Jeremy is back with a new Finger Bang Tip of the Day. This episode is all about filling in the blanks. That is to say, playing Hi-Hats in the silent space between the sounds of your Bass Drums and Snares/Sticks. As always, we're going to do tons of variations and switch the hands back and forth. Make sure you check jeremyellislive for some additional information on this tutorial.

Is it just me, or do you get more and more comfortable as you get faster and faster? Weird, but incredibly astonishing!!!!

Something really nice here is that you start good and slow, just like a practice should be, take your time to develop, then Karate Kid style slide into what wax-on and wax-off can really get you. Thanks again for a really long demonstration.

Paradiddles are extremely useful! I like how you've adapted your paradiddles between two fingers. Accenting paradiddles gives you a whole new world of pattern possibilities. Rlrr-Lrll, rLrr-lRll, rlRr-lrLl, rlrR-lrlL.... The capital letters are the accents. Drummers will mix and match these to get those awesome drum fills. You can also try Paradiddle-diddles, Para-Paradiddles, and so on.

@rockhills Thanks, Rock! You have guessed correctly. I loaded in an old break that I turned into a rex file and am using Maschine in pad mode. Check my new Break of the Week to see it in action!
