I swear, you could make a feature-length film by just giving Burgess Meredith a situation and telling him to come up with as many dirty euphemisms as possible.
"Get another actor...please!" Heaven has all the great ones now. Never again will we see such a rich crop of truly great actors & actresses. Boney macaroni, they were fun to see!
I dunno I feel like he was not being professional and taking advantage of the situation. Seems like she’s supposed to be ok with him groping and kissing her inappropriately cause he’s a “star “ and a man 😕
when i'm in a bad mood i watch this...lemmon, matthau and meredith, your talent will never be forgotten, what a bunch, the absolute best of acting, something we can truly call artistic..
Lemmon and Matthau played off of each other *so* well...and Burgess Meredith completely outclassed Jack Benny when it comes to the dirty old man shtick. They all had perfect comic timing, too. Never a pair like these two again.
Archibald Mirenopteryx So right. I don`t know, if i`m getting old, or there is a loss of quality nowadays. I mean, there are good actors, but the mass of actors.... most "STARS" today havn`t even seen a theatrical school at all. A salute to Jack and Walter. P.S. Do you know that walter was close to loose his life when he was young age.
1:07 - Bust my tookus to get here on New Years Eve…or Christmas or whatever the f**k it is. 3:10 - Hey d*ckhead! I’m stuck! LOL Walter Matthau was a riot.
When I saw this in the theater, I laughed so hard I was crying. I couldn't stop laughing for 15 minutes. I think this is the funniest end credits ever done.
Look at these two laughing at 2:20. Priceless! Also loved that part when Lemmon says "Get another actor, please". These actors are still the best to me.
Burgess Meredith was a once in a lifetime actor. From Mick(the trainer)in Rocky, the Penguin in the tv series Batman, Ernie Pyle in The story of G.I. Joe. He was a Captain in the United States Army Air Force during WWII. Not just an actor but, a hero.
Just watched both Grumpy Old Men and Grumpier Old Men today for the umpteenth time 😂😂😂 Matthau & Lemmon were brilliant. Burgess Meredith was on his game till the very end. I hope they’re all making God laugh 😆 their movies never get old. Pun intended 👍👍👍
Favourite bloopers: “Looks like chucks going to enter the holy of Holies coitus uninterruptus” “ I’m the gangster of love I am the lethario of farts” “I can’t I farted I’m afraid to move” “Hey dickhead I’m stuck” “Looks like chucks a tomcat on the prowl meow” “Bust my tuchus to get down here on New Year’s Eve or Christmas or whatever the $&@! You just can't watch these outtakes from these two hilarious films without çracking a smile! Watching Jack Lemmon, Walter Matthau, and Burgess Meredith together is box office magic! I too hope that all three of these gentlemen are all resting peacefully. Thanks for the cinematic memories gents. ♥️🙏👍
I've only seen three Walter Matthau movies in my entire life and they were all classics: 'Grumpy Old Men', 'Grumpier Old Men', and 'Dennis the Menace'. You can't beat 'em.
Thank you for this video! "Grumpy Old Men" is a very special movie for me because that's when I fell in love with Matthau and Lemmon acting together. I was only 14 when I saw it in the movies here in Brazil. Say whatever you want, but those were the days when real comedy was made and when "Grumpier Old Men" came out I decided I should start my own Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau private movie collection. "The Odd Couple", "Buddy Buddy", "The Fortune Cookie" all prove that real friendship could be brought to the movie industry and the fact that they were both interred side by side also prove that they took this relationship to the end of their lives. 14-year-old kids nowadays laugh at "Jackass" and "South Park". Innocence lost indefinitely...
conure58 Thanks for replying, uploader! Is it really cold there as people say? Call me crazy, but I'm a HUGE fan of cold weather as depicted in Grumpy Old Men.
João Daniel (Sennafan1980) It's not always cold. We do have a Summer here and it can get up to 100*F with lots of humidity. And we also get tornadoes once in a while. Winter does get cold though.. Just like you see in the bloopers..
I use to enjoy watching this with my family when I was younger. They're pretty much all dead now so this brings back some good memories. Jack, Walter, and Burgess were great and it's a shame they're all gone and I was only able to enjoy them at the twilight of their careers.
The first film was worth it just for the stinger by Walter Matthau. "If I had known there was going to be a _nude_ scene in this picture, I would've asked for another million."
Another favourite blooper forgot to add; “I’ve been to Hawaii Which island? I kindalikapokeyou Youlikealickydicky Imakindakinky Wannapeekapeepee” 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Couldn’t resist a second thought these three gentlemen were 3 of the finest actors of their time. I know that’s a bold statement but look at the body of each one’s work. The 3 could do it all. Drama, comedy whatever else was left to perfection. I love Jack Lemmon! Watch him if you can with Peter Falk in The Great Race as Professor Fate! Genius comedy from Lemmon and Falk! As a side note Natalie Wood is delicious in this film all through especially in the pie fight scene what a beautiful lady! My most fond memory of Jack Lemmon besides his acting was what he wanted on his gravestone. I’m In!
A funny bit that somehow didn't get included: From the first film, with mattheau sitting in the bath tub: "If i knew there was a nude scene i would have asked for another million"
I remember growing watching both of these 2 movies. I either had the VHS or DVDs, I forget. I must've been 8 years old when the first movie was released. I'm 35 now. I'll definitely have to revisit these soon
"Hey dickhead. I'm stuck."
Love this one.
JW: Looks Like Chuck's slipping her, the old Salami!
(Start's laughing and John is mortified)
John: Oh Jesus, Dad!
I think that one is my favorite, too!

I hear that
Agreed!
Best ever!!

I love burgess
Jack and Walter legitimately loved each other and you could tell. Can't fake that chemistry
"Get another actor...please!"
Heaven has all the great ones now. Never again will we see such a rich crop of truly great actors & actresses. Boney macaroni, they were fun to see!
Burgess Meredith was a laugh riot. Jack and Walter were great, too. I hope they are all resting in peace.
they can't be they both are laughing in their graves forever
Makes me wonder how much ol' Burgess cut up and made out takes in the Rocky movies
All three of them have significantly inspired me and though I'll never be as funny as them I will continue to strive to be
Burgess Meredith reportedly bedded record numbers of starlets in his day, who knew
Hell no they aren't they're all running around the pool chasing that spectral tail drinking a martini with a fat cigar! Cheers!
"Who left?" just fuckin' kills me.
"He's a criminal" was the best. They must've had so much fun on set.
Aiiii, Sophia could still make them mad.....

Yep.. These guys were true actors.. Something we're lacking in today's movies..
Lemmon. Meredith. Matthau. Three of the most classic actors ever. There will never be stage chemistry as strong as this in ANY film, ever again.
You're right, probably the best cast ever put together. Veterans that knew the biz inside and out.
so true
Lemmon and Matthau played off of each other *so* well...and Burgess Meredith completely outclassed Jack Benny when it comes to the dirty old man shtick. They all had perfect comic timing, too. Never a pair like these two again.

It sucks knowing that Jack and Walter are not with us anymore. I hope they're resting peacefully.
At least they left us these wonderful films..
Lemmon: "You're still a putz."
Matthau (In character): "That's my line." LOL
Hey dickhead...I'm stuck

@Scott Murphy And the Fortune Cookie. I think he won an Oscar for that.

man this makes me so sad that none of them are alive anymore. One of the best movies ever.

Taking the skin-boat to tunatown. I love that.
3:10 "Hey Dickhead!!! Im stuck!!!" LMFAOOO RIP Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon
I learned the word schmuck from this movie!
Noone says Schmuck better than Walter did lol
One thing that makes these movies so much fun to watch is that you can tell that the entire crew had a lot of fun making them

Burgess Meredith made both these movies and Walter Matthau and Jack lemon are priceless
They were the best, and can never b replaced!!they make you laugh and cry!
Don't think there was a better Hollywood duo than Walter Matthau and Jack Lemmon in my generation.
How could Walter Matthau not go after Sophia Lauren! Scratch that one off the bucket list! Looks like they all had a blast making these movies!
taking the skin boat to tuna town! lmao!
That one put me over.
Eeehhh you schmuck 🤣. The way Walter says it kills me every time.
Classic....its very rare that a movie and the sequel are both Great and these Actor's are Legends
So happy these movies were made. To use the title, the storyline and to be able to have Walter, jack and BM in a movie just fits perfectly.
