That trick will become useful in the near future 👍
Thank you for sharing your opinion with us.
@@autodocuk sadly it did not work. First time I tried whiteout strips and the ring broke. The aftermarket was soft lose and gave me a bad quality feeling. So took the original and tried bend it tighter then I tried that trick. So disappointed when I saw a bit of the ring break again. But thought 3/4 of a ring must be better then none. Since the rest was still in the grove. But same noise is coming from the aksel as before . Feed up everything is replaced and still that ugly sound when turning the steering wheel in slow driving forward and reverse
Better use old original clips they are hard steel, aftermarket ones are soft and come loose.
Thanks for the clarification, your comment will be useful to many viewers.
These guys are so damn helpful they helped me complete my complex cv axle rebuild with one of their tutorials
Grease the clip holds it even all the way around
I'm literally about to do a CV joint in a couple days. Thanks.
same
INTERESANTE VIDEO GRACIAS
Oh man... I did cv joints a week ago and I was struggling with that clip, I wasn't smart enough to think about that solution :(
Nice skills too
Thanks !!!!!!
only works if the clip is on the shaft and not inside the joint (like my volvo v70 i just did the joints on) fucking nightmare to get those on
The zip tie is Unnecessary
Im doing one tomorrow 😊
how did u took it off tho
Two person the first person holds it upright and the second person use hammer & flat chisel to hammer the head right off bro.
Once it's off you'll see two half's the head piece with the grease & ball bearing and the 2nd piece input shaft which has the ring clip on it mate.
Once you replace the rubber boot with a new one with new grease you put everything back together like how it's shown in the video mate easy peasy for a $20 rubber part 😁🤷♂️
The best way to remove the joint is hold it straight and drive the bolt back in, use a socket bit before you but the bolt in for extra push and you'll need a impact gun, thank me later
Where your thumb is at I had to take Tha off the cv axle before it wood go into my hub can anyone tell me why I had to take it off look like it's some kind of It's a metal guard
