- Sitting on top of the freshly fixed OLM, Booster 9 performed its first spin prime test with all of its Raptor engines prior to static fire testing. SpaceX tweeted that the test was successful. Booster 9 performed other tests as well, moving its grid fins and checking out its igniters before the spin prime test.

I just can't say enough positive comments about NSF. QUALITY, and so much information makes my day, everyday...
You can thank Sean Doherty, one of there best!
The bitrate of their videos leaves a lot to be desired. It's pretty bad tbh.

Booster 9 Static Fire next! As early as Sunday. Will be dedicated coverage on NSF. How many engines do you think they will fire up for the Static Fire? X number or all 33?
Also check out our new Retro Starbase merch! shop.nasaspaceflight.com/collections/retro-starbase
Over pressure notice for today?
Might as well light them all to test the deluge/bidet setup.
Yup, all 33 will be fired. Should be interesting.
@@the_Texas_Banditno overpressure notice yet, but we might get one today for the closure on Sunday
I see what you did there with the 'X' number...
It looks like the B9 was venting form the holes around the bottom.
SpaceX is one of the fastest to update & move to the next step. Thank you to you all
A lot of perfection. Everything is very qualitative and quantitative. Not to mention the competence of the professionals involved. This is an important and historic video.
Static Fire next!
in less than 4 months after april 20th, how amazing it is to go from a hole to a spin prime and hopefully a static fire next week.
Spin prime looked great. OLM looks beautiful. Can't wait to see a full static fire with the new deluge system, and of course the next flight test!
SpaceX is doing an amazing job. I think I would love to work there minus the heat. I am in FL and work outside and have to put a rag under my hat, which I dip in a cooler with ice water every 20 minutes or so to keep from over heating. I do take medicine that makes my body harder to cool off but even if I didn't it's still unbearably hot!
Thanks Sean and NSF Crew
The ending rollback of S28 is visual ASMR.
You gotta roll with it😂
With so much always going on at StarBase I am so impressed that you were at the right place at the right time so many times. The ship moving out of Masseys is great. Thanks Sean go this video. Great job.
It is really amazing to see all the rocket rings are seemingly just placed on the ground before taken in to be stacked !!!
SpaceX are really sharing its dreams with all human kind! Thank you for the marvellous viewing pleasure, especially towards the camera people - the workers and all those whom made us dream about space!
I totally agree with you. SpaceX is not afraid to show the work that they are doing regarding Starship, and all the work going on around it. Unlike Blue Origin, who have been very, very quiet, yet again.
Probably because Bezos is swanning around the Mediterranean on his yacht with his very highly modified middle aged girl friend Lauren Sanchez.
Could be worse though, imagine if it was Meghan Markle, dosn't even bear thinking about.
But she was a yacht girl though, so she would know the ropes.
Nice touch ship moving against the background of stars.
Thanks Sean and Thomas. I enjoyed the wildlife shots and the long shots with mirage effects.
Apparently another gse tank is on its way to Texas, starbase I believe. It rolled through my hometown taking up the entire highway
I am sooooooo ready for this!
Hi NSF, I like Sean Doherty's style, I hope he stays with the team for a long time.
Lol that's the first time I've ever seen one of the workers actually acknowledge the camera haha. That's cool again those workers should be proud of the work they are doing! That's going to be an awesome story to tell your kids and grandkids that you were there building starbase! 🤯 Y'all were there when we started to reach for the Stars I know it sounds kind of corny but for real that's got to be an epic feeling for real!
sorry do you have a timestamp for that?
He started throwing up the peace sign at 10:30 mark in the video
@@chadjones2308THAT’S the peace sign?
@@dphuntsman yup I mean it clearly looks like he's looking at the camera
@@chadjones2308 thanks!
Imagine being the guys painting those columns knowing full well whats about to happen to them 😂 the water MIGHT help.
Thanks for the updates Sean and NSF team.
Amazing coverage and content from NSF. It’s incredible to be able to get a ringside seat and watch the development close-up
13:39 even after all this time seeing those SPMT's at work is pretty neat
Kind of ironic that at the 14 minute mark, you see a few satellites overhead reflected in the sunlight. I wonder how many of those are Starlink? 🤔
Yes, they could be airplanes, but I like to think they're satellites Lol
The American flag looked so beautiful blowing in the wind at the top of the tower. Great shot NSF!!
Fantastic content
@NASA Spaceflight .... After the SF of booster 9, Starbase will need to do a EPA test of the water runoff for toxins. If clean, that will pull another issue away from the Eco-friendly group's issues against the FAA and the next Full Stack launch.
I hope they paint the shielding around the OLM as well so it's nice and uniform.
Amazing view 13:44-13:55: a starship moving on the ground behind the trees with back ground sky full of stars!
Brilliant coverage yet again! Thanks!
Most fire episode yet! Thanks ya'll!
super boulot comme d'habitude merci
Nice work Sean!
thank you
10:30 those hard hats look very practical for a place with high temperature, they like sombrero version of a hard hat.
¡Construcciones inconmensurables, esto si es un legado del ser humano para si mismo en el futuro, cimientos de un complejo hecho por manos humanas, creo que definitivamente hemos despegado hacia lo desconocido!
@12:25/14:57 i love the 15 seconds of scene spoofing straight from The Terminator 😅
SpaceX is amazing! If the OLM was a NASA project they would still have a dozen engineers standing around scratching their heads and pointing into the big hole in the concrete!
go B9!!!
That venting is definitely coming from holes at the bottom of the booster
Nice
At 2X speed men and machines move right along!
Always good to see some Methane trucks stoping by... 😋
Beautiful channel...
Rule number one -when you move big rockets at night it must always look cinematic.
LETS GO
I wonder if they plug the "reverse shower" holes when working under the pad. Or do they put a tarp on it?
Next stop the moon! Appreciate your coverage and videos
I get your point, but really the next stop is LEO. The moon is still a couple years away.
It's difficult to realize that I might see a Star Trek type scenario in my lifetime. Glad that I bought an acre of land on the Moon and Mars!
Great shots. Would have liked to see some actual animals in the Wildlife section tho
Sean Doherty took a video at 2:40. Way in the background up in the sky, there appears to be a small blimp (like the ones used at car dealerships). Is someone establishing an aerial webcam over on the southwest side of in the manufacturing complex (over the underwater property sites)?
10:30 gang signs thrown at SpaceX tent assembly
Where is the new tent construction?? I cant figure out where it is!
Will the highbays entrance ways need raising after the additional 'final design' hot stage ring is fitted?
Oh my god
The first time that I saw these videos so early
same
Same! But I moved from England to America so I've got an advantage now!
They need to build catch towers...
Catch towers would cost far less than repairing mechazillas damaged by near misses...
They likely don’t plan to attempt a catch for a while, I’m sure they’ll have a plan in place by then
Man that American flag is beautiful! ❤ 🇺🇸
Starship size is so damn Big to compare Road's Electricity

HLS elevator mach up?
(mystery structure)
Be sure to keep an eye on the can cruncher. Not going for the big fire if there is an awkward crunch...
YOOO
What happened to the hot staging ring test at massey
Currently it's still being prepped for testing. We should see (or not see if everything works properly) testing in the next few days though
Would of loved technical stuff
I see most space equipment being built in clean rooms. This is being done out in the open. What are the likely negative and positive consequences if any?
Eagle eye worker
👍
Just a question, is the American flag on the tower going to be removed before the next launch so it doesn’t get burnt to a crisp?
5:01 anyone know what it’s saying?
"Attention Starbase. The Orbital Pad is now clearing. All personnel must exit the pad now"
Again problems with resonance?
What does a delivery, truck load of methane cost?
Don't know but there's a shitload of it at chicken farms and cattle ranches that JOhn Kerry wants to outlaw. lol
There actually oceans of methane at the deepest part's of the regular oceans, the fish are doing their part as well, if Elon could park a ocean going rocket launch facilities over top of such a place he could vacuum up all the methane he needs.
What does the #9 mean with the boster
it means it's the 9th booster ever built during the course of Starship development
It's the vehicle number. Same as the current Falcon 9 B10__ numbering system
@@moodmusicytc i stand corrected listen to them ^^^^
@@whydoineedhandles thank you. 😊 I thought that it was reused 9 times.
During shuttle kept going on NASA cable and only got history and documentary stuff...Would of sucked it up
If roads were straight 😅
I really can't believe they really thought that the original firex system, was actually going to work for all 33 raptor engines. Lol I knew there was no way that that was going to happen it's too much power
Just wondering, what do you think the firex system is actually there for?
It was the Fondag concrete that Space X hoped would be adequate to protect the pad for one launch before continuing completion of the deluge system.
Space X also admitted that they were wrong in that assessment.
@@michaeldeierhoi4096 I was under the impression that the system dubbed 'FireX' is the nitrogen and water sprinkler system around the underside of the OLM, intended to displace oxygen under the mount so that unburned methane doesn't explode, especially after events such as spin prime tests.
The concrete was just concrete as far as I can tell, not part of any 'system' per se.
This is why I asked originally what the OP thought the system was for. I don't think it's function is to handle the power of the engines once they are lit. I was under the impression the 'FireX' system is to prevent ignition when methane is expelled but not ignited.
I may be wrong though, hence the question.
@@michaeldeierhoi4096 As per a NSF article in Dec 2022, ..."the OLM FireX system. This system uses a combination of high-pressure gaseous nitrogen and water to help mitigate the risk of fire and unintentional detonation during engine testing."
Hence the confusion at the way the OP's statement was phrased.
@@icycooldrink6085 lol I honestly thought they were trying to use it to protect the legs in the ground. Haha again I'm not very smart in all of the rocket science stuff I enjoy watching it lol. So most of the time I'm asking cuz I'm curious about what they were thinking or why they did it that way.
👍👍👍🇮🇳
After every test spacx is painting launch pad pillars, it's funny 😅, no permanent solution? 😂😂
Third lol
launch it launch it launch it!!!!!!!!!!! why is there always like 500 years between each launch
Is Elon Musk par of The Shadow Eclipe Agenda????
Und uns Frauen EINFACH wieder mitreissen 😢
When do y'all think they'll tear-out the nature preserve?
Never.
Maybe when they make your solar powered rockets to advance mankind to the benefit of all? OH wait...we can build one that runs on unicorn farts and windpower too.
When everything dies.
Your OLM audio is consistently TERRIBLE and I say this as an audio engineer who is a big fan of SpaceX and your coverage of their operations. I've waited to say this for over a year since I feel like you have more than enough resources to correct this, but come on guys. Stop using the "Auto" gain settings, or just put the time into figuring out proper gain settings, whichever one. Having completely blown out, digitally clipping audio for every static fire or launch is unacceptable for a channel like this.
Wildlife surrounding Starbase: Almost none. Compare this to updates two or even one year ago. It's a ghost town now animal wise.
It was true that it was a lousy shot depicting wildlife however there are better views to be sure. And I could be wrong, but I have seen no specific study pointing to a decline in wildlife at areas around the Boca Chica facilities.
The 24 hour a day live stream says otherwise, we always hear and see birds , and other wildlife sounds are very common especially at night.
@@corrinastanley125 Yeah and they leave and come back later. They're not stupid.
Even if that was true, I don't see you complaining about wildlife in cities or literally anywhere else where humans are conducting business. No, you're focused on this microscopic place where SpaceX is launching rockets. Why is that I wonder?
@@maultwo Really? You know everything I post everywhere? Kind of creepy.
