I actually watched this game at my dads house... I remember the big issue about the Campbell brothers... Earl, Tim and Steve all 3 played... A side note, I also watched live, in the Dome, the last Bluebonnet Bowl in 1980... North Carolina and Amos Otis bear the heck outta us on that day... Amos Otis and Kelvin Bryant beat us soundly in the last Bluebonnet Bowl... Hook Em always... 🤘🏼😎🤘🏼🇺🇸🇺🇸

Always watched the Bluebonnet Bowl on TV. Wish I could have seen a game at the Astrodome. I think that was probably Amos Lawrence who did the damage vs TX

Last Bluebonnet Bowl was 1987 when Texas beat Pitt. ' Famous' Amos Lawrence was the running back for North Carolina and also Lawrence Taylor s last college game.

Not back then. Texas was in southwest conference. Colorado was big 8 conference. Those two conferences merged to create the big12 in 1996.
