It was the same with Friend of a Friend, Benny is a very good performer and ESC is about how you sell your song on live. This was just a test. I'm pretty sure that in ESC he will do very well.

The answer is simple. Their national selection was full of top 10 material quality songs. Kemama is not a bad song but it was one of the worst in the NF so it was not a fair win
@ilkldme I mean Australia has had a massive Eurovision following for 40 years now, and even before they were even participating they got bigger tv ratings for the contest than the vast majority of countries in the contest. So its not like the EBU just randomly put them in.
Europeans don't like the sound but he could make it work. Like Poland 🇵🇱 2014 doing ethic rap but they made it work with Slavic "assests". 👯♀️
