chews, bit-o-honey, Seven up chocolate bars, Mary Janes, Turkish Taffy...
Yeah, I ate a lot of candy when I was a kid. But that was back when penny candies really cost a penny... 😁
I've had all but two as a kid. What memories! Looking forward to "Part 2".
Those cream-filled caramels absolutely SLAP
Twinkie's have to be on part 2.... They were a staple junk food back in the early 80's when I was growing up.... You could literally go nowhere without seeing them!!
Interesting topic with lots of new footage. I really like it when you post videos that are not redundancies of prior uploads. Thanks for posting!
Up until a couple of years ago, I could still find candy cigarettes here and there. I still love them.
I used to work at a candy store that had so much retro candy, and had every single candy listed in this video. We had to close due to COVID. But it was so much fun to work there, got to try so much candy that I've never heard of, and haven't seen since I was like 4 or 5
I miss giant Sweetarts. In 1968 could get a sweetart the size of a hockey puck. Took hours to chew thru. Pure bliss.
While I can’t get it these days I am lucky that we have the Waukarusa Dime Store which carries a lot of retro candies. Not that I need it.
Thanks for this ☺️
Super video😉👍❤
Oh my goodness Thank you so much for this video very nice, and what great memories 😊
I used to like eating Bazooka bubble gum when I was a kid and collect the comic strips that comes with it. 😋
Old vintage and retro candies are better than new candies and defenietely here in northen Europe, i like fazer candies and marabou candies. I like chocolate. 🍫
I went to the Mallo Cups factory and was in heaven! I bought so much that, in the aftermath, I gained eight pounds! Best weight gain of my life tho. I'm moving back to the lower 48, near the factory. I'll be visiting again.
I love dubble bubble!!! People always have them at Halloween!
I ate everyone of these candies ❗❗❗👍👍🖐✌👈❗
The name "Bazooka" is a nickname. A bazooka is actually a woodwind, the design of which is similar to the weapon. So the weapon was lovingly given the nickname.
I stopped buying Bazooka Gum when they stopped adding the comic!
Those are some interesting flavors for the wafers
I’m surprised now & later candy didn’t make your list.
You can find alot of old style candy at a candy store called, Rocket Fizz
Yep. I bought a few of these a couple weeks ago at the Rocket Fizz in my city. Love that store.
I remember some of these..👀
Happen to be a lady with very long hair? I find that attractive, describe how it looks?
#15 love bazooka. It's not the same. #14 a favorite. #12😂 pretend to smoke. #10 never did like black licorice 🤐. #4 doesn't taste the same. #1 😂 no thanks. Many more old skool candies to go.
How long do you wear your hair? I find that attractive, describe how it looks?
I’m first YAS
Happen to be a lady with very long hair? I find that attractive, describe how it looks?
@@danielobrien1571 uhh no actually i have short hair
@@twitchunicorn5380 OK, I'm sorry and I apologize if you're not a female, but if yo happen to be one describe your hair like the length and thickness, how you wear it and if you like it tended to. Also, a bit about yourself and your interests please.
@@danielobrien1571 could I ask why(not being rude)
@@twitchunicorn5380 I'll tell you I have a passion for all ladies that grow out their hair and keep it luxurious lengths, and if you're a female then I'd like you to tell me all about yours and yourself. However, if you're not a lady then let me apologize and wish you a good life.
A waste of time,
The narrator has a beautiful voice. 🙂🥰
