I love lemon water, when I was diagnosed with Type 2, I was a Pepsi Addict. I didn't drink much water. So, I bought several travel bottles and carried lemon water with me everywhere. Today, I don't even look at Pepsi or other soda.
Hello @nicolek4999, thank you for sharing your experience! Switching from soda to lemon water is a fantastic health choice, especially for managing Type 2 diabetes. It's amazing how small changes can make a big difference in our health. Keep up the great work and stay hydrated! 🍋💧
I have been drinking lemon water and green tea for a long time now and I have not seen any change in the diabetes readings Still above normal readings
My readings were off the Chart, it got me off Pepsi 2 liters. See what else might be contributing, Small changes, made a difference
I drink cinnamon and ginger tea with tumeric give me good results when I woke up in the morning I drink lemon water ever day
@loletamott7792 it's the food your eating.
I already drink lemon water, it helps break down the stones in my kidneys. ❤
🍋 Lemon water can have various health benefits, and it's great to hear that it helps you with kidney stones. Staying hydrated is essential for kidney health.
The picture in the title made me think I could have whisky in the morning. 😂

😂😂😂 Me too
I believe chia seeds, and flex seeds are also good for high cholesterol, but I discovered that sprinkling both on my meal or salad, lowered my blood pressure. I went from, high 160 SBP, and 90s DBP, to about, 90/40. It was ok for me bc I am small built. Plus my actual elevated B/P was from the side affects of another 2 medication that caused me to retain fluids. I believe it was the omega 3 in the chia, and flex seeds that reduces the b/p. So read up before you take anything. That day, I had picked my b/p med I had asked my Dr. to double the dose. Luckily I decided to check my b/p before taking the pill otherwise I might not have had a good ending.
📚💡 Rita, your experience underscores how important it is to understand our own health and to stay informed. It's wonderful that you've found a natural way to manage your blood pressure. You're right, always read up and consult with a healthcare provider before making any changes to your diet or medication regimen. Stay healthy and informed!

There is no more best than drinking warm water when you wake up in the morning.
Absolutely, @medelinaguarin4664! Drinking warm water in the morning is a simple yet effective way to start the day. It aids in digestion and hydration, which are important for overall health and particularly beneficial for individuals with diabetes. Do you incorporate any other healthy practices into your morning routine? I'm always eager to hear about different habits that help with diabetes management!
I was recently told I am diabetic, it was nerve wracking but I am new to all the help provided to control diabetes. I am appreciated for all information provided. Thanks and I will try them.

Are there any specific challenges you're facing with your new diabetic lifestyle that you would like more information on?
Goodmorning Dr
when to drink those 5, is it b4 before breakfast or after breakfast@DiabetesF
One caution for those few out there that have a artificial heart valve like me, you may want to stay clear of green tea as it has vitamin K and does not play well with blood thinners maybe one cup a day can work as it will act like a antidote to the blood thinners you are taking if you drink too much. Your regular blood tests will tell if it's a problem or not and if so you can have your dose of blood thinners adjusted. If you have a artificial heart valve you probably already know the do's and don'ts of food intake. Everyone is different their bodies act differently to certain foods and beverages.
⚠️ Thank you for sharing this important caution regarding green tea and artificial heart valves. It's essential for individuals with specific health conditions to be aware of potential interactions with their medications and dietary choices. Always consult with healthcare providers for personalized guidance.

To counter acid in your teeth, you can also gargle with baking soda water right after....

@@DiabetesF Daily: I don't know if these actually work, but I mix baking soda(antacid), ceylon cinnamon, and clove powder on any cereal(raisin bran) or dessert I may eat directly. In addition, I add these 3 and turmeric(with black pepper), ginger, garlic, cayenne, and onion powder into almost all of my non-dessert dishes. And, as far as eating habits go, I try to eat 2 meals one day, 1 meal the next day, etc. If I can't due to extreme hunger, I may go 2 meals an extra day here or there. And, I aim to eat my last meal before 6 PM(but often eat lunch by 2 PM). Carbed drinks--besides milk--are very rare and I have to be rare with that, too, due to it gassing me up. But, if I have milk or any sweet drink, I do the same thing I do with desserts above. Probably 90% water...
I take One-a-Day Vitamins, Potassium(need a whole lot and it's vital: food and supplement), Magnesium(2 different kinds and I double up on those[because the absorption rates are not that good]), Zinc, Milk Thistle, Beet Root, Vit C, Vit D, Vit K, Vinegar, Garlic, and cranberry pills. I got to begin CO Q 10--heard it was super for diabetics. Plus, I could not take Metformin, because it made my kidney area hurt. I have to get back on Berberine(natural alternative to metformin), but the costs(with the costs of all of the other things) have been the reason for me stepping away from it.

I drink water as soon as waking up. Yup will try water with lemon...
Starting your day with water is a fantastic habit, @PinkLighT_wk! Adding lemon to your water can be a refreshing way to boost your hydration and get some additional health benefits. Lemon is a good source of vitamin C and can aid in digestion. Do you have any specific routine or tips for staying hydrated throughout the day that you'd like to share with our community? Also, after trying lemon water for a while, feel free to come back and let us know how it works for you!
@@DiabetesF yes thank you so much. Will update you when I tried the water lemon. I always have my water jug with me even when I go out. Also snacks if I go hungry. I also don't drink sodas anymore, just sugar free coffee sometimes. Should I drop taking vitamin c capsules? I'm trying my best to eat veggies and fruits 😊
i havent try the chia seed in water and acv in water and i wanna try.. the rest ive already try and its good..the best is green tea i always drink this everyday 😊
Hi @racquelblantucas4373, it's great to hear that you've found success with some of the morning drinks we discussed, especially green tea, which is indeed a fantastic choice for its health benefits and diabetic-friendly properties. Incorporating chia seeds into your water, as well as trying apple cider vinegar (ACV) in water, can offer different health benefits, including blood sugar stabilization for some individuals. Since you're considering trying these new additions, I'd love to know if there are specific health goals you're aiming for with these changes. Also, once you've had the chance to try chia seeds and ACV in water, I'm curious to hear about your experience and if you notice any differences in how you feel. Sharing your journey could provide valuable insights for others in our community looking to explore similar options!
@@DiabetesF sure! i would love to share on this community my best morning drinks that help me manage a good health..thank you and god bless 😊👍
Sitruuna roskaa👁hampaille sekä munuaiselle, haimalle kivulias sekä tuhoisa. Tyrninmarja, karpalo, puolukka, mustaherukka, aronianmarjan parhaat.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! You're right, a healthy diet is incredibly individualized. Striking the right balance that caters to your personal needs is essential. It's always a good idea to engage in a conversation with a healthcare professional to explore options that are best tailored to you. 🌟🍽
