Furthermore, Spain has no tradition on superhero movies and many special effects was used for first time. With more budget it can be a great movie, despite so it's full of good scenes: some effects are really low budget effects, but other are really good. The movie was shot for kids and teens mainly. The disco theme song was extremely popular the saturday nights 👍
I wonder if anyone involved with 'Pod People' worked on this one. The flying scenes are cheesy but immensely better than 'Pumaman'. I'm presuming this was made right after Franco died and Spain started having a little fun with things.

So... I have slightly more self-respect than to go looking up the full movie just to confirm this, but... I assume they don't ever explain who's talking at the beginning of the movie, or what the heck that's _about._ I mean, _Abraxis_ at least pretended to explain why it was inflicting Jesse Ventura on the world. I guess standards are lower in Europe.
The hero's concept feels like a non-giant version of Ultraman, but with a mask and a cape. The robot reminds me of the "S3x Robot" sketch by The Whitest Kids U Know, but without the grooviness.
