- Systems and processes are vital to a business's success. Think of them as the building blocks that you need to scale your business. Without systems and processes, your business has no foundation and will crumble like the dreams we had at the beginning of 2020.
If I'm not getting through to you yet, let me put it this way. You make an average of 35,000 decisions every day. Each of those decisions saps a little bit of your time and a lot of your energy. As coincidence would have it, time and energy happen to be the two key ingredients you need to grow and scale your business.
Without having systems and processes, you'll spend more time and energy making decisions that could have been made for you if you had the right systems and processes in place. Eventually, you will run out of steam, and your business will fail as a result. I don't want that to happen to you or your business.
So, in this video, I help you see why systems and processes inside your business are so important. I also to tell you how you can implement systems and processes and why they are more crucial to your success than you think.

I think that our personal lives need what a business need, systems and processes. I really liked that insightful saying "Goals are for losers, Systems are for winners"
Completely agree! It's an interesting quote isn't it? Most people chase after goals and that is usually wishful thinking. Implement systems.. in business and in life... the goals will follow and more importantly be sustained.

Have you put together a list of all your sops, hiring, interviews,, kpi,s, cash flow, dashboard of sorts? Do you use a daily dashboard to visualize the health of your business? The book "Deep Work" by Cal Newport said the same thing. Set up system to achieve goal
I’ve always though of Systems as effectiveness = efficiency (Process) + personality (Branding/CX), but this acronym is a great way to break it down!!
That’s a great way to look at it too... there’s no right or wrong here. The important thing is we need all of these integrated and optimised in our businesses if we want it to succeed over a sustained period of time! 🚀

I love SOPs, it's finding the time I struggle with... and knowing what to prioritise.
Then you’re doing too many things! Focus on a few things first! Ideally one thing at a time. Get it right. Monetise, systematise, SOP, delegate. Add new thing. Rinse. Repeat. If you don’t have the time then you’ve moved on to the next step too fast without passing go!

As a fellow systems fanatic, there are some great ideas in this video, and I'm delighted you've used McDonald's as an example - I worked in senior management there for decades, working to implement systems.
Amazing! Would love to hear more of your experience with them … what do you think was their secret to “systems” success? BTW I just recorded a video for movies for entrepreneurs (to be released next week I think) … I mention ‘The Founder’ as one of the movies which tells the McDonald’s story. Have you seen it? 😊
