I had a similar problem with noise and lacking power and grey smoke and the smell of diesel , after checking all the usual suspects inc changing the injectors for a good re con set the problem persisted but intermittently , I then managed to get a new fuel regulator solenoid that fits in the back of the HP pump , ( these are difficult to get and took me 2 months to find one as they where never made for replacing ) it is about a 2 hr job without rushing and not too difficult to do , there is a guy on here that shows how to do it , I think his channel is Auto Moto , anyway it solved the problem and she’s been running good for 2 years , I hope this may help someone… My van was a Mk 6 2.0 Di not common rail and the pump was easy to get to from the front I think the Mk 7 is similar and I believe they make a replacement solonoid for this pump…. 👍
Mine does exactly the same, I've had it into a local truck and van centre, they plugged it in and could tell the SCV was operating properly, they advised me that it needed the cheapo MAF sensor that I fitted removing and a Ford MAF fitting the a series of PCM updates is all it needed.
@@TheRenovationProject ive done filter 3 sensors on the rail the filter made it better but still cuts out on low revs think im gonna try changing pump tonight
The house and garden and auto renovation project. I feel you. It never ends.❤
So true!
Step by step will do it 👍
The house & garden opposite looks lovely.
Thanks alot! My car is running much smoother now!

Hi, not sure if you know, almost all if not all transits suffer from a blocked vaporizer in the DPF and mostly wont throw a fault code.

This has been running way better since the filter change, but still a little iffy at times. i think I need to get the SCV tested too.
Mine cuts out when low on diesel, keep it over or around half way and fine,, if the pump in the tank has a crak it suck in air,,,, had this on a 4x4
I'm going to replace the fuel filter. In my MK7-2007 year of construction, I did not find a water sensor. Was this sensor installed in all MK7s?
Late reply, but no I don't think it was.
Is there a fix for this problem yet. 😢
Ive got same problem did you ever find out what it was ?
Not yet. But the change of filter has made a positive impact and it no longer stalls. I need to get it in for a diagnostic, eventually.
